God Serena did not even use his diamond power against Jellals spells, he not even tried to block the spell with his diamond spells, so we can say that at least Serena doesn't use all of his power, he could spam his spells much more so that Jellal would have a hard time in the battle, maybe he would have even lost.

Characters seem not use spells that would have been useful in certain situations.

I’d like to know everyone’s thoughts on Mirajane vs Lucy and where everyone thinks they stand in regards to power ranking.

Personally and obviously I’m Team Mirajane being stronger but I’ve had strong opposition in discord debates that are arguing otherwise.

This may be controversial with Lucy's feats against Kyria being more recent than Mira's against Skullion. I myself thought that Lucy was close or could be slightly stronger than BSS Mira because Skullion and Kyria should be on the same level. But with hindsight and reflection I think that Mira remains stronger, given that Lucy was going to die at the hands of Kyria if Laxus had not intervened.

Lucy has progressed as a spellcasting mage but she is still not represented as a high-level fighter. After all, it's not just Mira that people think Lucy can beat. Gray and Gajeel suffer even more from this problem despite Gajeel tanking LFD Natsu who was going to one shot Lucy by Aquarius statements.

I personally think Mira is stronger than Lucy since she didn't use Alegria against Skullion. But the difference in power is not that big, so Lucy could surpass her in this current arc.

Lucy may have the magic power to defeat Mirajane with "Uranometria", but she is below Mirajane in strength, speed, corporal fight, etc. Lucy in the best scenario can knock Mirajane but passes out after it. Thus, Mirajane is stronger. Lucy can't beat Kagura and Minerva too if it is not in the same way. Lucy relies completely on her strongest spells. But she will be bashed by the rank S mages during all the fight.
