Where is it proven that Ignia is stronger than Igneel? Like WoWFan said, the way both Ignia and Selene talked about Igneel (and to a certain extent Aldoron too), it seemed like they held quite some respect for his power. If they were definitively stronger than him, why would such arrogant characters talk of Igneel with such a tone?

Ignia says he's stronger than Igneel. I mean he literally says he's as strong as Acnologia who killed Igneel twice.

Because he saw Acnologia himself & that's where the power estimation comes from. That same Acnologia he saw killed Igneel. There's also the fact that Igneel is regarded as a Dragon King while Ignia is regarded as a Dragon God. Elefseria himself even calls them the same lvl as Acnologia which automatically puts them above Igneel. Mentioning hax skillsets is just playing cemantics.

Elefseria is the wisdom dragon. It's part of his magic lol. Who didn't know Acnologia?

And since Laxus got oneshotted by Kyria, it's safe to say that my girl Kyria - with her hax - will soon be the strongest member of Diabolos! Kyria >> Laxus > Kirin > other BDSK members >> Skullion, Madmole, Nebal etc.

Because he literally was the one to "kill" him. No one could sense that he was alive. There could easily be an explanation for it if you wait a few chapters. I'm certain there will be. Never claimed he was all knowing. Just that he knows how strong Acnologia was. Everyone knew.

I re-read the chapter, and I can tell you for certain that Ignia did not hold his power to a higher standard. Selene mocks his flame who she compares to igneel, and Ignia outright says to not compare his flame to Igneel as he proceeds to burn Selene so bad she feels immense pain. In That Context, They don’t hold Igneel to a higher standard.

And you people should stop with that idiotic take.

Seems like people are finally starting to accept the story instead of downplaying the DGs and wanking Igneel.

Skullion only overwhelmed Gray during their first encounter, which is always when Mashima wants to make villain appear super menacing and everything. Then he trashes them because he remembers he's already bored of them. Remember when he hyped Skullion's magic as ashe make type magic with the boat ?
That storyline went nowhere.

BSS Mira tied skullion for some reason, none of those where shown on screen. Same about how Laxus bypassed Skullion's intangibility . Laxus is clearly way above him but how did he bypass that hax ? No one knows. Mashima doesn't either, he doesn't care about Skullion anymore, the only relevant one from Diabolos's team rocket trio, is surprinsingly the big boob girl. Classic Mashima.

Power levels are wacky and don't make much sense, so yes considering Brandish's appearances, somehow Spriggans are still relevant. Does it make sense ? Does Mashima's writing make sense anyway ?


Also about Gray tying END : Gray, on full POF (blaming END about his parents's, master's and love's death) , with Slayer advantages, only managed to tie with END. That tells you actually END >> regular Alvarez Gray.
Same how POF gray with Ice advantage only managed to beat a Spriggan.

Laxus is about to get a major powerup to defeat Kirin. He'll free the soul & have the heart & soul of the Lightning Dragon King. I'm betting he'll be equal to Gildarts at that point.
