Use this thread to discuss, ask, inquire on what plotline/people/figures you want to find out next from FT. Obviously it's stuff that won't be ever found out due to Hiro forgetting or in general unneeded in the story, unless Hiro adds it in a volume/databook but it's still fun to speculate. I'll list some of the stuff that has been uncovered and discovered up to date in the current story and try to update if/when we find out the answer:

IMO, the next plotline that should be revealed / explained to us should be Erza's Eyes and Mavis's plan. I'm assuming the poll asks what should be the next plotline, not what we want to see the most / excited for most. So Erza's Eyes should be explained to us really soon because we're in the climax of the Erza / Irene sub-plot and if Mashima switches over again, it'll just be random and delaying :/. I'm curious to know what Mavis's plan would be as well and I chose it as the next because imo it would fit in the current flow of the story more easily than the rest.

God Serena's other 4 elements, Wizard Saints #6-#10 and Mermaid Heel's GM - all these three, I bet won't be explained or shown to us at all lol. They're basically irrelevant and pointless at this point of the story.

Gray's trump card against END should be revealed (even though I doubt he has a trump card considering he didn't use it against partial END and it has not been mentioned for a lot of chapters or even hinted) when he is fighting END imo which won't be soon as I believe END will be unleashed when either Irene is defeated / August is defeated / Only Zeref remains / Acnologia appears which would take quite a bit of time. (Except the first one, because most likely Irene will be defeated by Erza's ultimate PoF powers again )

I'm thinking that Larcade's birth and the reason of the 12 will be elaborated to us when the cast reaches Zeref which will obviously be after August is defeated, which means that it might be told near to Gray's trump card and END's awakening.

Ankhseram's true being / figure (if there is) and One Magic should obviously be saved for the last, considering they're going to be huge reveals.

Mermaid Heel's Guild master - Let's be real, at this point i'm starting to doubt they even have a guild master. It's been how long since MH was introduced, there's a war going on and still no master in sight


Erza's Eyes - I think that will be answered in the next chapter or so. Honestly at this point anything would be believable considering she's a 400 year old fetus that grew in the womb of a dragon

But....

It is sadness for me that there.... Was.... No choice for Anna H backstory? How she knew Irene? Why she was friends with the dragons? Why she choose to Help Zeref? Why she made the scarf? An....Annalogia backflash? Zeref x Anna backflash (also known as @Emperor Spriggan x @Crescent_jinxgrace)

Anna really has no backstory to be note of. She's important to CS mages and DS but she's really connecting people to each other.

Erza's Eyes - I think that will be answered in the next chapter or so. Honestly at this point anything would be believable considering she's a 400 year old fetus that grew in the womb of a dragon

Somehow this may be right . I think it has to do with Irene trying to enchant herself in Erza maybe

I think the Wizard Saints #6-10 are irrelevant; i mean, even GoI got trashed on and didn't reappear yet. These other guys are even worse than Jura, not saying Jura is weak but i don't see why those guys would make an impact on the story at this point. I don't think we'll see them at all. Same goes for Mermaid Heel's GM, she's inexistant and irrelevant.
I couldn't care less about Anksheram since i believe he's not important atall; he's just a name thrown to give an explanation to Zeref's curse. I don't think we'll see him as a real entity that needs to be defeated.

Mavis plan is what i really want to know and i'm hoping we'll see more of that soon. Is Mavis going to keep being lame, or will she actually do something? That's what i wanna know.

I think we should (and I am being really hopeful here) have a mini arc dedicated to The Dragon King Festival/ Acnologia's backstory merged into it as I feel this is what should come next as this is the arc where Natsu discovered about the origin of Dragon Slayers and the origin of DS magic as well as Erza/Wendy. Following on from Irene Acnologia/ DKF should come next.
We have only had small panels or pages dropped around the place and not even a full chapter dedicated but I think it deserves a mini arc to itself so we have a break from the current MC's etc and start fresh back in time and see what really happened to be called a battle between Humans, Demons and Dragons (I am ruling out END as he was literally just a baby back then).

August might pluck up Serena's other 4 lacrima... but honestly I would have preferred to see Wall use Etherion than Serena use 4 other elements.

Yes. I keep expecting Neinhart to appear and interrupt the fight between Irene and Erza. At first glance he seems to be just a lackey, but finding out Irene is a 400 year old Dragon queen puts a different twist on things. But then again it's probably my wishful thinking, wanting him to be relevant, since i'm in a small minority that actually likes Neinhart.

Neinhart's magic can let him see into the past of people's hearts so that's how he knew of their connection. But yeah he does seem more than a lackey of Irene so maybe somewhere down the road when we learn more of the 12 in general

I'm not really a fan of the rest. They don't peak my curiosity, so I feel rather indifferent about them.

Except for the "Ankhseram revealing his true being/figure".

That one, I would actually prefer if it didn't happen at all. Ankhseram is one of those characters that should remain mysterious and unknown. I think he should be an external force that only governs the laws of magic in this series, but has no real relation or purpose with the plot.


Although, I was always interested in Gildartz's past. Like him growing up as a kid/teenager, joining Fairy Tail, and becoming S-Class. It would be pretty cool to see what kind of journey he took to become "Strongest of the West".

Plus, I want to know what "Master" Gildartz trained under, if he even had a master...

Seeing the Master who taught and trained Gildartz would be badass.

But if it was all done from self-training, I would still like to see the process of it fleshed out in a storyline...

Out of the poll I'd prefer to see Natsu's book and the reason behind the Spriggan 12. As far as Natsu's book goes I'd like to see it in the context of a Tartaros prequel where we see how Mard Geer actually found it, how it ended up where Mard found it and the actual function of the book (as the Demon Seed has me confused over the book's true purpose, though this is likely me just being forgetful). The reason behind the 12 is something I want because it might allow us to see more of the Spriggans and it will also answer the question of why there are specifically 12 Spriggans, something I've been curious about for a while. Does the Spriggan get a name change every so often based on number? Do they have back-up Spriggans at the ready? I was considering choosing Acnologia's backstory, but I'm terrified that he's going to be made some sort of tragic character, something we already have in Zeref.

I also want to see the origin of Obra. Ever since the GMG, I've been hooked on this little thing, s/he has really cool powers and is likely much more powerful than last shown. I feel like s/he's the first Etherious Zeref ever created given how in the GMG, Obra managed to flee and run all the way back to Zeref despite (seemingly) having no prior arrangement with him. There's also the potential of him/her being somewhat of a 13th Spriggan or at least being related to the S12 as s/he looked to be perched on Proxy Wahl in the silhouette line-up. As of now, my head-canon is that s/he's actually a pet Etherious of Zeref's but is looked after by Bradman due to his DeS being perfect at putting Obra in his/hers place. With all of this being said, I'm not even sure if Obra will show up again as the plot doesn't seem to be going anywhere in that direction.

God Serena probably lost family members to Acnologia.Probably his family members lived in the country which Acnologia destroyed.

True on Mard finding the book. The first image that popped in my head when Zeref said he found it randomly was Mard was on Tenrou island but that wouldn't make sense. I did like finding out Tartaros was created by him. They're basically the demon version of Avatar: Zeref groupies/followers like shit. On the 12 yeah it would be nice to see if it's something they have to be chosen. I think Irene basically shown you can be chosen since she met Zeref when he changes her physique. Brandish was there in Alvarez when she was little and she said she knew August since she was small which means Brandish could of been either inducted or brought to be a 12.
