Feats > your calculations. Quite frankly, I don't think there's a single instance in the manga of a dragon being ragdolled like what Mira just did. They were all separated and fighting at entirely different locations. She chucked him from God knows where, and with no signs of visual fatigue. One thing is for sure, all three collectively clap Suzaku. I see you tryna switch agendas and glaze Jellal who is even worse off.

It's the calculations that get me in these fandoms. lol on a related note the vs wiki is a curse. I remember speaking to someone years ago and their response to my manga panels was calculations using real life physics and calculating based on city, mountain level etc outlined in vs wiki. It was cringe.

Ah, that is so classic Mashima. He loves pulling off these completely illogical moments and explaining them right in the middle of a fight—like Laxus not using his Red Lightning until now. It's totally like Mashima to drop a bit of comic relief between Elfman and Richard, casually chatting about how they forgot to give the books to Mira.

I saw many times that either the good side characters or enemies are not using their full power or their abilities in a proper way because of many reasons.

as Levia really doesn't make sense; supposedly he chose not to be in his dragon form because he preferred to fight Laxus that way, but he transforms after taking just a bit of damage.

I think Mashima still doesn't know how to handle this situation with the dragons. Just look at Motherglare, after she transformed into her dragon form, she used her human form again. He probably doesn't know how to defeat them in a good way. Because of that most things are so random and bad.

Laxus, Erza, Mira etc got the same buff. Mira threw Scissor runner from a great distance and crashed him into Levia which which shocked him, Erza stabbed Motherglare in her forehead which had her bleeding and Laxus was shocking Levia and then matching his dragon strength with his punch. The contrived calculations and the 'but ackchyually's' are cope. Mashima isn't calculating like this and frankly no regular fan is.

Even worse is basing your argument on a May 2024 livestream where Mashima said God Serena was stronger than Natsu and Laxus. That didn't make any sense even back then; if he was actually stronger, he wouldn't have gotten humiliated in a single page. Right now we're dealing with actual dragons, something God Serena never managed to do—let's humble ourselves to our own insignificance.

Mirajane's "Alegia" form never had an established power ceiling, given that she could barely maintain it for more than a few minutes. And in every appearance prior to this chapter, she quickly defeated her opponents.

So, we cannot claim that Mirajane hasn't evolved or that many other characters could have pulled off the feats she demonstrated in this chapter.

Basically, Hiro placed Alegia at a power level that allows Mira to keep pace with Erza and Laxus without any issues.

And in terms of physical strength, I think she is surpassed only by Natsu within the Guild.

This whole situation reminded me of when Laxus, Mira, and Wendy were fighting Zirconis in the GMG arc. Her Sitri form barely had enough strength to hold the dragon's mouth shut, so seeing her doing that now is crazy!

Yea definitely see Mira close to Erza and Laxus in power now. Throwing a dragon is crazy. She definitely has the best feat against the calamity bloods so far.

Been an Elfman fan from day one. Was such an uphill battle. Seeing him get left behind so many times was tough.

I quit the manga multiple times because I couldn't stomach some of the trash being thrown around.

But now it seems Elfman is back in the upper echelon. Elfman has always had small instances and flashes of brilliance in comparison to his sister, where you could argue he was always just ahead of her. But now next chapter, it's going to be almost definitive. Not only that, he might even be a ahead of Laxus with this new power up.

Finally, justice for Elfman!

Elfman never had small instances of superiority to Mira. Even vs Oracian Sechs his new aldoron arm takeover allowed him to mimic what Mira did to Daemon with her existing Alegria. He had to power up to compete with a standard alegria punch.

VS Seilah Mira never got a hit on her since Seilah hit her twice first, while she commanded elfman to hit her nothing proved Elfman > Sitri in physical strength. In fact, it just proves that Mira would've been able to beat Seilah had she been able to hit her before Seilah deactivated Sitri since Elfman could knock her out.

And he's never getting ahead of Laxus. his dragon takeover next chapter is likely going to help Mira and Laxus not defeat the dragons while they stand there, based on how these fights go. Mashima even said he tries to keep the scaling the same so Elfman will forever be below his sister and the other S class.

True Elfman has had more incidents of power ups compared to Mira, but it feels as such because it implies Elfman has more room for improvements while Mira is already at such a peak, it's almost like a plateau. No offense but claiming he's above the S-ranks kinda feels far-fetched but seeing that you're an Elfman fan, maybe that excitement is understandable.

Anyway, the Laxus and Levia fight felt like it was getting nowhere. Levia's magic also having some connection to souls, I feel like it could have worked better Laxus was still having the complex with Elexion. Or if not also, match him with Mira/Elfman and involve their Takeover souls.

Mira has been spicing up lately and it's such a shame it's being shortlived by giving the spotlight to Elfman, whom, while I like is getting good screentime, has been receiving too good a treatment hehe.

PS.. Mira's face while suggesting the Full Dragon Takeover looks like the old scenes where Gray would ask, "which idiot thought that?" and make Mira cry haha

It's really hard to be happy with Mira's feats when Hiro only gives us mostly statements rather than an actual battle. Is it really that hard to give her a full battle???I don't care about Elfman so that also pisses me off that he had a chance to shine compared to Mira and Laxus this time. Against Oracion Sechs,he even had like 2 chapters compared to Mira vs Daemon.lol.

Also,lumping both dragons seems to be like a fanservice to Miraxus after the Re:Fantasia. While I'm glad they are cannon now,it kinda lessens the impact and excitements of Laxus and Mira's fights respectively.

I think Elfman will only help by kinda absorbing Levia's hax just like what Mira did to Seilah. Laxus and Mira will finish both dragons. I hope Sorano and Richard will do something though.

For me, I'm taking whatever feats, hype and author statements I can get for Mira because at the end of the day those are canon, not western fans' calculations about explosions. This chapter has only further supported what was already state/shown in the manga before/ what Mashima talked about powerscaling for the S class mages.

I think this is pretty much was it is because, forget Mira, no way Mashima is making Elfman steal Laxus' spolight. Given that Erza needed to use the dragonized earth energy to finish off her dragon I'd say Elfman uses his takeover power to weaken both dragons for Miraxus to beat them.

None of the S class, even with Wendy's power up, seem to be able to beat the CB's without something extra. In Erza's case the environment was convenient for her.

This is what will pretty much happen. Elf will neg their abilities and weaken them to a level that Laxus and Mira can defeat them. I get the skepticism bcs Mira always gets the short end of the stick but no way is Mashima also going to do Laxus dirty.
