On a sidenote, Meruem is listed with 6 points in each attribute behind the interrogation mark, while Jyro's is completely blank.

Overall this lists several qualities of the character, so you shouldn't take the "total" too serious, since even a normal person like Komugi is given some points.

If you are looking for "power levels", you should check the Aura (bottom stat) of each character.

I was surprised by Hisoka improvement after the Hunter Exam. It seems that at the beggining his Aura wasn't still on par with the professional Hunters.

It seems that Genthru was a really strong guy afterall. Gon defeated a very dangerous opponent.

Now Gon and Killua should be able to stand on their own against the Ryodan.

Thank you for sharing this. I like that it confirms what I have said for a long time about Genthru.
Also it shows that Gon has indeed been progressing at a steady rate throughout the series.
I laughed at the first one with Netero just full for everything haha.

I am not surprised by Netero points. His Aura should be superior to all other Hunters, and for all other attributes he is almost perfect.

About the Aura ranking and Knuckle's ability:

● Gon with 21,500 was ranked 3 in Aura.
● Morau with 70,000 was ranked 4 in Aura.
● Yupi with more than 700,000 was ranked 5 in Aura.

Additionally, Komugi who doesn't know how to use Nem is ranked zero, while Meruem is (?) the only one with six.

If I was to guess:

● 10,000 or more - 3 points
● 50,000 or more - 4 points
● 250,000 or more - 5 points
● 1,000,000 or more - 6 points

I don't really care too much about the power hexagrams because they're just supposed to be a very, very, VERY rough estimation of things.

More than evolution I would say that Togashi is fitting a bit more the power levels. It's the same thought I have about how Nen is conceived. The initial stuff was a rough and then He started to "fix" things. That's why it seems that Hisoka evolved, in my opinion.

I'm pretty sure those numbers they just had Togashi look at it and he said, 'looks good enough to sell it for $5' because by some of those numbers you'd get Komugi is stronger than most people who tried to become a Hunter.

The power hexagon is more useful in creating certain groupings. I think it's said that a character that's 3 or more below another character in total is considered no match against the said character. I.e. Netero at 30 will beat anyone that is 27 or lower, which is pretty much everyone besides Royal Guards. Meryem at 36 means no known characters in the HXH universe is a match for him. In fact, he's two tiers above the closest character (Netero) to him.

Gon and Killua are also more than one tier below the Royal Guards, which is consistent since we are reminded numerously time that pretty much everyone minus Netero put together in the Ant arc still has no chance of beating any of the Royal Guards.

Even off by 1 in any particular field is pretty significant on this chart. Meryem has 6 in everything, and yet Netero cannot possibly guard against any of his attacks if they connect (he ripped a leg off in one hit). There's also a lot of indication that Meryem could've killed the Royal Guards in one hit if he really went all out. So at least 5 versus a 6 is nowhere close.

Why would you say that? She is given zero in Aura. Her points are because of her intelligence, which of course is true.

Meruem is not a good example if you ask me. He has that question mark on his chart which, imo, means his abilities in every aspect are simply off scale and more than can possibly be measured...

Yeah, I've been idly wondering for some time where certain stats and ages that are absent in the Guide Book (the one with the silver cover) come from... Now I'm starting to get a grasp of what's going on with them. There's no second guide book, but there was a special HxH Manual section in compilation books called 'Jump Remix' related to Yu Yu Hakushou. There were at least 7 of such books that contained that section.

Meryem's stat is obviously meant to be a '6'. Note that Jairo has ? on his stats too but they do not extend off the chart, i.e. it's just unknown not off the chart.

Those charts are supposed to group people into a tier separated by 3, i.e. Netero at 30 is out of the league of anyone who is 27 or below, which is anyone besides Royal Guards, which is consistent with the fact that he's supposed to be the strongest human character on that chart. So of course you get weirdness with people like Komugi. There are a lot of stats on that chart that doesn't directly translate to fighting. For example people the mind/intelligence/ingenuity stuff is ineffective against someone with a lot of experience. For example, Zeno doesn't necessarily have to be super smart himself but he saw through Kuroro's tricks fine. Of course then you can get into the 'maybe you fool them despite the experience' but then it just gets into a circular argument.

Perhaps these stats tell more about who would be a better Hunter than who, rather than who is the strongest. In that sense, Komugi could be a great Hunter due to her intelect.

In the official ranking, Togashi, or whoever, placed these four (excluding the Chimera RG) to have a 5/5 in term of talent. I don't know if there has been a similar discussion on this but anw, honestly are these data reliable?
The four of them are Netero (no doubt) Gon (plausible) Palm (errr?) and Hisoka (it's convincing after reading his spin off). I am sure Ging will have a 5/5 too if he's on the data, however Chrollo is 4/5 and it's a bit weird because I consider him to be quite talented at nen usage after witnessing him utilizing plenty of nen abilities. Even Killua having a 3/5 for talent is odd. And Hisoka I will need to see that talent more apparent in the manga though, not just the spin off.
