Zancrow wasn't stronger than Laxus, and stopped being stronger than Natsu when Natsu got LFD. GMG Natsu would have stomped Zancrow. Current Natsu would solo the godslayers plus the god of war, and probably still have enough power to finish off Dimaria. Laxus was stronger than Orga from the get go. Wendy and Chelia were equals in the GMG. Then Wendy pulled ahead with dragon force in Tartarus. The only time when Chelia was ahead of Wendy afterwards was when she had 3rd origin, which used up all the magic power she will ever have in her lifetime. Keep in mind that Chelia is the strongest god slayer, and the only way she can beat a Spriggan was to use her entire life's worth of magic. Gajeel, WSD, and Laxus can all pull it off without.
Spriggans we’re described both in and out of story in the volume of their introduction as the strongest enemies they have ever faced, so no, Dragons are not the strongest at all. I am not talking about Savage Flames, though he has to actually reach the temperatures to actually use it, otherwise he is trapped in Time Stop and killed. That would not make sense as Infinite supply requires something of an equal proportions thus infinite. But the point. Being seeing as Savage Flames is the strongest then there is no means of killing Zeref with just power alone, it has to be with hax or ability that is required as well at least. The volume states otherwise though that it is the power of the dying, and no, not all powers from a dead person are the same (Igneel’s power is described to be different “by Zeref’s theory”) though he would not die by choosing what he was, either a human, dragon or demon. Having infinite power is not the issue here, it is a matter of END developing to the point where he can actually do the same thing as savage flames can and with his demon ability kill Zeref as well. Yet savage flame alone is not enough to kill him. Yet Zeref did not stop time, all he did was reverse time, that was basically it. That does not make Hades anymore god like if he just experimented on Mavis who was in a coma with mortal spells and preserving her body. Nothing says that curses can’t which he was using by the way. No regular Natsu is not stronger than END, that is why Brandish can still effect her
Except
we know for a fact that there are multiple dragons stronger than the Spriggans, with evidence from the manga itself. Acnologia was described as the strongest enemy Fairy Tail has ever faced, being strong enough to solo the Zeref and the Spriggans combined. Igneel had enough power left over after his fight with Acnologia to still kill Zeref. The 5 dragon gods are all on Acnologia's level, and therefore enough to solo Spriggans. Irene tied August for the strongest Spriggan, and she was a dragon slayer turned into a dragon. One of the strongest Spriggans is a dragon. So yes, absolutely dragons are the strongest.
Natsu doesn't need Savage Flames to take out Dimaria. Any regular FDK spell stronger than Chelia's spell would do it. He doesn't need Savage Flames to move in Dimaria's time either. Savage Flames burned out Fairy Heart's time magic, which is overkill for the purposes of beating Dimaria. END didn't need to burn out Dimaria's time to move through her time, he just needed to be stronger than Dimaria. Natsu can reach END's power level by entering FDK mode or dragon force.
I agree that Dimaria can beat base Natsu if she catches him with age seal before he gets into one of his stronger modes. But if Natsu is already amped on POF and runs into her, or he manages to enter FDK mode or dragon force before she stops time, then there's pretty much nothing she can do to prevent Natsu from oneshotting her. Same with Brandish. Her powers might work against base Natsu when he's relaxed. Not against a PoF amped Natsu that is stronger than Neinhart.
Japanese Raws > Kodansha translations. You do realize that the Japanese raws are more official than the Kodansha translations right? The Japanese raws are literally the words Hiro Mashima puts on paper.
死せる者の力. 死(shi) on its own means "death".
死せ (shisheru) together means dead. る (ru) means "of". 者 (mono) means person. の (no) should be obvious to any anime fan. It means "of" in a possessive manner. 力 (chikara) means power. Word for word, it literally says "dead of person of power". In readable english, a literal translation is "power of a dead person". This should even be a debate.
We know for a fact, Igneel is dead. He's not dying. If he were dying, then he would be alive.
Quite frankly, I don't know where you are going with this. It is waaaay
easier to obtain the power of the dying than the power of the dead. Power of the dead requires you to take the power of someone who is dead. Power of the dying just requires you to be using magic power of someone that is dying. That someone could even be yourself. Juvia when she stabbed herself was dying. She would have had the power of a dying person. Again, there is a reason Natsu was sent to be trained by Igneel. The plan was for Natsu to become strong enough during this training to take out Zeref. It's not hard to imagine why Zeref went along with this idea. Igneel is just a cut under Acnologia in power, and Acnologia is the strongest living being there is. Giving Natsu the potential to reach Igneel's level was Zeref's best bet. If merely having the power of a dead person would be enough, there are tonnes of other options. Literally have one of his minions, like Irene, eat someone's magic and then kill them. Or beat them to a pulp if you want to arguing "dying > dead", which is even easier.
Reversing time is more overpowered than stopping time, but that's besides the point. Zeref can stop time, and he doesn't need to Fairy Heart to do it. He stopped time in Tartarus when he talked to Natsu. Zeref can pretty much do what Dimaria does without Fairy Heart. Fairy Heart grants him a myriad of more overpowered abilities. If Natsu punches Dimaria with the FDK demolition fist in Dragon Force he used on Zeref, she's dead. Her body would scatter into particles. Zeref can just rewind time, even when his body is a bunch of particles, to restore everything. Not just his own body, but the surrounding environment and potentially other living things. How is that not more OP?
