I don't think God Serena was stronger than the rest of the Spriggan. We heard they are all around the same strength, with the exception of August and Irene. And Jacob wasn't impressed at all when God Serena took the Wizard Saints, despite how he was easily defeated later. If anything the rest of the Gods of Ishgar are weak.
What is said is different from what is shown. I know many people use the argument that besides August and Eileen, all the Spriggans are the same. Not really. They may be the same in MP but their performance is what makes them different in other stats. Take God Serena and Neinhart as an example. Who would win in a fight? If someone says neither or that Neinhart would win, I would like to know your explanation.

You can't compare with Neinhart because his magic is not for direct combat. But like I aready said, Jacob wasn't impressed that the Gods of Ishgar were defeated so easily.

Jacob clapped his hands and took out all 118 guild members within seconds.

Nienheart gave Gray/Lyon/Wendy/Erza/Kagura/Jellal/Etc a hard fight. He himself was able to conjure up people like Hades, Ur and Ezel.

Serena took out Warrod, Jura, Hyberion and Wolfhiem.

Both Jacob and Nienheart could do the same. Jacob could easily take out the four GOI with a clap of his hands, Nienheart could just conjure up a memory of Serena and have him thrash the 4 GOI.

All are at the same level point blank.

Neinhart has his energy blasts, so your point is invalid. He can still engage in direct combat if he needs to. As for Jacob, not being impressed doesn't mean anything. For all we know, he might've been stomped by the 3 Gods of Ishgar + Jura if it was a 1v4. Similarly, he thought he could take on Acnologia, but that doesn't mean he could.

Like I mentioned before, his hax magic is of no use to people of his caliber. You do realize that approximately 112 of those members he "transported" we're fodders, right? And he didn't even manage to kill any of them. You can call it plot, but I still stick to my belief. Until we see it happen, he doesn't have the capability to do as he says.

Neinhart didn't give anyone a hard fight. Erza stomped her 3 opponents while being injured and not even engaging in combat. The rest were able to beat their respective opponents. Even Lyon and Kagura, the ones being the most psychologically impacted, were able to win without much damage taken in the end. Conjuring up pre-timeskip characters says nothing about your performance except having a decent amount of MP.

God Serena has notable feats when he stomped the 3 Gods of Ishgar + Jura.

You're going to have to give me more evidence to prove that Neinhart and Jacob could have easily done the same. You can refuse that God Serena is better than the other Spriggans if you so wish, but I disagree.

Jacob could have killed them in his dimension and that's is pretty confidence on my part.Because if he can't kill any one in the dimension then why did he take pain to remove Brandish and marin from there before killing others. He even said if sonething happens to Brandidh Dimaria will kill him.

I think Nienhart could be viewd as one of the strongest or weakest memebers of the Spriggan,
He something like summoner type( I know he doesn't summon them),he uses creatures/people to fight instead of him.His magic is depeneds on who the foe foguth and killed in the past,so if the foe didn't kill anyone or fought only weaklings it magic would be less effecitive.

How does he kill them in his dimension? Could it be that he absorbs all their magic power? Or maybe he personally goes in there and kills them? That is my point. It's literally all speculation. He says something will happen but that doesn't mean it will. Mard Geer said his Momento Mori can kill Zeref. But after the timeskip, Natsu who trained for 1 year and got Igneel's power was barely able to match him. There is a flaw when we just take words for granted without any feats to back it up. If Hiro Mashima really wanted to show us that Jacob could easily kill people in his "dimension", he would've killed off one of the Fairy Tail fodders (unnamed ones). But that didn't happen.

If Jacob comes back and shows us what he can do, I'll concede. Until then, I call it a bluff and all his "transport" does is send them to another dimension. Similar to Marin.

Then why did he remove Brandish and Marin from that dimension and was afraid that Dimaria will be angry if Brandish dies.So he was afraid Brandish will die if she stays in that dimension.Lucy also tricked Jacob into releasing them.If Jacob could not have killed him thenHiro would not have introduced this situation.

Because if Brandish went missing or was trapped in his dimension (mixed up with the others), Dimaria would still have killed him.

All he did was save himself the trouble and free Brandish + Marin so that Dimaria wouldn't find out.

Again, I'm not saying his "transport" is useless as it serves the purpose of teleporting his opponents. I don't disagree with this because his spatial magic was confirmed.

But to say that Jacob can instantly kill anybody he likes by just teleporting them into his dimension is a very baseless claim (as of right now). I mean besides Jacob's words, we have no other evidence of him being able to do so. It was even absurd to the point that Natsu was skeptical of it.

For 2 whole chapters, Jacob could have killed at least one person but didn't. Honestly, the only reason why I believe Hiro Mashima introduced Jacob's capability of being able to kill off characters in his dimension was to...
  1. Hype Jacob
  2. Trick Mavis into revealing the location of Fairy Heart (out of desperation)
Notice how Jacob only reveals to Mavis that he can kill everyone after she refused to tell him the location of Fairy Heart. It was all a bluff.

With that, I'll let you have the last word. Given the circumstances, you might be right and I may well be wrong, but I see no point in assuming he has the ability to do something that was not shown.

I strongly disagree. Jacob might make them disappear as he did the 118 guild members in the event the GoI are unaware of what's going to happen when he claps his hands, if they are, the GoI are not going to let him do so easily.

Neinhart cannot summon Serena.

All 10 Spriggans have equal MP but vastly different abilities. The most haxy ones are immensely superior to the less haxy ones.

He is definetely the weakest. You can summon as many fodders as you want. Because, unfortunately, anyone from previous sagas is pretty much fodder for our current overpowered characters.

Besides you can always avoid the summons and go defeat the real body who, as we know, has rather low durability.

But see the context in which Jacob saying this.See the page before the first image you posted.Jacob said that he will kill every one and then Lucy said Brandish is there and so that's why Jacob got scared as she will make Brandish get mixed up in all this(killing)and so released Brandish that's what i feel.

Why wouldn't Nienheart be able to summon Serena? Also how are the GOI going to stop Jacob when they can't see, hear, smell or sense him due to his cloaking ability? Also what is stopping Jacob from walking up to them a chopping off their heads? Nothing.

Because Neinhart is limited to summoning beings who are below his MP level, most likely. And even if it's not true, we must apply the NLF in cases like that. Neinhart cannot summon someone vastly superior to him!!

Good point using Stealth+Spatial magic, the GoI can definetely not do anything against it...

When was that ever stated? it never was. Also Nienheart was able to summon Hades and Ur so I doubt he would have any problem summoning Serena. The problem is you are over hyping Serena. Like honestly Warrod battle feats suck, same with Wolfhiem and Hyperbion. Jura was cool but even Laxus during the GMG was able to beat Jura and Zero was able to beat Jura during the OS arc. What I am saying is that Jura was strong but not immensely strong and would without a doubt rate current Gray over Jura and Neineheart gave Gray and Lyon a high difficulty fight.

There is too many unknown variables to create a power ranking list accurately.

Again, let's use some logic and NLF to account for haxes. If Neinhart can summon GS then he also can summon all the dragons from the GMG, and he can probably also summon Igneel, right? By that same token Dimaria can freeze time and kill Acnologia, August and Irene. And Jacob can transport Acnologia, August and Irene to his dimension and have them killed. And so on and so forth. No.

Hades and Ur were vastly inferior to God Serena. Hades is at best Warrod level and Ur is at best Makarov level.

I'm not overhyping Serena I'm being realistic. Neinhart didn't show any summoning that was above anything that the current main cast and powerhouses couldn't take care of.

Hades, Kyoka, Azuma, Ikaruga, Ur, Zancrow, Keyes and Ezel. These are REAL Neinhart's feats. Notice all of these characters are GoI tier or below, so God Serena can easily fodderize all of them. He can also dodge them all and go to Neinhart's main body. I mean, he defeated the GoI + Jura so easily, what makes you think he cannot defeat Hades (GoI tier), Kyoka, Ur (WS tier) and Azuma, Ikaruga, Zancrow, Keyes and Ezel (below WS tier) I think it'd only take one attack from him to do so.

Also, the GoI are widely accepted to be current Erza level. Ajeel would've beaten Erza with mid difficulty hadn't it been for Bisca+Jupiter. 3 Erzas + 1 Jura would've beaten Ajeel. But 3 Erzas + 1 Jura didn't even push God Serena to go all out. This is why God Serena is superior to Ajeel. And to Neinhart too.

We're not trying to create a power ranking accurate list. It'd be impossible to do so with little feats from some characters. We're always going to have dichotomies like "are the GoI weak because they lost to God Serena?" or "Is God Serena stronger than the average Spriggan because he beat the GoI?". A question like that will remain unanswered unless God Serena is not dead and fights again, we see a flashback of him fighting or the GoI fight again, or something like that.

Also, we need a databook that explains the limitations of the hax of Spriggans. That way we could end debates such as the "Neinhart can summon anyone who's dead", "Neinhart can only summon beings with lower MP than his" or "Neinhart can summon up to 10 characters at the same time" or "The sum of Neinhart's summonings' MP must be lower or equal to his MP" and so on.

Is this the longest post in this forum? LOL!!!!
Haha, nearly didn't reply because of the sheer volume! Going closest to longest post :)

We agree then. Based on hype, August/Irene > Dimaria. Based on 'feats' and in the event we don't account for the NLF, Dimaria would be above though, in terms of hax.
Yes, which is why I think using hax counters as a way to rank is probably not as reflective of the whole manga as just ranking characters on their own abilities.

I do believe the Spriggans have the MP and the good guys have the skills. Although Spriggans like Dimaria have the MP+Skills. So, a Dimaria matchup with Laxus is a bad matchup... Actually, pretty much anyone against Dimaria is a bad matchup.

Some people claim Age Seal won't work on people with similar or higher MP than Dimaria, but Dimaria should arguably have more MP than Laxus, so Laxus would get age sealed...

OR maybe age limit won't work on beings FROM Laxus' level on (we know it worked on Kagura but she kind of hinted that something was going on, and Laxus >> Kagura.
That's right, Laxus shouldn't beat DiMaria based on what we know. But, within the Spriggans, there really isn't a heirarchy other than Irene/August. Given that there will be some kind of difference between 3-12, is it enough for Laxus to be assume below DiMaria? Ie is Laxus performance v Wahl not good enough to be ranked similar to DiMaria?

I think Kagura did notice something, but it wasn't enough for he to actually know what happened. Tbh I think it's possible that you can notice/counter Age Seal through MP strength, but as it's not defined I give Age Seal the benefit of the doubt of time-stopping Laxus completely.

I get your point, although whereas I believe age seal to be activated in nanoseconds, I think transportation requires of 1-2 seconds to activate it + 2 seconds to fully render it (seen when, after joining his hands, the members of FT still didn't disappear until a couple of panels later, but they were in the verge of disappearing).
This is really splitting hairs. Grand Chariot took longer than Natsu's FDK move to use, yet Jellal is likely a Natsu-tier on feats. 1-2 seconds is still quick. Who would stop it if they didn't know, other than DiMaria?

Think of this: Dimaria only needs to think of stopping time so that it happens. She's used to it. It's her magic and she only has to think of this one thing, so it's been authomatized. It will be activated within nano or miliseconds.

As for Brandish, thinking of how she's going to apply her magic, as in, that part she's going to shrink, to what size, etc.; these thoughts should take slightly more miliseconds or even seconds than Dimaria's magic. But hey, that's all speculation.
Brandish shrunk Marin close to instant. Thought processes I assume are the same.

While Wahl is all cqc, and he has arguably good durability (he can withstand Laxus' magicless blows, we don't know how good he'd do against an opponent whose magic Wahl was not immune. For example, if Laxus used fire instead of lightning, or any other element for that matter, he'd have won very easily, without having to resort to a new kind of lightning/magic.

However, Laxus (and most characters on the good side by that token) wouldn't even be capable of getting close to Bradman without dying. Laxus may have MBP resistance but he's an exception. Natsu, Erza, Jellal... Anyone capable of standing against a spriggan couldn't arguably get close enough to Bradman.

So, I can see Natsu, Erza, Jellal fighting Wahl. Heck, I can EVEN see them winning... in some scenarios and under some conditions. But against Bradman, hell no!
I wouldn't assume Wahl would've been beaten easily, but easier yes. It really depends if you want to downplay Wahl or hype Laxus though. Earlier in the arc he dropped a nuke that August thought might wreck Ajeel, so I've been giving Laxus the benefit of the doubt thanks to that (ie assume Laxus is above 'regular' spriggan level, by a fair margin). That assumption does fit with Laxus winning how he did, and Wahl not being a weak Spriggan.

Yeah, NLF... Let's assume that, since they've been stated to be stronger than the other Spriggans, they can individually solo all of them, because they can counter their magic.
This is what I'm getting at with the hax countering. Lets pick 4 characters - August, Laxus, Wahl and Bradman.

Under the assumption that you need to counter a hax to be in the same tier, Wahl can counter Bradman for sure. August and Laxus can't. So Wahl > Bradman > Laxus.

Under the assumption that hype is correct and fight outcomes represent power ranking in some way, August > Laxus > Wahl.

If you combine the 2 lines of thinking, then it's obvious there's something wrong with one of them, as they conflict. I'd be more inclined to believe the first one is wrong.

I get you, but Bradman has a wide variety of magic to defeat Wahl, whereas Wahl's only got cqc and beams that aren't going to even scratch Bradman (I think).
I never really get the variety argument when it comes to beating someone strong. It's a toolshed analogy. Let's say you want to knock down a wall. What matters most? That you have tools for demolition, or that you have more tools? Obviously having more tools gives you greater odds at having the right tool. But if you can prove someone has the right tools then it doesn't matter how many tools they have.

My example is Laxus and Jellal. Laxus knows less spells, but can arguably use spells that rival Jellal's best. Jellal knowing bind snake or telekenesis wouldn't matter worth a damn in a fight like that. If someone says having more spells gives Jellal a better shot I'd ask why. What matters for Jellal is that he has powerful spells, not more spells.

For Wahl and Bradman, Wahl can oneshot Bradman with canceler. To say Wahl can't scratch Bradman is not a way to test Wahl's offence because it's a hax. It's like asking to test Natsu's offensive under Age Seal - he can't move so there isn't anything to gain. If both Wahl and Bradman were asked to destroy the GoI, I think Wahl would slightly win that, in my opinion.

That is one of the reasons why I consider Wahl an overrated, and not so strong Spriggan.
Does he? Bradman didn't actually display all he's capable of. As a matter of fact, he's got some strength/power-based curses that might overpower most of Wahl's attacks... But I'm not sure.
This could be true, I won't deny it. But his attacks aren't weak. His CQC is up there, probably the best on feats. The damage he did on Laxus rivals what Serena did to the GoI. Even if we equalise Laxus' durability with the GoI's, we get Wahl's 3 attacks ~ God Serena's 3 slayer spells, given Laxus was beaten up in much the same way. Of course Wahl got plot help with the sickness, while Serena actually overpowered his opponents, but I think it's also worth noting that none of the GoI can put up a fight like Laxus could. And again if the GoI ~ Laxus, then GS >> Wahl.

While I believe Levy's case to be a plothole, Gajeel was a natural counter (iron-made lungs) and therefore, he was an exception. Similar to Ur being a counter against age seal.
How is Levy a plot hole?

I believe Jura to be around the same level as Bluenote, but the GoI to be slightly superior, by which GS's casual attacks would be superior to base Natsu's serious roar which fodderized Bluenote, but of course, all speculation.
If Jura ~ Bluenote, then wouldn't one Base Roar of Natsu's be equivalent to all of God Serena's attacks? Jura endured the same stuff the GoI did, and went down at the same time. Even if we say the GoI have double the endurance of Jura, then 1 base roar of Natsu's is about the same as 2 of Serena's DS spells.

You're right, but Natsu's flames were city-wrecking from beginning of the series and they might actually even cover more AoE than Serena's casual attacks, while we all know that God Serena is incredibly, enormously, immensely superior to beginning of series Natsu.
Natsu has never done a FD Iron fist on the level of God Serena's Hellflame. Well not to my knowledge anyway. First time I saw it was against Zeref's army. Even the one against the War God was less (this is the first attack, not demolishing strike).

That's been my reasoning lately. I think we overthink these things and Mashima does not pay much attention to them. In fact I think he'd laugh to death if he read our assumptions and our measuring of his attacks, like, WTF what are these guys doing? hahahaha
I do agree. I think people shouldn't take too hard a stance. I do pick a stance, but if more stuff becomes available I have no problem changing.

There is also another point that we need to consider and that is actually having a basis of feats in X792. Essentially the wealth of feats pre-skip are redundant. So we're left with assessing feats 'fresh' for the first time in a long time. By fresh I mean we have no pre-existing evidence or basis. So there's going to be a lot of varying opinion until we get enough feats to compare, and then make better judgments. I mean just look at Jellal's durability. Some say it's rubbish, some say it's Laxus+. When we get the feats we'll now. Same goes for all facets/characters, more feats = better judgement.

Neinhart has his energy blasts, so your point is invalid.
Please. Neinhart main ability is his Historia of the Dead, not energy blasts.

Similarly, he thought he could take on Acnologia, but that doesn't mean he could.
This is how Jacob reacted to God Serena defeating his fellow Wizard Saints:

This is his reaction to Acnologia defeating God Serena:

If Ninehart rly could summon every memory without any restriction, why didn't he summon Igneel and the GMG-dragons like Atlas Flame or Motherglare!? They could have turned easily the tables for the favor of Alvarez-Empire in Hargeon! The answer is simple, he couldn't because his mp wasn't high enough to summon them all!!!!!
Besides he can only revive 9 memories at the same time which was shown in the manga ( that's obviously his limit)!
Btw, Ninehart couldn't summon God Serena because no one in Hargeon knew that he was killed by Acnologia at that time. The memories that Ninehart uses to fight, must be dead ( Historia of corpses) ;)

I'm trying to understand your first paragraph, but it isn't adding up.
First off GS is below dragons in terms of power.

Neinharts power isn't brute force or nukes, but the ability to overpower his opponents with historias. If he had all the historia to fight with him against GS he would give a fair run for his money.
If he use water based attacks? UR freezes them
Fire? Zancrow
Earth?Azuma could create trees to catch them.
Air/Wind? Ezel cuts through it.
And the others could just attack, while the others channel their spell or just protect Neinhart.

Jura would be worth shit on the machine. He uses earth, but Erza fought him in the air, where no solid earth is present.
And yes,the GoI are fodder in my eyes.
