No way is DF Natsu below Gildarts. He gets a three time boost of his maximum power which means that's him having 3x the power of his strongest mode which is FDKM. FDKM is something I would put on the level Gild, but his DF far surpasses him.

END is on the level of Darkness Gray and I rate FDKM above that. Natsu in FDKM was like Natsu on steriods which is crazy bcs DF is a steroid version of that form now. Dude pass heat flex is one of the most impressive things in the manga. I think he could 1vs1 Gild in that form in a great fight. Gild might edge it out, but it's possible he could melt through Gild's magic with the heat he emits from it.

But, I would like to see current Natsu use it. See if it is still as hype and powerful as what was shown in Alvarez or if I was giving it too much credit and the form was a fluke.

DF Natsu is above Laxus because his attack could blow apart Zeref's body. Anyone who isn't immortal would die to that attack if it lands.

FDK Natsu is below Laxus because his attacks can't actually kill any of the Spriggans, whereas Laxus' can. Laxus' nuke would have killed Ajeel and his red lightning did kill Wall.

Much of this applies to Gildarts, who should be slightly stronger than Laxus.

Natsu's DF is something devastating proven from a single point,he barely uses it,he used it only once in Alvarez arc and in 100 YQ till now none.

He didn't even use FDKM in 100 YQ till now too.

No, since Igneel's power can kill Zeref but DF can't.
Well if zeref didn’t have FH would DF natsu till perform that same feat?

I don't see why not. Natsu would have still blasted apart Zeref's body. Only difference is instead of rewinding time and reassembling his body, Zeref would have to wait for his immortality regeneration to kick in.

But we don’t really know ig natsu could have kill zeref it’s just a speculation at that point. Anyways My point is that DF natsu would assuming Erased zeref (in ur opinion) while it took ig natsu took multiple hits to put damage on zeref

The narrative text in the story thus far section told us that they would have died, so that's enough for me. Of course, there is a grey area. Igneel's power could kill Zeref, but that doesn't necessarily involve doing much visible damage to Zeref's body. On the other hand, blowing apart Zeref's body doesn't actually kill Zeref, like we've seen.

@Benomaru Yeah, it' s really a sad thing that his hax is so op. He should have his own element. I often read about the theory that he has the soul element. But that was before we knew that his element is "magic". Just like I said, I didn't like Acnologia's power.

@Axiomus
But this didn't make sense. I mean with infinite magic power he should have the power to strengthen his attacks/spells, because the energy for spells are the magic power of the characters. It's just like Lucy couldn't summon two or three spirits in the beginning of the manga, since she didn't have the magical power to do so. After training and second origin she could do it. So in this case Zeref's attacks/spells should be like his infinite power, extremely strong. That's the point of "infinite magic power". So it makes no sense that Natsu could burn through Zeref's magic and that's that what I didn't take seriously. No one should be able to defeat Zeref. Only Acnologia maybe because of his hax ability. But even then with infinite power he could cast unlimited spells, Acnologia is immune to magic but he can get hit. In Tartaros arc Igneel's breath pushed Acnologia to the ground. Acnologia wasn't injured. But with unlimited spells Zeref could stomp Acnologia to the ground permanently (kind of like Tenshinhan against Cell). But that's in theory. But I mean Zeref could do it, he has enough magic arts and knowledge about magic that he could do it.

I think in Mavis' case it's the same like Zeref's. She never did anything. But we know that she can use magic like Fairy Law, Fairy Glitter, Fairy Sphere, Law and Ankshelams death magic. So again with her infinite magic power she could cast unlimited fairy laws or other magic. And with her infinite magic power she could strengthen them. Magic power is the power of the strengths from magic and spells so the whole Fairy Heart thing makes no sense because Natsu burnt it away. In plot case, everyone could do it if the author wants it so. Therefore, for me, Fairy Heart is above because Natsu's "burn magic away" is nonsense. I understand if you or others rank characters on what they show. I do it sometimes too. But in this case, this thing with Natsu was so stupid that I can't take it seriously. If Natsu won because of the power of END and with curses because these are not magic, that would make more sense and I would accept this. But so I can't.
The whole fight with Acnologia was stupid too. I know what you mean, Natsu couldn't burn Acnologia away just like he did it with Zeref. But like I said the whole thing with Natsu's power and Fairy Heart and Acnologia's hax power are so senseless that I only can say what I think. I accept the opinion from others but for me Zeref and Acnologia are above Natsu. In fact, Natsu> FH Zeref, but for me Zeref>>Natsu. On the basis of what I said.
Bur you're right Neo Eclipse is a special thing. So I take that back what I said about it.

But Neinhart's Historias are weaker than the self when they were alive. So he just casts a weaker Azuma, Hades etc. But yeah, you're right here. But I can see a chance for Azuma, Bluenote and other old villains to beat him, if it takes him time to summon some characters like his Spriggan comrades. Because of their great strengths maybe it takes time to summon them. But unlikely. So I take that back too.

@August_Lightning
Because Gajeel didn't show anything that would make him stronger than them. Since the GMG arc he only wins his battles with special power ups or with help from other characters. Plus, he doesn't show any new spell like the other main Fairy Tail members or some other characters like Kagura, Sting or Jellal. His last new spell was in Tenrou arc and with his dual mode in the GMG arc. He needed his dual mode to beat Rogue in the battle, yeah I know that was because Rogue became help too from his Future Self but that was not the same power with his future self battles Natsu. He only gives Rogue a little bit about his power. And that's only if it really was his future self who helped him. I can't remember exactly what it was. In the Tartaros arc he loses against Torafuzer without Levy's help he would be dead now. He only wins because Levy gave him Air and because he somehow absorbed the particles of Torafuzer's poison water so he could enter a new mode(?) or cast a new special spell only in this battle to win. And Alvarez he would lose again without the help of Levy against Bloodman and if he didn't eat Bloodmans Partcial to enter dragon force. So he could hit Bloodman and defeat him.

Not to mention that Bloodman doesn't use his whole curses, the most power full Curses he didn't show just like macro, or Kyouka's curse. And the full power of Mard's Curse he didn't show too. Meanwhile Kagura fights three of the Spriggan 12, two of them were one of the top Spriggans and she was somehow more useful. And I think she has more magic power she was back at the GMG arc on the same level like Minerva and Erza and if I remember correctly only Laxus and Jura had more magic power than these three. And I don't think that Gajeel get the level in one year in case of magic power. And I don't see why Kagura couldn't get stronger too? Anyway, I think Kagura and Minerva could beat Gajeel because of their magic, Kagura's Gravity Magic is strong and Minerva's Room magic also. And we don't know if his DF mode is a permanent power up or not. In the case of Sting, his Dragonslayer magic is more destructive than Gajeel's. See GMG arc. He gets a dual mode dragon force power up. So I would put this power up about Gajeel's DF. And he beats Larcade, the third strongest member of the Spriggan 12. Well, with help too and because Sting had elementary advantage like Gajeel in his battle against Bloodman. But Gajeel "lost his life" in this battle and didn't beat Bloodman directly because Bloodman could "kill" Gajeel in the end. Without the nonsense help of Irenes Universe One he would be dead. While Sting beats Larcade. So I put these 3 about Gajeel.

Gajeel is a good brawler and in a pure fist fight he would beat Minerva and Kagura. But Kagura can cut Diamond plus has she gravity power and Minerva can manipulate the room I don't see how Gajeel could beat them. Maybe with DF but yeah, can he use it? And even than could he beat them? Because this was a special DF mode to hit and beat Bloodman. But that's my opinion. Since I don't see what he could do against of these three in a real battle. Well, maybe Kagura with the help of his dual mode, if he can use it well. And that's only a maybe for me. But Minerva who manipulates space how she wants and Sting who can use light powers and a more destructive power and maybe shadows too? I don't see it.

What are you talking about, Gajeel's ISD is the perfect counter to Kagura's gravity and Minerva's spatial magic. Literally the perfect counter. Spatial Magic can't work on a shadow and Gravity pulls the person down, Gajeel is already underground in the Shadow World. Perfect Counter.

Gajeel is already stronger than Sting. They can both be shadows and tbf, Sting couldn't do it on his own.

That's hypocritical, Gajeel can't win on his own? Did Sting beat Larcade on his own? No, he had Kagura and Rogue help him out.

Kagura, Rogue, and Minerva are all either featless and or shit feats in alvarez.

Since when is White Magic DS more destructive? Gajeel has his Iron Scales to counter to Kagura's sword.

Gajeel has is own Iron-Dragon Sword too so he can fight sword to sword with Kagura.

Again I'll say this Objectively. Gajeel is the perfect counter to all three of them. He low-mid diffs them all.

If Zeref's attack had infinite power, he would blow up the universe with his attacks. Even with infinite magic power, how I rank Zeref is still limited by his feats. In this case, Zeref's attack was beaten by Natsu's raging flames of emotions. As hot as those flames were, they were still flames created by a finite amount of magic power. Mavis is the same as Zeref. Even with infinite magic power, she is still only as strong as what her feats show her to be. If the Alvarez Arc has taught us one thing, it's that higher magical power doesn't always mean you hit harder.

I like to base my power-ranking mostly on what the characters have shown, not what I think they could achieve with their abilities. The latter is too reliant on imagination. Even if Zeref could theoretically spam Etherion, it's not something that he was shown pulling off. That version of Zeref exists only in our imaginations. I mean, I get it if you think Natsu's victory over Acnologia and Zeref was stupid. In a sense they are. But they're still canon.

DF Natsu > Ignatsu as shown in the manga, More destructive and more effective against a stronger version of Zeref. Ignatsu got that passive of killing the immortal using the power of the dead, Natsu surpassed that power in his DF.

Every time someone says IgNatsu, I keep thinking of Ignia powered Natsu, confusing asf.

With an actual spell? No. I think Cana is within Gray's oneshot range with attacks like zero longsword.

With the punch that he tried to throw last chapter? Yes. Evidently because a drunk Cana actually dodged it.
I must be weird but I really don't see how he was arrogant to think he could one-shot drunk Cana.

If someone asked you prior to this chapter if Gray could one-punch a drunk Cana would you really have responded "drunk Cana dodges"? From everything Gray has done and from the lack of serious things Cana has done (not to mention a drunk Cana) I would have said he could pull off the one-punch.

Sorry for taking this into another thread btw, this seems like a purely power-based discussion and I don't want to pointlessly talk about this in the chapter thread. Can't believe we're actually talking about a drunk character in power levels lmao, Fairy Tail is a wild manga.
