We don't know exactly what he did but the thing is that he bypassed Zel's borrowed DK magic, something that Ludo wasn't capable of doing. 2nd DM Mel clashed with Sun Mael at a certain point of the day and made him retreat. He's at least comparable to Sun Mael at a certain point of the day (who should be equal if not a little bit stronger than Ludo and Eli). I still don't see them being equal to a fully powered AM Mel unless Nakaba starts showing crazy feats from them.Prime Meliodas doesn't really have many feats then, the only thing really recognisable is him overpowering Zeldris magic immunity but given how we don't know what his magic actually does, could actually make such a feat redundant in the future. As for equalling Mael and making him ''retreat'', given how Nakaba-sensei has the biggest erection for Meliodas and how there wasn't a full fight and just a small clash, once again makes this feat NOT that impressive.
So by feats, you really don't have that much going for you, so we rely on statements, to which Mael CLEARLY suggests that Elizabeth & Ludoshel are comparable to Prime Meliodas, because they had the capability of replacing the role Gowther envisioned for Mael (i.e turning someone with power like Meliodas over to the Demon Clan)
Ludoshel got tossed around like a dog, his attacks weren't doing anything to the Indura, not even a scratch. How that makes him comparable to Prime Mel? Granted, we know that he wasn't going all out but I doubt he would have beaten them still, given how Eli, who is comparable to him as stated by Mael, couldn't do it.It really isn't, because we've had Mael himself say that Ludoshel + Elizabeth are comparable to Prime Meliodas and have feats to back this up. Ludoshel was able to almost stalemate Indura Derieri in speed and only received minor injuries from a demon who's vastly superior to everyone else in the clan and easily comparable or above Prime Meliodas in Phase 2. We then have Elizabeth overpowering Phase 1 Indura quite easily and being able to stalemate them in their strongest darkness-enhanced form despite it being a 1V2. Granted, she would've eventually been pushed back and had to use the entirety of her magic reserves to pull off such a feat, but she practically made these powerful demons beg in resisting her.
Prime Meliodas has less notable feats than Ludoshel or Elizabeth, whom were able to resist or perform very well against Indura's - creatures whom are beyond 200,000 and easily comparable to Prime Meliodas.
All in all, Mel looks more impressive to me:
- Clashed with Sun Mael, making a Ying-Yang symbol, and made him retreat. This already shows that 2nd DM Prime Mel outside of AM is at the very least comparable to him at a certain point of the day. Sun Mael at the same time should be no weaker than Ludo and Eli (in fact, I'd argue that he is a little bit stronger given how he was still viewed as the hope of his clan and his "death" made the entire clan activate the seal).
- Casually bypassed Zel's borrowed DK magic, something that Ludo couldn't do. Casually blocked Zel's sword attacks with his bare hands, while he was also protecting Eli from Estarossa, the same swordsmanship that scratched Ludo in a nerfed human vessel.
- Zeldris, who was easily overwhelming Ludo with his OG magic said that Mel is too damn strong in his fight against Escanor, meaning that AM Mel is most likely above his little bro even with his OG Magic activated.
- Ludo in his OG Body already showed some signs of hesitation to fight him in his 2nd DM Holy War version.
The Goddesses' track record also doesn't help it. Ludo has been overwhelmed by Indura, Zel and Cusack, demons who should be still weaker than Prime Mel (at least Cusack and Zel, not sure about the Induras). All in all, until Ludo or Eli show more feats, I will hold firm in the belief that they're only comparable to 2nd DM Mel outside of AM and the only one who can equal him in that state or beat him is near noon to noon Mael (not taking into account the SD for obvious reasons, of course).
There's a little difference here. Nothing suggests that Mel got overpowered, in fact, if someone got overpowered in that clash (thing that I doubt, but you're the one who brought this point) was Mael, who retreated in his own domain.A single clash of energy doesn't equate to 2ND DM Mark Meliodas being equal to Mael or the other top tier Goddesses though? By that logic, Ludoshel was able to equal Cusack in speed even though at a second clash he was overpowered.
We didn't see the full fight, so you can't create the conclusion of equivalency - especially when Nakaba literally does anything to make Meliodas look good. Just look at how the chapter puts so much emphasise on Meliodas presence alone, with Bellion fanboying over him and regurgitating his titles for the 100th time.
Mael his equal, gets what? nothing on that level of spotlight so i really don't take that special chapter seriously considering nakaba's track record.
I'm fully aware of what you're trying to say, but feat is feat nonetheless. You can't just say the feat is invalid just because the author likes Mel too much.
Ehhh, you misunderstood me I think. In this part of my argument I was refering to Prime Mel without his OG Magic, obviously the SD is far above him, which is why I said "outside of the SD". I still think the only one capable of equalling or defeating a fully powered AM Mel would be near noon to noon Mael. In the other hours of daytime they should be pretty much equal given the clash and the Ying-Yang symbol they formed. The Supreme Deity is far above him, why is this even a point of discussion? Why has the entire Meliodas fan-base become crazy and deluded that a single magical power allows him to bridge the immense raw power gap between himself and the Gods? They murdered him and Elizabeth very easily in battle and Meliodas himself has mentioned one more than one occasion that he requires all ten commandments in order to become on par with his father and break the curse. Meliodas is not comparable to his father, this has been expressed and established at multiple turns in the story, but all of a sudden him revealing a new unexplored magic power has the entire fandom up and running? What is wrong with you all, I'm genuinely curious at how people can believe in such an irrational thought?
As for Mael, since his statement confirmed the comparability between Ludoshel, Elizabeth, himself & Prime Meliodas then I'm pretty sure Near Noon/Noon Mael is far beyond anything Meliodas can do. Hell, this shouldn't even be a point of discussion either, Escanor's feats with the sun blessing are crazy and he doesn't have a base of Mael.
Okay, if character A can destroy or inflict mortal injuries to character B, character A has also the same restrictions as character B and that character B admits that character A can fight him then that means that character A and character B must be comparable to each other. I don't know what is so hard to understand here. I'm not saying that they're equals, but comparable.

Because Flash has been beyond disappointing so far? Zeldris could compete against it and surpass it with ON, and Cusack also competed and surpassed him. There's no reason to think that Prime Mel, who is clearly stronger than these two, is going to be blitzed by him, even if he is on his OG Body.Barely surpassed him in speed when Ludoshel was inside a vessel whom teached Zeldris to become the fastest in his clan, why is there any contention on whether Ludoshel is faster or not than Meliodas in his real body? His entire character is known as ''Flashing'' and remarked on his speed, but Meliodas never gets this.
What do you mean that he isn't on AA level? AA level has different layers. Sariel and Tarmiel are on the low end and Mael, Ludo and Eli are on the high end. 2nd DM Holy War Mel is easily above Sar and Tar, since these two are confirmed to be around 90.000, and obviously Holy War Mel is far above that since Ludo was concerned about him and immediately called for their help.Obviously, but its no secret that Elizabeth's durability isn't on par with those she's comparable with since she's almost entirely made up of magic PL wise. I know we didn't see the full fight, but if 2ND DM Meliodas (Holy War version) is on par durability wise with the Goddess Elizabeth when he's much more specialised in that category, easily shows he isn't at AA level.
Just because Eli apparently did just as well as Holy War Mel in resisting against the Gods, that doesn't prove she was stronger than him at that time, since we don't even know how the battle went on and if Eli was really tanking the attacks head on.
My point still stands. If durability was 100% related to strength, Gloxinia would have no durability at all, but that isn't the case since he still survived to a few punches of Mel.You say resist, but the best he did was avoid a few punches and had to immediately heal himself since 1-2 hits were enough to keep him down.
Surely, because saying that the DK can stomp him when he literally said that he can fight him is way more correct, no?I've got to love how the second the Demon King says ''fight'' everyone begins to have the interpretation that Meliodas can suddenly duel him as an equal, when this is completely incorrect.
We don't know if the DK had The Ruler deactived or not, specially when we know that he can turn it on or off in an instant. We also don't know if he was weakened from his 50% state or not. He has been eating the purgatory creatures for over a billion years, not to mention that he stole Ban's strength during 60 years. There's no reason to assume that he's clearly weakened as you're saying. I agree, though, that he was off-guard and overconfident since he didn't think Mel had the balls to use that magic, but still none of this proves he would stomp him in a fight, specially when he himself clearly said that Mel can fight him with this magic activated, so obviously "The Ruler will render Mel's OG Magic totally useless" is very, very debatable. He already bypassed Zel's borrowed version without using it. Granted, I know that the version Zel has is not comparable to the real deal, but what I'm trying to say is that Mel already has a track in bypassing The Ruler without OG magic, so you shouldn't take for 100% granted that the Ruler will render his OG magic totally useless.Yes, he destroyed the Demon King's arm but you all seem to love bringing this up and avoiding the fact that said God had deactivated ''The Ruler'' and had his hand stuck down a drain, which basically constitutes as him being ''off-guard'' since he had no way to react to any threat coming his way, essentially when he assumed Meliodas wouldn't use an ability and underestimated him. Now, since we don't know the true nature of his original magic, I'm going to make the assumption that ''The Ruler'' will turn it into healing, effectively rendering it useless.
It's not even a real representation of what would happen in a real fight, the Demon King was weakened, over-confident, deactivated his magic and was off-guard. Yes, we know Meliodas wasn't at his prime but we saw what happened in his Holy War version. His prime wouldn't help much + when the DK took the fight serious.
So yes, in a serious fight, Meliodas stands no chance and is far beyond the realm of being called ''comparable'' to the Gods.
It means, since the only two characters confirmed to have these kind of restrictions are the Gods themselves, so Mel having the same restrictions as them is a sign that he should be not far below their level. This is again reinforced when his father says he can fight him and that he has the capability to destroy his body.So LOL? It means absolutely nothing, especially when we don't know whether you can actually be below God-level and still have the same restriction.
You're once again grasping at an unknown variable to make a very bold claim, see the issue?
The weakened and "The Ruler" deactivated Demon King is your own head cannon also. I already said that he can turn that ability on or off in an instant so him activating that ability before catching Mel with his hands is not out of the possibility. The DK also consumed the wild beasts of purgatory for more than a billion years. Those beasts are no fodder, since they were able to overpower for some time Ban and Emo Mel before the 60 years of fighting against the DK. Not to mention that he absorbed Ban's power for 60 years non-stop. So yeah, there's also no evidence to suggest as a fact that the DK was weakened.Where's the evidence LOL?
Your evidence refers to a vague statement from the Demon King, him stating ''fight'' doesn't refer to ''comparability'' in anyway, that's simply your head cannon. The other evidence is him harming the weakened, off-guard, overconfident and ''The Ruler'' deactivated Demon King.
The evidence is not even close to ''comparability'' but apparently the entire Mel fanbase is making such bold claims. its honestly ridiculous, especially when you all conveniently ignore the Demon King killing him without effort and needing for his son to absorb the commandments to become on par with him.
There's MORE evidence to suggest he isn't comparable or close to the Gods tbh.
And no, there is more evidence that suggest he is comparable to them. The first evidence is the DK himself stating that with this power he can fight him. The second one is that he was able to destroy the DK's arm in an instant, a feat that shows that he clearly can damage them and has the capability to destroy their bodies, as stated by the DK himself. The last one is that he can't stay into the Mortal Realm, just as them. The only thing that goes against all this is the argument that Mel needs all the commandments to be equal to his Father in order to break the curse, but that has many holes. The first one is that Mel is clearly afraid of using that OG magic, so he could very well not have taken that into account. The other one is that with 10C, he will be equal to his Father, but that still doesn't contradict what I said about him with the OG magic being comparable to them. Comparable doesn't mean equal, for all we know Mel could very well still be a little bit below (but still strong enough to fight them and not be fodderized) them, and that is the reason he cannot break the curse.
My point is very simple. When a character uses his magic or OG Magic he/she becomes exponentially stronger. Zeldris for example would have been fodderized in the first page by The One, but his Innate Magic ON, allowed him to stand his ground for some time, scratch him, repel some of his attacks and even push him back for some moments. I'm using Zel as an example, because his case is probably the one that is most similar to Mel, but literally this can be applied for everyone in the series to some extent. What's the point you're making?
Zel with OG Magic >>>>> Zel without OG magic.
Going with that route, Mel activating his OG magic should make him far stronger than he was before. He was already among the strongest mortals without it, so what will happen if he becomes exponentially stronger by activating this magic? It isn't delusional to think he would be comparable to them, IMO.
My point is that Mel with OG Magic is far stronger than without it, as showed when he literally destroyed the DK's arm in an instant, when seconds before he was hopeless against him.Sure, but I don't know what point you're making again.
It was just an hypothesis. The 10C argument doesn't mean he's far below their level with his OG magic. As I already said he's afraid for some reasons to use this magic so it's not silly to think that he isn't taking that into account when these claims are made, and even if he cannot break the curse with it (most likely will be case, IMO) that still doesn't mean he's far below them. To break the curse you need to be at least equal to them. I already said that just because he's comparable to them doesn't mean he's equal or stronger than them. He could very well still be a little bit below them to be unable to break the curse, but still be strong enough to fight against them and not be fodderized. If it WAS REALLY THAT EASY, do you honestly believe Meliodas wouldn't have done it by now?
What's easier?
-Collecting all commandments and absorbing them (which is a risky process) in order to become the Demon King and break the curse
OR
-Activate his real magic and break the curse within seconds?
And don't give me ''but he's afraid to use it'' considering he was afraid of becoming his old self but had 0 care for it if Elizabeth's curse would be broken.
He's not God level or even comparable, why do u think he needs all ten commandments to become equal to his father? why are you ignoring this for a ''well og magic lol'' argument that has countless flaws?
Most likely the only way on which he can break the curse is with the 10C, but that doesn't mean that he would be stomped with his OG Magic as I already said earlier. 10C and OG Magic are two completely different things. It's also been stated that Meliodas needs commandments to become on par with his father and break the curse, even mentioning to Elizabeth that it was all he had left in options. So whilst it hasn't been stated as you said, there are other points in the manga that literally say only 10C's can break the curse.
It's not a pathetic argument, it's a fact in the manga that he didn't want to use this magic because he was afraid. We don't know why he's afraid, but calling it pathetic before even knowing why doesn't make you right. As I already said the 10C argument doesn't mean that he isn't even close to them, because:Yes we can lol
-Meliodas never used it yet wanting to break the curse for 3000 years. Telling me he's afraid of using his magic or more willing to suffer for thousands of years is beyond unacceptable, in fact its a pathetic argument.
-said on multiple occassions only the commandments could give him enough strength to break the curse
-literally said to elizabeth it was the only option he had left and begged her to accept it.
So with such information its easy to conclude that he's not at the God's level (or even close to it since he needs all ten) and his real magic won't make a difference, stop with the head cannon.
1. He could very well have excluded his OG magic out of the equation. It's not silly to think this considering that he's afraid of it for some reasons.
2. Even if he can't break the curse with his OG Magic, that doesn't make him fodder to the Gods. He can still be comparable to them (in that case a little bit below but strong enough to fight them and still threaten them, as showed already).
