If not a fan of twitter or forum to ask questions it remains facebook. In my opinion, he will only have 10 questions, but if the questions come from our forum he will be okay.

Because it's sci-fi which isn't japans cup of tea. It's very hard for a scific to gain a market there which even Hiro and kishimoto said themselves but they still did it. The reason first volumes had more sales is because it was new and people were trying it out but as soon as they got to know the genre they walked off. Japan is too addicted to romcoms and medieval fantasy genre mangas

Gundam was lucky that it started during the era when scific was accepted and popular 1979

I'm it's much as that as more the pandemic could be at play with sales since you can't go out as much you use to to get the volumes sometimes.

Is Sci-Fi genre that hard? As seen many popular works make fame even in this era before though.

Comes and goes.

Mecha anime and sci fi of that type is still pretty popular, just not as popular as isekai is right now. In manga I honestly think it's just harder to do sci fi. Which probably has to do with time constraints more than anything else. Sci fi requires a lot more world building than your fantasy or contemporary world where you already know most of the rules.

And in anime you certainly don't see the flood of sci fi series like we used to. Most of the really famous anime are actually sci fi after all. Gurren Laggan, Cowboy Bebop, Ghost in the Shell, Code Geass, the various Gundam series, the list goes on. I sort of wonder how much the "Bad CG" problem has contributed too it. Not sure exactly why that happened but that became a real problem where every mecha anime looked like garbage because they battles all looked like stiff plastic toys fighting.

Regardless, I think there are advantages to standing out. Which is something that Edens Zero has going for it.

And for me the bad sales of EZ are influenced by that, young people who start their life in the manga are being influenced by these haters, on twitter, forum, youtube.

It's overreacting there. It sells good especially for new series like itself. I think by now it's over 1 million+ sales if we take account of both physical sales and digital sales overall and that without an Anime still.

Spoiler: This is why people say that EZ = FT2

When people say FT bis they mean it's always based on traveling with friends, with fan service everywhere, even in the serious stuff. And the treatment of friendship in the arcs is the same as FT. If the manga was really different we would have seen it chapter 1, normally it is not possible to make 2 manga that are so similar in some chapter
It's not because your universe changes that the background and the personal too lol. You only have to see the manga of the same author which are Soul Eater which is based on the witch and Fire force on the firefighter, the 2 manga have for main theme the mental madness and how to fight against this madness which can make you stronger but also weaker

Mashima is not limited in these looks like the world is fantastic, yet it's crazy the number of similar characters. In the amv you only have characters from eden zero and even me who is watched FT from far away I see a lot of very similar characters, you lower the sound and it comes back to the same.
Klain= moukoi kleene= brandish homura= wendy
klenne doesn't look like brandish (just hair color) or moskoi a kain (just skin color)

EZ sells very well in France, still in the TOP 5 or 10.

Afterwards I don't know in other countries.

But in Japan the numbers only go down like on the yutu link.

It's not catastrophic but its scary this constant descent.

Not all new mangas can rise or stay on constant level without an Anime though. Doesn't series is doing bad and plus pandemic play a role why not much physical copies are sold since Japan are quite careful when dealing on stuff like that. Don't think it means what you think as still very decent good sales for it and that without digital sales to account on it.

Eden's Zero Chapter 114 (Named Glue) brought by Ramen:

Summary: ​

Chapter finally gave us some action on the ground in this neutral planet that we have come to know as Forestra. Continuing from the surprise assault by the machines, Shiki and friends have gotten ready to fight and take on not only the giant robot that initially ambushed them, but also a wave of robots that have surrounded them on all sides. This time they have everyone's favourite mukbanger Couchpo as she tries to eat the robots which seems very effective.

Next panel cuts to Sister treating Kleene but the latter doesn't want to be treated since she's started to enjoy her time on the Edens Zero. She believes that if she get's better, she will be forced to leave but Sister confirms to her that no matter what happens, she does not have to leave and will be welcomed immediately by everyone. The only thing standing in her way is Jinn because we come to realize in a dialogue between Sister and Jinn that Kleene has a emotions disorder. If she shows any emotion, she will have a mental breakdown which is why she wears an emotion-suppressing device. After a rough back and forth between the two, Jinn pleads not to ask Kleene what happened in the past because she will not be able to contain her feelings.

Right after, the telecoms come on and announce an emergency and that the ship is being approached by multiple (116 to be exact) attack drones. However it's up to Laguna, Jinn, Kleene, and the remaining shining stars to protect the ship while Team Shiki is out and about.

As Team Shiki is running away after what seems to be their victory against the robots, they are approached by the cutest robot and character in this series after Pino. This robot is not an enemy and it pleads to Shiki for help. It tells them that though Ziggy corrupted most of em, some are still fine and are friendly but a group of outsiders came and started killing all the bots. It turns out these group of outsiders are actually Emperor Nero's crew. Shiki tells the cutebot that they will keep it safe and not let it die but then here comes Mashima and pisses me off by having a character immedaitely kill it off.

Who is this mystery person? It is Emperor Nero's beast team commando Mora and we know we know he/she can lasers and use a sticky substance against enemies which relates back to the chapter's name "Glue." Chapter ends with the mystery person using the the sticky substance to stick them to trees and getting all serious demanding they thank him/her for killing the cutebot.

My Thoughts​

I thought this was a good chapter with a lot of action, and some really good character development especially for Kleene. It was also nice to see Jinn have a softer side for his sister and he's not just a hard-headed random with a sister complex. Rather, he truly does care for the safety for his sister. However, this chapter made me angry, sad, and very very salty because they killed the cutebot. Such an adorable character that Shiki wanted to keep safe but no, Mashima had to go and kill it. I really hope this mystery person suffers......badly.

So we do know that this person is apart of Nero's squad so I'm anticipating a fight very soon and a big fight this arc with Elsie who's being followed by the Galactic Union Army. Combine this with Nero's squad and Shiki? Yea.....something big is happening soon.

Like I said, I really liked this chapter but the killing of cutebot made me very salty which brought it down.

You should be happy the series is darker than upset on killing when Mashima did state this series going to be different than his last ones.
