Uhm, Laxus > FDKM Natsu.
Mirajane stronger than gajeel and gray ? I don't think soMore like:
1) Natsu FDK mode
2) Glidartz?
3) Laxus
4) Makarov (titan)
5) Erza
6) Mirajane
7) Base Natsu
8) DeS Gray
9) DF Wendy
10) Gajeel
11) Base Gray
12) others...
Where 4 and 5 are probably interchangeable.
Most definetely not.Uhm, Laxus > FDKM Natsu.
Well it shouldn't be that way. Mirajane is Erza's equal, and this is still implied to be this way. She hasn't still showed her training improvements, but I assume she's equal to DeS Gray and above Gajeel.Mirajane stronger than gajeel and gray ? I don't think so
Des gray>gajeel>mirajane
I'm basically waiting for Natsu to do something more impressive then Laxus to prove your point, because so far in this war, Laxus has been the most impressive. Most definetely not.

Uhm, Laxus > FDKM Natsu.
^This. Based on what he has shown, FDK Natsu might have superior DC to Laxus, but Natsu still lacks speed feats, durability feats, reaction feats, CQC feats, and endurance feats that are better than Laxus's. This might change when Natsu shows DF, but as of right now, Laxus>Natsu based on feats.I'm basically waiting for Natsu to do something more impressive then Laxus to prove your point, because so far in this war, Laxus has been the most impressive.
Discounting IgNatsu.
When we refer to DFKM Natsu, are we not referring to IgNatsu? I meant the Natsu who fought Zeref.I'm basically waiting for Natsu to do something more impressive then Laxus to prove your point, because so far in this war, Laxus has been the most impressive.

Pretty agreeable list. However, I would change MIra's and Gajeel's positions.more like:
1) Laxus/Natsu FDK mode
2) Base Natsu/Erza/Gray/Gajeel
3) Makarov (titan)/Mirajane(maybe)
4) DF Wendy
5) others...
Makarov imo is outdated in terms of power, I view him as stronger than Bluenote, but still around the same level, and we all know what base Natsu did to him
As for Gildartz, I won't rank him until we see what he can do post-timeskip
Wait are you talking about the mode he used against Zeref and fought on par with Zeref? We all thought you were talking about the time when he had fought against Jacob with his own power. If you are talking about Igneel powered Natsu and the version he used against Zeref then he one shots Laxus. When we refer to DFKM Natsu, are we not referring to IgNatsu? I meant the Natsu who fought Zeref.
Pretty agreeable list. However, I would change MIra's and Gajeel's positions.
Natsu FDK mode, proved to be solid mountain level as aforementioned, which means he could rival Laxus in offense. He also showed a considerably fast speed feat when fitghting Zeref, which made me think: wow, so Natsu has become THIS fast (IMO faster than Erza, which is quite the feat, likely not reaching Laxus' speed or speed reaction though).
When I saw Natsu fight Zeref I thought he had really become extremely powerful, even surpassing Laxus. I might be wrong if so many of you say so :S
For pure offensive power I would go with FDKM Natsu here. I think Laxus' best DS spells will rival this mode, but I think Natsu has the advantage with feats tbh. Just being in the mode is enough to cause pain for a Spriggan. The nuke is a bit of an anomaly, though I place it somewhere between Natsu's base roar and Natsu's FDK spells.Uhm, Laxus > FDKM Natsu.
No. We refer to that as IgNatsu now because apparently it's a mode which can be used more than once. When we refer to DFKM Natsu, are we not referring to IgNatsu? I meant the Natsu who fought Zeref.

I'd say Laxus >= Natsu overall. I'm not seperating FDK from Natsu here, he can use it at any time. I presume he uses it like he used to with LFD. It's not a spam mode, just when the time is right he'll trigger it. Laxus does have better physical feats, and his attack power with red lightning does rival FDK spells, though I'd say an FDK roar is the better attack purely on AoE (it'd still have similar damage output as RL, just can hit more targets).
I'd really like to see what Laxus' roar is like now... for damage not AoE. His LD Jaw is at least enough to defeat Hades (w/o Heart), given Laxus wasn't really tip top then.
Natsu has too has monstrous durabilty. It is true that Laxus has feats to show his durablity while Natsu still doesn't.And in his intelligence in battle is same as Laxus.No. We refer to that as IgNatsu now because apparently it's a mode which can be used more than once.

DC: Natsu >>> Laxus
Attack Potency: Laxus > Natsu
Speed: Laxus >> Natsu
Durability: Laxus >> Natsu
Endurance: Laxus >>> Natsu
Versatility: Laxus > Natsu
Intelligence: Laxus >>> Natsu
Ranged: Laxus > Natsu
CQC: Laxus > Natsu
That's why I would put my money on Laxus in a fight, he has just about every stat going for him.
Now that I know we're talking about two different Natsus, FDKM Mode (against Jacob) and Igneel Natsu (against Zeref), I'd say...No. We refer to that as IgNatsu now because apparently it's a mode which can be used more than once.

I agree with that. In a fight though, Natsu's FDKM offence will be on a different level than Assaul Wahl's imo (w/o Etherion).^This. I think Laxus' DC is gonna be around the same as Natsu's. Things like the nuke left a crater. I'm pretty sure he'd be able to level some stuff with a roar.Regarding Natsu, the only thing that he has that surpasses Laxus is destructive capacity, everything else is inferior.

Not quite, because Acno would still have Serena beat in every single way, and not by a little either. Doesn't help that Serena himself is all about raw power, not exactly a good match-up when faced with someone who's also all about raw power but leagues better then you at it. Maybe if Serena had hax he'd be able to get some good hits in, but he doesn't stand a chance in a clash of raw power. With speed equalized, the massive gap would be closed a little. Serena would still be killed but Acnologia would suffer some damage, I'm pretty sure. God Serena is the most powerful DS so far, after Acno himself and most likely Igneel-powered Natsu.
.I think you're right, but even if they're not massively stronger than Jura, they're still at least as strong as Jura. And I think that Jura, Makarov or Jellal should be on the same league. And Jellal one-shotted a Spriggan..
Its not just Serena either though. We have Jacob about to intervene because he believes that Serena is in trouble and Jacob has just seen base Serena fight so he is the best possible source to judge whether Serena could have won. More importantly, August stops Jacob and tells him that Serena is going to use dragon slaying magic, which means that even August thought that Serena was pushed back into a corner and had to use his dragon slaying magic. Maybe if Serena was alone on this you might have had a point, but the fact that we have 2 spectators implying Serena needs DS magic to continue says a lot.But that's just too much speculation. Facts show the four of them were helpless against Base Serena, let alone Full Power Serena. Yes, they weren't "even trying", or so Serena says, but he was being overzealous. I think Base Serena is on par with the four of them, while Full Power Serena is massively stronger.
I'll just reiterate what I told Char. The general gist of Serena's statement was that of bemusement though. In the crunchyroll translations, he says "Well, you're not totally pathetic after all". I didn't get the sense Serena was struggling until Hyperion got him with his vampire magic. I got the sense that Serena didn't take the WS seriously, and Hyperion got the drop on him. Serena probably wouldn't even have been in that position if he simply just kept spamming attacks instead of taking the time to rub it in. Even if Serena did underestimate the Saints, there's no guarantee that he ever would have needed to resort to dragon slaying magic if he simply took things more seriously.
Keep in mind that equalized speed doesn't mean no CQC. If they are as fast as each other then Acno is still going to be forcing a CQC, and since physical stats aren't getting equalized either I don't see what's going to stop Acno from tearing Serena up limb-by-limb.I can agree with Point #3. But if speed was equalized, God Serena wouldn't have been blitzed that easily. In actuality, anybody with the speed of Acnologia should be quite deadly. I'd say God Serena can last a couple minutes before being killed. If that counts...
They took the same DS attacks, Jura was seen standing up until the very last attack so either the other Saints were standing as well or they were already on the ground, in which case Juras endurance and/or durability are/is greater then theirs. If you want the best case scenario here I'd say its them having similar endurance and durability to Jura, at the worst case scenario they are all glass canons and went down 3 DS attacks before Jura did. Of course that's just defence, as far as offence goes I still have Wolfheim and Hyberion above Jura. Warrod not so much since he is a support type by his own admission. Though in Wolfheims case I wouldn't say his offence is far greater then Juras (I believe Jura improved a little and closed the gap). Hyberion actually did some noticeable damage to Serena so I'd peg his offence a tier above Juras.I sort of disagree with Point #4. I don't see the 3 Gods of Ishgar being on Jura's level in durability or endurance, especially Hyberion. It depends on whether you think the Gods of Ishgar and Jura took the same amount of damage from God Serena's attacks or not. I don't happen to think so purely based on the portrayal of the fight. We could see Jura but not the other Gods of Ishgar. Also, based on their ranks, I still think they are superior. As for the 3 Gods of Ishgar + Jura being sub-par by current standards, I don't quite agree with. They should be above average compared to most mages we've seen so far. I would put Jura close to Erza's level and Hyberion around Third Origin Chelia's level.
Again as I said, the feats are there for Laxus to show his endurance, he was dying because of his illness and was taking hits from Wahl left and right, yet he could still keep going. So I would put Laxus ahead of him for sure on that one.I agree with that. In a fight though, Natsu's FDKM offence will be on a different level than Assaul Wahl's imo (w/o Etherion).
Still Laxus did have to endure that assault while concurrently experiencing organ failure, and still could put off a Justu Shiki, so I think that's a solid enough endurance feat to suggest he can endure some FDK spells.
I think Laxus' DC is gonna be around the same as Natsu's. Things like the nuke left a crater. I'm pretty sure he'd be able to level some stuff with a roar.
Speed and Durability are the main things Laxus would have an edge in, and it would be a tier in difference I imagine. I can actually see Natsu being very close in durability, but Laxus has the better feats. Speed probably will favour Laxus' LB.
Endurance, imo, is something Natsu will show to be equivalent to Laxus, or maybe better, but on feats Laxus has them.
Versatility, intelligence and ranged are comparable if you ask me.
Laxus does have more stats his way, but the main ones will be physical stats and offence in a fight between these guys. I don't really disagree with what you guys are saying because Laxus does have better feats, but things like endurance I'm more than willing to say Natsu is equal to Laxus.
Igneel's magic power can only be used once, but the mode and FDK spells can be accessed any time.
The feats IgNatsu generated (like bltizing Zeref at some godly speed) was actually a feat of Igneel's MP, and not FDKM. So a distinction being made is a reasonable thing to do.
Natsu hasn't come up with a plan as intricate and well executed as the one that Laxus came up with against Wahl, very few have. I also can't remember anyone doing something on the scale and intricacy level as the fighting festival.Natsu has too has monstrous durabilty. It is true that Laxus has feats to show his durablity while Natsu still doesn't.And in his intelligence in battle is same as Laxus.
I don't think we've seen enough from Acno to state such a thing. Acno in his human form only has one feat: Blitzing three spriggans and OHKOing God Serena with his "claw". Indeed, I don't think anyone in the manga has shown such brute strength as to perforate through flesh and bone and literally rip off a part of someone's body. It shows massive raw strength.
I think the outcome of GS against 4 Wizard Saints would be exactly the same if you replaced Jura with Jellal. I'm not too sure how Jura would perform against Neinhart, but I'd like to think he could actually beat him using his strongest spell, in much the way Jellal did.I'd agree that Jura and Makarov are at the same level of strength, but Jellal has clearly shown that he's far surpassed that level. Jura hasn't shown anything that proves that he could one-shot a Spriggan, Jellal literally has, and it was using a casual spell at that. He's also shown a landscape changing move, Jura has nothing of the sort, not even remotely close.
(...) which means that even August thought that Serena was pushed back into a corner and had to use his dragon slaying magic. Maybe if Serena was alone on this you might have had a point, but the fact that we have 2 spectators implying Serena needs DS magic to continue says a lot.
I don't agree. First of all, Serena offpaneled them all and he didn't even have a scratch. I don't think they even got to touch him. When they fought "seriously", they got to "touch him", but he had no scratch either. He was literally toying with them. It was not until Hyberion intervened that he showed sign of concern: one drop of sweat. That is as much as they can push him, to one drop of sweat.(...) which means that even August thought that Serena was pushed back into a corner and had to use his dragon slaying magic. Maybe if Serena was alone on this you might have had a point, but the fact that we have 2 spectators implying Serena needs DS magic to continue says a lot.
It's not going to prevent Serena from getting ripped off, but it's going to help him dodge a few attacks and possibly land some others before he eventually dies.Keep in mind that equalized speed doesn't mean no CQC. If they are as fast as each other then Acno is still going to be forcing a CQC, and since physical stats aren't getting equalized either I don't see what's going to stop Acno from tearing Serena up limb-by-limb.
I think the fact that some were "trying to stand" and some were on the ground proves pretty much nothing. It is rather clear that Hyberion is above the three other Wizard Saints, whereas Warrod and Wolfheim are implied to be superior to Jura's. In my opinion, it would go like this: Serious God Serena >>> Base God Serena >>> Hyberion >> Wolfheim > Warrod > Jura. But who knows, right? Not enough feats. I'm willing to see them fight again. They took the same DS attacks, Jura was seen standing up until the very last attack so either the other Saints were standing as well or they were already on the ground, in which case Juras endurance and/or durability are/is greater then theirs. In regards to where you place them, that's all you mate. I personally haven't seen anything from Jura that would convince me that he's anywhere near current Erzas level.
Definitely agree that Laxus has better endurance feats. But I think with how Natsu's been this series he'll always be among the best of his peers in terms of endurance. So that's why I think he'll be around Laxus level in this regard, just like you said he doesn't have the feats.Again as I said, the feats are there for Laxus to show his endurance, he was dying because of his illness and was taking hits from Wahl left and right, yet he could still keep going. So I would put Laxus ahead of him for sure on that one.
Those plans I do agree outrank Natsu. But I'm mainly talking about fighting acumen, and in that regard Natsu is about the same as Laxus. Both use their abilities at a very high level - which is about all I expect from an 'intelligent' wizard in this manga (this is subjective I admit, I can tell we're both rating intelligence in different ways, which is fine). They just don't look like they're fighting smart because they're dragon slayers, fighting like a dragon slayer should...I would most certainly give Laxus the intelligence edge because of:
1. The fighting festival
2. The plan against Wahl
Natsu has shown nothing in the manga that puts him on par with Laxus in intelligence, I have seen many people dedicate all of Laxus' intelligence feats to Freed for some reason despite the fact that there has been nothing mentioning these as being Freed's plans. Not to mention both these plans were intricate and very well put together.
The nuke and Fairy Law are the main one's where I would consider Laxus > Natsu for range (the nuke can be shot down from a long distance, and it expands to some massive size; FL is Magnolia level in AoE). For roars/DS moves, Natsu has the feats so far. His base roar and FDK roar have the best range. I'd be willing to concede Laxus should have similar range with DS moves, and by extension Laxus would have the slight edge in range.I would give Laxus the ranged because so far, I've seen him use 2 ranged abilities. the first is his roar and the second is heavenward halberd, he also has free reign over the skies, we've seen him casually drop lightning bolts here and there and that plays a major factor in this.
Natsu ranged include his roar, Crimson Lotus: Exploding Flame Blade and Brilliant flame , I can't really think of any more, he has the edge in the number of ranged spells, winning by one, but the fact that Laxus can drop drop lightning bolts from the sky gives him the ranged advantage for me.
Laxus takes versatility because Freed's magic isn't the only different magic he can do, he can also cast fairy law, use thought projections and cast organic link magic, so he most certainly takes the versatility.
I mostly agree with Char here. Instead of re-posting the things he said and making you re-read them, I'm just going to talk about his post so that you can see where we differ. Well, I think we all can agree that God Serena would still lose despite speed being equalized but it just depends on whether you think he'd die in the same amount of time he was blitzed or longer. No doubt that Acnologia would blitz him to death eventually though.I don't think we've seen enough from Acno to state such a thing. Acno in his human form only has one feat: Blitzing three spriggans and OHKOing God Serena with his "claw". Indeed, I don't think anyone in the manga has shown such brute strength as to perforate through flesh and bone and literally rip off a part of someone's body. It shows massive raw strength.
Agreed. Outcome is the same but God Serena can avoid being blitzed like he was. I'd say he'd last 1-2 more minutes than he previously did (which was like a second). He probably can give Acnologia a scratch too (Human Form). We have to note that God Serena has 4 more elements and wasn't using everything he had in his fight against the 3 Gods of Ishgar + Jura. But we don't have anything else to hang on to other than that. I'd like to give Serena the benefit of the doubt. I think that, were their speeds equalized, there would actually be a fight, an interchange of attacks. I think the outcome would be the same, GS would be killed, but some of his attacks would have hit in. Let's remember God Serena can probably eat Acno's element too. And probably he's got one counter against his element (as he had water, which would be rather effective against Natsu).
I can sort of disagree here. I get what you're saying though. First of all, I agree Jura would beat Neinhart. Definitely wouldn't be a one-shot and maybe with some trouble. Secondly, in regards to Jellal not being able to one-shot a Spriggan, I think it is possible provided that he uses his strongest attack and it would be against someone like Jacob. In my opinion, he can only one-shot Low-Tier Spriggans which are Neinhart and Jacob. I would agree that he can't one-shot God Serena, Wahl, or Dimaria. Lastly, I believe Jellal is very much superior to Jura. They shouldn't be on the same league because I put Jellal, who is Laxus' level, above Erza (I noticed that you put Jura slightly above Erza at the end of your post). I happen to think they are comparable and if I was forced to make a choice, then he would be slightly below Erza just based on feats. Judging from your post, we might disagree on the difference/gap between Jellal and Erza's power level though.I think the outcome of GS against 4 Wizard Saints would be exactly the same if you replaced Jura with Jellal. I'm not too sure how Jura would perform against Neinhart, but I'd like to think he could actually beat him using his strongest spell, in much the way Jellal did.
First of all, claiming Jellal can one-shot a Spriggan is a little bit far-fetched. Not only was he bloodlusted (if that counts at all), but Neinhart clearly shows no Spriggan endurance at all. He seems the weakest of all of them. I'd like to see how that spell would've affected Wahl, God Serena, Jacob or Dimaria. It probably wouldn't have been a OHKO at all.
A "landscape changing move" is not that impressive as far as that was an illusion. After all, the only thing he did was turn the day into night. How that could possibly beat any strong opponent (or Jura), I don't really know. I'd like to give the benefit of the doubt to Jura and think they're on the same league, even if I believe Jellal to be slightly superior.
Agreed. God Serena outclassed the 3 Gods of Ishgar + Jura here and by a significant amount. I actually like to think that the Top 4 Wizard Saints' powers are somewhat exponential, if you will (of course not extremely exponential). For instance, Warrod would be slightly above Jura. Meanwhile Wolfheim would be even greater than that of Warrod. But Hyberion would be a few times ahead of Wolfheim. Finally, God Serena is close to a tier above Hyberion (not exactly a tier yet).I don't agree. That is as much as they can push him, to one drop of sweat.
I think it would be an overstatement to say that the 4 of them equal to Base God Serena, but I'd be willing to accept it. Saying they're superior, I think would be too much.
I didn't think it was an implication that GS "had to" use God Slaying magic to beat them; I think he was done toying and he wanted to finish the job quickly.
I agree here. It's not going to prevent Serena from getting ripped off, but it's going to help him dodge a few attacks and possibly land some others before he eventually dies.
I agree. Actually, the fact that Jura was seen getting hit but not enveloped in God Serena's attacks makes me believe that he didn't get hit by the majority of God Serena's attack. We can see Jura getting hit on parts of his body here and there.I think the fact that some were "trying to stand" and some were on the ground proves pretty much nothing.
Well, I think he did improve since the GMG. I mean GMG Laxus defeated him and we can see how much trouble Current Laxus has with a Mid-Tier Spriggan (I acknowledge that he was at the disadvantage due to his illness but let's be honest. He was lucky that Wahl was not that smart and he had PoF to back him up). Anyways, in my eyes, Jura improved but not as much as Erza, who wasn't portrayed to have improved that much compared to others either. Jura might have slacked off a little more than Erza but not by much.In my opinion, Jura did not improve at all from the GMG. Had he improved, he'd be on par with Laxus, and we all know that is not the case. And as for Warrod, he is support type, but he's got the offensive as well. He can create trees out of nowhere at a reasonable speed. You are getting hit by something hard, tough and at a considerable speed. And if he makes sharp ends, he can pretty much pierce a body.
I can agree with Hyberion. I would put Wolfheim slightly below overpowered Sitri Mirajane (Maybe Satan Soul: Halphas, although I don't think that is canon in the manga) but that is because I like to think that Wolfheim is many times weaker than Hyberion. Agree with Warrod. As for Jura, once again, I believe he is on par or slightly below Erza but the difference is almost negligible.I have Hyberion to be similar to Laxus; Wolfheim to be similar to an overpowered Sitri Mirajane; Warrod to be Makarov level at least and Jura to be slightly above Erza.
