But Break is mostly used for offense, sure it protects the user as well, but I don't think that there should be a link between the two, like it's hereditary or something. Anyway I'm really curious about Zaratras, and I'd like to see him in action, since apparently he can take on Meliodas.

Well i'm not so sure how accurate the rough translations are, but apparently Zaratras offered to cure those vampires he was talking to and when they refused he defeated them instantly without really trying. So regardless of what his power is, he does seem to be extremely strong.

We can see a bit of Ban's sacred treasure. It looks like a regular set of nunchaku here, but I can't really see if it has an extra section in the middle. Either way, I think it can propagate it's sections to increase it's length.

It's really weird to see Dreyfus and Hendricksen talk normally to Mel. The vampires really look grotesque, they're so thirsty for blood. I love Ban's hair, and I was hoping that the cover would have all the sins, not Mel and Elizabeth...
Lol Escanor is so weak in that form that he literally has Mel carry his sacred treasure for him

Ban's armor is the most badass imo, too bad Nakaba didn't stick with the rapier for his ST, it's better than the nunchaku imo, but I guess it doesn't fit Ban's fighting style after all.

Wait, isn't escarnor's power supposed to change through the day? With nighttime being when he is stronger? I get the impression that by the time meliodas and escanor appear it is nightitme already. Or maybe his change isn't gradual?

I do believe someone mentioned that his power is actually at it's peak in the daytime and not nighttime like we first thought. I think I'd prefer his change be gradual instead of instantaneous, but Nakaba might just have it be instantaneous for drawing convenience.

no, when the sun rises it becomes daytime. When the sun sets, it becomes nighttime.

if he changes when the sun rises, he is strong during the day.

Vampires become twice stronger at Night and it looks like Escanor is not the Vampire King. Merlin's ST really is a crystal ball.

Fun chapter. Nothing much I can add to it that hasn't already been discussed when the raw came out. Next part of this should be quite action packed. I like how humble Escanor is. He is so worried about inconveniencing everyone, lol. Nothing about his strength change during the daylight though. I mean, we can make that assumption, but it wasn't implicitly said.

Escanor doesn't have the spear anymore. It's an axe. You can see it a little in the chapter. The anime showed it first though and there is a screen grab floating around that shows it.

I assume because of the "Oh...no! Mer...Merlin did that just for me?" line of dialogue. I could see how it could be interpreted that way, but I just thought it was him being humble again.

yeah i suppose your right.

The only reason I guessed it was that was because it's connected to Lugh's Sun spear, which would also help the "Meliodas is Lugh" theories that are floating around currently
