I don't get that recent Elizabeth hype here. Everything she does or is said about her now is often overhyped, downplayed etc. The thing that baffles me the most is the fact that Meliodas hype is used for her even though it should not be the case at all.
Elizabeth is strong yes, but I can't see her stronger than the Archangels or the Sins(right now she's stronger than Ban though). She doesn't have the hype of a top tier. The Sins are supposed to be the best of the best, they are the seven fated heroes and will end up as the greatest. Why should she be some incredible powerhouse like Meliodas? Because both are the kids of DK and SD? Your talent doesn't depend on this. The DK got two genius sons and one with low potential.
Elizabeth has not shown anything making me think she is stronger than the Archangels. It doesn't even look like she was that famous in the war(yes she is a "pacifist" but that is not an excuse). What I see is that she excels at White Magic stuff. Tarmiel himself said that it was natural for Elizabeth to lose to the Induras since he and his comrades were overwhelmed.
She is important indeed, but more important than the Sins overall? I don't see how. Just like Elaine to Ban, she is a core element in Meliodas's(the main character)'s story. She is far more important than Elaine though.
With Elaine's recent power up I'd say that Elizabeth is between 16K and 30K. I also say this because Gowther, King, Merlin and Diane are currently at the level of low tier Commandments. Fraudrin who had PL of 30K was considered unworthy and I can't imagine Elizabeth stronger than them. Being the SD's daughter is no feat.
With a PL like this and her excellent abilities for anything White Magic related, she is more than competent enough to support the Sins, who are actually supposed to be the greatest fighters. And that's what she is doing since her awakening.
Meliodas hype? Specify.
Elizabeth doesn't have hype? It might just be me, but Elizabeth has been consistently being praised every chapter for the last few, which in turn generates hype. Plus, hype isn't a mandatory requirement to be top tier. The sins aren't the ''best of the best'' yet though, top tier demons and Goddesses both surpass them in strength and this statement will only come to fruition at the end of the manga, so it doesn't really have relevance here when discussing Elizabeth.
And Elizabeth holds a special position in this manga. She's the main female lead, Meliodas eternal-lover, daughter of a God, princess of the Goddess clan and Liones. Point is, she takes an important role in this manga, so why is it fair if she's weak and vulnerable? Doesn't she deserve to be powerful? I'm not expecting her to reach levels of 142k+ but I'm expecting for somebody in this position to be powerful and unique.
Elizabeth has already shown you a feat that places her as superior to the AA's. AA's, even Ludoshel's failed miserably against Phase 1 Indura, even when Derriere allowed his light to hit her without resistance, it didn't do anything - not even physically push her back. Yet Elizabeth was able to physically push back 2 Indura's and force them to transition to Phase 2 in order to avoid purification, and even then they were desperate against her, but she was being pushed back in the process. It doesn't matter that she couldn't finish the job, because realistically she was already doomed to begin with. Individually the Indura's are incredibly strong and easily dealt with the AA's, so for her to take on 2 Indura's in a 1v2 situation AND when they have a power-up to use makes what she did incredible. It's not like her light immediately failed after they entered Phase 2, she held herself and was only slowly being pushed back: both oppositions were desperate and it's why I believe if Elizabeth had taken Indura in a 1v1, she would've purified them successfully - just imagine if she could've combined that second drill into a stronger one against Derriere individually? Derriere was already desperate and struggling slowly to push back a single drill, so Elizabeth would've most likely succeeded.
This moment demonstrated how superior Elizabeth's magic is to the AA, unlike her brethren her release of magic illuminated the entire battlefield, made the Indura pay attention and push back Ludoshel because of the force/shock. To do a feat like she did, take two opponents who wiped the AA easily and even make them desperate in a powered-up state takes a vast amount of magic power, so the gap between herself and Ludoshel must be considerably large for that.
People underrate this moment because they don't fully analyse it in my opinion, it showed the full extent of her power and if you actually consider to evaluate what happened in detail, you'll see what she did as more impressive.
Not really. The only way this would have been proven is if her Ark managed to damage Estarossa while their's didn't. However, neither of their Arks had an effect on him. They praised the power of her Ark, only to attack with Arks of their own. So, despite her's not working, they felt, for some reason, their's would work. It's still vague as to who's magic is superior.
As Demonspeed pointed out and and I said earlier in the thread, Tamriel's words imply that it was obvious she wasn't going to succeed in purifying them and, in the end, she needed their additional power to succeed. What was made obvious is they were all weaker than the Indura and couldn't do anything until they combined their magic.
Also, Ludociel wasn't trying to cleanse them, he was trying to kill them. We don't even know if any of the AAs have the ability to cleanse like Elizabeth does. He seemed to also be rather confident that it would be easier to kill them than to cleanse them.
Elizabeth isn't currently at her full strength, since she's a human - so any ability she is going to used is going to be limited in power. And as for the Estarossa situation, the AA's did comment it was surprising he received no damage from it, but such a statement from them makes no sense. The ark she used on Estarossa intended to displace him away, it's primary purpose was to create space and move him away, not to harm or damage him - so why would they comment that he should've been damaged from this ark? It's such a weird comment that even FKS found it strange.
In my answer above to Demonspeed, it was pretty much inevitable for Elizabeth to fail against the Indura individually, considering how strong they were and it was a 1v2 situation where they had access to a significant power-up, yet despite that she did incredibly well and stood her ground. I'd actually argue that Elizabeth was stronger than both Phase 1/2 Indura, but because it was a 1v2 situation she was overwhelmed and couldn't successfully win by herself. It's not too far fetched to believe this either, someone like Meliodas was stronger than Gloxinia and Drole individually, but in a 2v1 situation even Meliodas would utlimately fail.
It really doesn't matter what Ludoshel was intending to do. If his offensive ark couldn't do a single scratch against a single Indura who wasn't putting up much of a resistance then his magic power wasn't going to do anything regardless of what attack he attempted to do.
