Admittedly, my assessment of Sting is incomplete. If he beats Larcade, then he should at least be on the whole Natsu-Gray-Gajeel complex. Characters on that level can defeat your average Spriggan 12 member with relative ease. Even if Larcade's magic is less effective against Sting, I think its safe to say that Sting's attacks do not inflict extra damage against Larcade. Attacks that would take out Larcade should take down any other Spriggan imo.
My ranking of God Serena might change if it turns out that August has salvaged Serena's dragon slaying lacryma, and uses them in an upcoming battle. Fingers crossed, but for now I have him with the rest of the Spriggans.
Actually Gray and Gajeel can't defeat a Spriggan with ease. Heck it is arguable if they can defeat a Spriggan on a regular basis. Gray would have been easily defeated by Invel if not for Juvia saving his life.
Ice Lock>>>>Gray
Gajeel couldn't even land a hit on Bradman until he absorbed a portion of Bradman power and even then he was damn near defeated also if not for Irene Universe One saving him.
I look at the Spriggan fights this way:
No Lucy means that Natsu+Mavis+113 Guild members would have been easily defeated by Jacob. Without Lucy negating Jacobs Spacial magic/Stealth Magic, Natsu would have lost.
No Ultear means Wendy/Chelia wouldn't even be able to scratch Dimaria. Without Ultear helping Chelia and Co move through time and then proceeding to give Chelia Third Origin no one in the south would have been able to even stand up against her.
Nienheart in the south was giving basically the whole south a high difficulty fight. That includes Gray/Lyon//Erza/Kagura/Laxus/Wendy/Meredy/Juvia.
No Brandish being Nakamafied means instant destruction for Ishgar.
No Juvia healing Gray means death for both Gray and Juvia at the hand of Invel.
No Levy means Gajeel would have been defeated at the hands of Bradman.
No Rogue means Sting wouldn't be able to hope to beat Lacrade. Also if Lacrade didn't use Light magic, Sting would stand zero chance.
Here is the problem with powerscaling.
1. Characters are being nerfed:
2. Characters aren't being utilized to their full potential
3. Battle matchups in which Character B as a counter to character A magic.
Like Nienheart is by some people standards the weakest Spriggan but I have to strongly disagree with that. If Nienheart used his power to the full extent he could have easily wiped out Ishgar by himself.
Like Hades could have cast Grimore Law against Ishgar. He could have summoned all the 9DG, Zancrow, Ur, Deloria, etc. Nienhearts power wasn't being utilized to the fullest.
Then you have people like Kagura/Lucy who tend to get nerfed. In the GMG you have Kagura unsheathed sword damn near slice a city in half. Her unshealthed sword in the current arc is barely slicing hills. Then you had Lucy who in Chapter 1, Aquarius could easily throw a 5 ton ship into port but in chapter 384 struggles to push Jackal, a 218lb max, demon back.
Then you have Ultear who can counter Dimaria time magic or Sting who can eat Larcades Light magic.
