Not at all. I can have it both ways. FH is a boost in strength, no Zeref wasn't boosted to infinity. There is a cap on any powerup, Tenrou Natsu with Igneel's magic wouldn't beat Zeref, Alvarez Natsu would. Doesn't change the fact that Igneel's magic is a powerup.
To be fair, Tenrou Natsu wouldn't even be able to use Igneel's magic power. Natsu needed 10 months of training to be able to use Igneel's power. He pretty much needed to be at Alvarez-arc levels just to use it.
You said Zeref can control the curse when he doesn't value life, then questioned why he couldn't stop it from killing Mavis...you literally answered your own question: it's because he valued her life. He explicitly said once he doesn't value life, he has full control, it's simple.
Zeref can't control Ankhseram's curse. When Zeref values life, Ankhseram's curse makes him lose control over his magic power. When Zeref doesn't value life, Ankhseram's curse gives him control over his magic power. Zeref's magic power and Ankhseram's curse are 2 separate things. At no point can Zeref control the curse itself.

Suzaku and Natsu are in but August and Eileen aren't? What is this? At least add in Eileen, she's beatable by many characters now, plus we need some contraversy. Kick out Midnight or Freed or something, no one cares about those two, they'll be out instantly

Suzaku and DF Natsu are downright stronger than Irene and August. If we were going by power levels alone, there's no reason not to include them. But I imagine the tournament is mostly going to involve characters relevant to 2021, and both these characters are dead.
Natsu can only really beat him when he kills him as he was about to get up any moment, it is basically the Aizen vs Ichigo situation, Natsu can’t really kill him without powers like END. DF Natsu maybe, but Suzaku is questionable.

Well considering that Gildarts shows up whenever a strong opponent appears where FT can’t handle them like Bluenote and Historia GS, maybe he thought it would be too. Like give everyone else some room to grow.

To me this kinda throws a wrench at my scaling of Suzaku > Gildartst tho. I guess Georg is Gildarts Opponent (if he comes back somehow) or a different BSDK.

They should be above GMG dragons (since they are parents, hence special), who are around peak Animus tier.
Nerfed Animus no diff'd x792 base Natsu. Peak Animus is even stronger
Animus also tanked many hits from one of Natsu's strongest DF, before going down for good.
