Fairy Tail RPG: The Wild Hunt

"It wasn't much Jess, we just did what our hearts told us to do, I am happy we got some new nakama though~" Okami smiled brightly something people hadn't seen her do in years.

"Ah Sniff, don't exaggerate," okami laughed awkwardly.

Right then Athena came and took her for the talk she's been wanting to have for a while.

"Athena-san I was wondering since you're a celestial spirit mage as well if you know anything about that blond from fairy tail, a certain layla who bears a strong resemblance to her saved me once and she talked to shiranui like they were old friends! Although I have no idea what they said," Okami asked Athena politely,

"And maybe if you heard something in your travels about Ari-chan," Tora asked sitting on the table between the two knowing very well her DS wouldn't get the courage to ask soon, she got a warning glance from Okami but also a grateful pat on the head.

Meanwhile everyone was excited about their picture on the newspaper.
"Ugh, I hope no one in the streets will recognise us," Okami murmurmed always having hated unwanted attention.
"Well the grocer did ask us autographs today..." Tora pointed out
"I can't believe Mac would do that, don't remind me," Okami snapped back as Athena seemed to find it amusing and then her replies followed...

 

[Tame]

'I wouldn't worry about it,' Athena said with a giggle. 'Everyone will have forgotten about it in a few days.' Then she turned back to Okami to answer her inquiries. 'That blonde Celestial Spirit Mage's name is Lucy Heartphilia. She joined Fairy Tail a while ago but she was a member of their group that disappeared for a number of years and recently returned. As I understand it she's a strong Mage who owns many Golden Keys which, as you know, hold roughly the same power to my Platinum Keys. Her mother was Layla Heartphilia; doubtless this was who saved you. I don't know a lot about her other than that she was also a Celestial Spirit Mage of considerable strength, that she was very wealthy and... Well, she is now deceased, I'm afraid,' Athena concluded apologetically.

She was silent for a little time, allowing this information to sink in. Then she pulled out a piece of parchment and laid it on the table between them. 'That is an S-Class job request that came up just before I went away. The parchement read:

"Help! The village of Oreo calls for urgent assistance!
We are being persecuted by a group calling itself "The Children of Zeref".
They are demanding access to the sacred ruins we guard.
We have not the military power to repel them.
Powerful Mages, please aid us!"​

'I investigated it alone; the Children of Zeref are no push-overs, and I can't fight them by myself. That's why I returned - to gather a team to face them. I came to you because... I think Ari may be involved with this group,' Athena said solemnly.

 

[Ghan]

"I'll be leaving soon", Dante spit out. "There's a place that I need to visit. I haven't told anybody except for you, because you're one of the few I can't trust"

 

[RaveDragon]

"Ah That's too bad, I would have liked to meet her and thank her properly," Okami let the information about her savior sink in. She had a drink she had previously ordered and let it hang in her hands. "Maybe someday I'll go thank her daughter then, it makes sense now, thank you Athena!"

Athena however wasn't done talking and held out the piece of parchment placing it between them for Okami to read.

'That is an S-Class job request that came up just before I went away.'
Tora leaned in and read it aloud

"Help! The village of Oreo calls for urgent assistance!

'I investigated it alone; the Children of Zeref are no push-overs, and I can't fight them by myself. That's why I returned - to gather a team to face them. I came to you because... I think Ari may be involved with this group,' Athena said solemnly.

"Okami?" Tora asked noticing her ds was shaking and Okami got up, the drink in her hand exploded the glass making her hand bleed slightly. She had a few tears in her eyes.

"The ruins at Oreo? She can't...NO...she wants the sceptre now?" Okami shouted scaring a few members of the guild. The realization that her sister might be still in the daarkness made Okami's heart ache.

 

[Tame]

'Where?' Sniff asked curiously, but Dante's words worried him a little; it didn't seem like Dante just meant he was going for an easy trip somewhere. 'You don't mean leaving like, leaving for good, do you?'


Athena had expected the news to shake Okami, but she thought that it would also be good to hear that her sister was still alive. She hadn't expected this kind of reaction; Okami knew more about this than she did, it seemed. 'Okami, are you are okay?' she asked, taking the girl's hand. 'Shall we go somewhere to talk about this?'

 

[Ghan]

" I don't know", he said. "I have to find out who I really am, and what is the purpose of my life. I need to know the truth.

"There are some things I need to take care of before I go. I won't be leaving anytime soon"

 

[RaveDragon]

Okami nodded tears were streaming down her face but she was trying to hide them.
Tora noticed jumping on Okamis head to help her hide the tears, "Let's go somewhere else Athena,"

Athena led Okami somewhere were they could talk privately. Tora helped Athena nurse the girls hand while they listened intently to the truth about the mission where Ari had been lost. Okami knew ari was still alive and she explained it all to Athena.

 

[Tame]

'Oh well, if that's all!' Sniff said, smiling broadly. 'We're all trying to find out what our purpose in life is, Dante! That's what a guild is for! But I understand you gotta do what you gotta do. Just remember you don't have to do it alone. You've got friends here who'll do anything to help they can. Just say the word!'


Athena listened sympathetically to Okami's story, stroking her hand to comfort her. When Okami finished she said softly, 'Well then it's even more important that we stop these guys and save your sister, even if we're saving her from herself. 'Come on, dry your eyes.' She offered Okami a handkerchief and hugged her close. 'You're not alone. Tora and I will be with you every step of the way.'

 

[RaveDragon]

"You're right, I'm her sister i'll do whatever it takes to save her," Okami said softly wiping her tears and thanking Athena for the handkerchief.

Athena hugged her close and Okami blushed profusely, she wasn't used to this kind of showing of affection, her sister used to tease her about it but she managed to returne the embrace and nodded in Athena's shoulder.

Tora joined in the hug and said, "We should hold a party or celebration to lighten up, after all we're famous now!"

 

[Ghan]

"Only if you knew everything", Dante sadly thought.

Clearing out his thoughts, he spoke to Sniff saying " Of course, I already knew that I could trust you guys. Let's go back out to the courtyard and continue being celebrities"

 

[Tame]

'Great idea!' agreed Athena. 'We all deserve the day off! We can set out on the mission tomorrow. Okami, I'll leave the selection of the team up to you; this is your business so choose people you feel confortable around.'

'Last time I saw you that list would just include Tora,' Athena thought. 'But after yesterday... well, I think I can guess a couple of people you'd be happy to come along.'


'Sounds good to me!' said Sniff, clapping Dante on the shoulder as they headed back towards the others. 'And I know it's only midday, but I could do with a beer after what we went through yesterday!'

Okami looked at Tora, "Terry, Alica, Dante and Sniff?'

Tora nodded and they both set off toward the courtyard to find their friends, "terry and alica should soon be home from their trip we can ask them then!"

Okami nodded, "Until then let's ask Sniff and Dante,"

Okami saw them and waved at the two in greeting.

 

[Ghan]

"Well Sniff, I hope you know that I'm only 17, right?", he said jokingly.

Looking ahead, Dante saw Okami waving at them.

"Let's go see what she wants", he said cheerfully

 

[Tame]

Okami looked at Tora. 'Terry, Alica, Dante and Sniff?'

Tora nodded and they both set off toward the courtyard to find their friends. 'Terry and Alica should soon be home from their trip we can ask them then!'

Okami nodded. 'Until then let's ask Sniff and Dante.' Okami saw them and waved at the two in greeting.

'Well Sniff, I hope you know that I'm only 17, right?' Dante said jokingly.

'Hahah, I had my first beer when I was fourteen!'

Looking ahead, Dante saw Okami waving at them.

'Let's go see what she wants,' he said cheerfully. They headed over to Okami, Tora and Athena.

'Hmm, I'd expected Sniff and Dante, but she's befriended Terry and Alica too?' Athena was thinking as the two groups met up. 'Okami's really opened up. Dante, too. The six of them together... they must be a formidable team. Hehe, maybe the strongest in the Guild.'

 

[RaveDragon]

"Guys wanna go on a mission with me, Tora and Athena?" Okami asked having composed herself. She was still a bit shaky and her eyes were kind of red but her mood seemed to brighten.

"i'm going to invite Terry and Alica as well when they get back! Those guys got skills!" Okami grinned.

"Okami is smiling again Athena! she's really smiling!" Tora said on the sclass mages shoulder.

 

[Ghan]

"Yeah, I don't mind. I needed to take some things off my mind anyway. Where are we headed to, what do we have to do, and how much money is involved?"

 

[RaveDragon]

"I think we should show them the parchment Athena-san!" Okami said excited. This could be it. Soon she might be able to get her sister back.

 

[Tame]

'It's good to see, isn't it?' Athena said with a smile to Tora.

When Okami suggested she show them the parchment, she took it from the folds of her dress and held it out to Sniff and Dante. Sniff took it, unravelled it and held it out so that he cane Dante could both read it.

'Woah, S-Class Mission?' he said, looking up at Athena, delight showing in his every feature. 'Can we really do this mission?'

'Well I'll run it past Master first, but I'm sure he'll okay it.'

'Awesome! Thank you, Athena-sama!!' he exclaimed in gratitude and excitement. 'When do we leave?'

Athena laughed indulgently and said: 'We were thinking tomorrow morning.'

 

[Ghan]

"Well this is going to be challenging" Dante said. In his mind, he decided that he was going to leave after he completed this job.

 

[RaveDragon]

"So for now how about some celebrations? I think we deserve some fun," Okami grinned hiding the fact she feared what would come.

"Let's do this!" Tora said, "Hey guys since we're a team do you think we should find a name for us?"
