I wanted to read more than one chapter before commenting and I have to say that the story is decent so far. The concept is not exactly my style compared to Fairy Tail but it should suffice provided that the actual storyline is well written.

Also, I might be the minority here, but I still think Shiki retained Natsu's personality and Rebecca has Lucy's personality. The only way I can see Shiki being Lucy and Rebecca being Natsu is due to their roles being reversed. Shiki (Lucy) is now the lost one and Rebecca (Natsu) is trying to give him a 'new adventure' to go on.

Like others, I thought the highlight of the chapter was the backstory behind Happy's death during the accident. Hiro Mashima never disappoints when it comes to tragic events. Even the part about Rebecca actually doing something in the fight instead of relying on Shiki to help her was quite satisfying to read.

Not going to lie though, I still think the 'friendship' theme is being overused. Like in Chapter 1, when Shiki was tricked by his own people into leaving Granbell (albeit for his own good), that was executed nicely but it should've ended there. Shiki looking back at his planet and suddenly realizing that they were still his friends killed the moment. As readers, we know both sides of the story so that's what makes it sad (when the people you love do something good for you and you were unaware). But there is no need for the characters in the story to know these intentions otherwise it just ruins the moment. Just my opinion though.

Rebecca is so badass and pretty she already has my heart
Her backstory with Happy is nice too, she seems to be a character with potential. Same for Shiki, the "friends" concept is too much in two chapters but at least he has a reason to be like this unlike Natsu.
I'll try to have my expectatives low but this seems to be a good story!

That twist with Happy give me the feels mainly because I’m a cat person and hoping Elcy is villain and stays as a villain. Also is it me or does that guy with Elcy looks like Laxus?

The twist with Happy gives me pretty high hopes about the series' tone. If there is a similar twist to this clear Erza character, I'm going to be way more optimistic about this series.
