'Trex Rauly, that's all you need to know about me,' the man told Sniff in a whispered tone. Sniff said nothing.

'Takeover Triceratops.'

The man seemed to opt for full body transformations, and charged straight towards Sniff, who jumped aside to evade, when Rauly switched to a partial Take Over that gave him his name 'Takeover Tyrannosaurus!

The large half-human, half-dino head snapped at Sniff. One huge tooth just nicked his left arm, drawing blood. The kangaroo-man landed and aimed a swift punch with his right arm to the side of the dinosaur-man's head.

 

[Ghan]

" Alright be careful" he told Tora as she took off.

Something whizzed past his ears as the words left his mouth. Dante immediately leaped in the air and back flipped and soared with his body facing the ground . There was a man under him preparing another one of his attacks.

 

[Rarhyx]

Terry was also in a plain, stone room; there were doors in the walls to his left and right, and a third straight ahead. Before he could make his choice, Naru appeared in front of him, having charged past him at an incredible speed. The young man chuckled cockily and stood in front of the central door.

'Slow down there, buddy,' he said. 'Me and Kiri here want some fun with you.'

'Heeehee, this is gonna be fu-un!' said a wicked voice from behind Terry. Over his shoulder he could see the Sun Mage, Kiri, approaching slowly.

"So 2on1 again? Alright, show me what you got!" said the Dragon Slayer with a smile on his face.

"Red Lightning Fist'" Terry jumped towards Kiri to hit her with his fist.

The blond man whistled as Dante back-flipped, then flew upwards into the air. He began concentrating more magic to his legs for another attack, but then thought better of it. 'No reason for me to play on his pitch,' he thought. Catching Dante's eye, he smirked, nodded at him, them turned and walked back inside the ruins' first room. The flying boy would have to follow, he thought, and fight where he couldn't take advantage of his flight.


'Red Lightning Fist!' Terry jumped towards Kiri to hit her with his fist. She raised one arm to protect herself and in the palm of her other hand light began to swirl. Faster than his eye could follow, Naru intercepted Terry's punch, putting himself between his team mate and the Dragon Slayer.

'Yowch!' he yelled as he took the force of the attack. As he did so, though, he grabbed Terry's fist, holding him in place. From behind him darted the Sun Mage, who gleefully slammed the flaming ball of magic she had produced into Terry's side.

 

[Ghan]

Footsoul glanced over his shoulder and saw Dante running towards him, as expected. He grinned. He focused his magical power to his legs, making them glow silver. Jumping into the air, he flipped backwads, directing an over-head kick at Dante's head. 'Overhead Smash!!' he shouted.

 

[Ghan]

Dante was barely able to cover his head with his arms crossed. The impact must have broken his wrists because it was swinging loosely. The ground below him started cracking and lowering every second.

"Alicia, get out of here" he yelled.

The pain that was shooting thought the bones in his arms were unbearable. Uncrossing his arms, he rolled under his attacker and slid to a halt. The feeling in his arms were gone and now they were useless.

Trex swiftly returned to his takeover triceratops only this time he was partially transformed taking on the attack full on with a smirk with his now very hard shield like head, he promptly grabbed for Sniffs arms, his three horns aimed for the mans chest and tried to skewer him in the wall.

When he finished the attack unsure if it was successful he opted for a more defensive form, "Dino soul stegosaurus!"
If sniff tried anything he could hunch up in a ball and the blades on his back would skewer him.

"herbivore souls against dino soul, this shall be an honorable fight," the man whispered to his opponent waiting for him.



Tora arrived at the scene to find the little pink haired girl all fidgety as she saw the body of her ds being catapulted from one side of the room to the other, the walls exploding on contact.

"kitty!" laymia exclaimed watching the exceed hover by her, Tora opted to use the kids head as a seat as they were obviously both spectators.

"Tora..."Ari mumbled looking at the cats sad eyes as they watched her, the exceed culd have sworn the cold eyes had flicked back to their warm dark old ones, "You should tell your ds to open the door, imouto-chan is being stubborn,"

"The hell are you thinking sister! If the scythe and the sceptre are brought together chaos will descend in this world!" Okami roared as she emerged bruised and battered from the debris.

"Precisely, Zeref's time will be established once more," the woman smirked.

"That's bull and you know it, drop that scythe sister it's consuming you!" Okami countered flustered.

"Enough!" the voice was completely different and send chills down the others spine, her eyes had gone completely red, "Arc of Death!"

She swung her scythe and a purple arc of malevolent magic power was sent directly at Okami.

"nee-sama you can't she's the only one who can open the treasure room!" Laymia pleaded terrified but it was too late

"OKAMI!" Tora cried from atop the girls head.

'Looks like both your arms are gone,' the man said to Dante as he stood, hand on one hip, smirking. 'I'm Footsoul, by the way. You should know the name of the man that kills you.'

He walked steadily towards Dante. 'I'd heard that Ari's old guild was strong, but... well, you guys don't seem like much. Ari's probably gonna get her kid sister to open the doors any minute, and then... Then Zeref will rise!' Footsoul's face suddenly took on a mad light as he thought of Zeref's awakening.

'Herbivore Soul: Golden Monkey!' Sniff's body became much smaller in an instant, allowing him to narrowly avoid being impaled. He hung from one of T-rex's hand, then swung himself up on to the man's arm. He skittered along the man's arm, jumping off at his shoulder and landing lightly behind him.

He enemy opted for a more defensive form, 'Dino soul: stegosaurus!'

If sniff tried anything he could hunch up in a ball and the blades on his back would skewer him.

'Herbivore souls against dino soul, this shall be an honourable fight,' the man whispered to his opponent waiting for him.

'There's no honour in fighting,' Sniff replied, looking darkly at the man. 'But your boss is trying to hurt my friend, so if you stand against me, I'm going to take you down.' He raised himself to his full height (which hasn't very high, given that he was a monkey) and, extending one arm in front of him, waved to T-Rex in "Come and get me" kind of way.


Back outside, Athena swung round, desperately looking from to other of the gigantic black snakes that flew around her head, and at the swirling purple mass of clouds that hung in the air. How had this happened? She had been on the offensive when suddenly the sky had gone dark and these figures had appeared! Was this Karrosil's doing!

'Athena!' a voice called to her! She looked around for its owner, but found no one. 'Athena!!' A worried figure stepped through the mist that engulfed her. It was Neptune. 'Athena, what are you doing?' He shook her roughly, and she seemed to come to her senses.

She glanced round, bewildered. The snakes had gone, the sky was clear once more. 'What happened?' she asked, dazed. 'Wait, you!' she looked up at the laughing Karrosil. 'Illusion Magic, right?!'

'Haha, that's right! But knowing about it isn't enough - I can still cast you into darkness! And soon, when Ari gets the sceptre, the whole world will be cast into darkness!! Ahahaha!!'

'Neptune,' Athena whispered to her spirit. 'Run interference. Cut off his line of sight.'

'Got it,' the buff man nodded, and slammed his trident into the earth again. More thick jets of water shot forth, spinning through the air, back and forth, blocking Karrosil's view of Athena.

'Open, Gate of the Winged Messenger! Mercury!' The dapper man appeared and winked at Athena.

'Seems like you've been relying on me a lot lately, Athena-sama,' he teased.

'This guy?!' exploded Neptune. 'I hate this guy!!'

'Now now, let's work together for Athena-sama's sake.'

'Rrrrr!!!'

"No honour in fighting?" the expressionless man gave Sniff a small smilein his stegosaurus form, "You are young boy, very young,"

The big dino rolled up in a ball and started rotating, the huge takeover mage looked like a giant rotatating shuriken as he rapidly launched himself against Sniff.

 

[Tame]

Sniff was impressed with his opponent's awesome move, despite himself. Staying in Golden Monkey form, he leaped out of the way of the oncoming enemy, hoping to dodge it.

'I can't attack him while he's in that form... I'll have to keep dodging 'til he wears himself out or transforms...' he thought to himself, preparing himself for Rauly's next attack.


A ball of Magic formed in the palm of Footsoul's hand. His face still showed excitement, but wasn't nearly so manic anymore. He let the Magic fall from his hand and drop-kicked it expertly towards Dante. 'Take this, kid! Goal!'


'Let's do this!' Athena announced.

'I'm in,' smiled Mercury.

'Grrr, me too!' said Neptune, not to be out-done.

'Don't look him in the eye, Mercury!' warned Athena. Mercury nodded in acknowledgement and jumped upwards. He began running through the air, dodging between the columns of water that Neptune was controlling.

Karrosil's eyes darted back and forth. He caught glimpses of Mercury approaching him but the spirit was too fast for him to track his movements properly, and the jets of water were providing excellent cover. Suddenly he felt the presence of someone behind him. He swung round to see Mercury standing there, already swinging his cane to attack. One strike to the face sent the child of Zeref descending from his rocky perch to the ground beneath.

'Yeeeeahh!' roared Neptune. 'Don't mess with Athena-sama, y'old crap bag!'

 

[Ghan]

Since his feet were useless , he would have to transfer his magic pressure towards his feet.

" The irony", he thought to himself. Footsoul came closer and closer until he was in striking range. A strong surge propelled him towards Footsoul with both of his feet together and pointed towards him.

Dante's flying kick knocked aside the ball of magic Footsoul had directed at him. It ricocheted upwards, hit the ceiling of the ruins, and exploded violently. By the time the rubble that came down hit the floor, though, Dante's attack had already hit home; Footsoul slammed against the wall.

'Shit!' Footsoul growled, pulling himself together and rubbing his bruised chest. Several of his ribs had been busted. 'I underestimated you, you punk,' he said, admiration and anger in his voice. He ran at Dante, aiming another magically-charge flying kick at the boy's head.

 

[Ghan]

" Who are you calling a punk, you bastard" Dante said. Avoiding the rubble, he launched towards his enemy with a kick of his own.

The two men collided in mid-air, both their kicks striking each other in the chest. The pair seemed to hang motionless for a moment before they both slammed to the floor. Footsoul lay on the floor, trying to pull himself to his feet. He was looking battered and blood was dropping from his mouth.

'Damnit, you little shit!' Shakily, he stood up. 'If I can't beat you, I'll damn well take you down with me!' He formed another ball of magic and dropped it towards his foot. He kicked it directly upwards, sending it crashing into the ceiling above them. The explosion shook the whole room, bringing rubble raining down towards them. 'Haha!!!' he gleefully cackled, the manic look back in his eye. 'Die with me, boy!!'

Footsoul's minded fleeted back to three years ago... when he broke his leg, and was told he's never to play in the Mage's soccer league... Despair had engulfed him. When his leg was better, he had gone travelling to get away from his miserable life, now that soccer was gone from it. He had wanted so badly to have someone to blame, but there was no one. Then, Ari had found him...


Back outside, Mercury landed on solid earth again. Karrosil was lying nearby. Athena and the two spirits quickly surrounded the man.

'You're done,' said Athena authorititively. 'Put the staff down and put your hands on your head.'

Karrosil got to one knee. There was a murderous look in his eyes. 'You bitch!' he spat. 'You low-down, worthless scum! I will not submit to you! Zeref will come, and he shall show the world my worth!' The man raised his staff and smashed it down on the ground. The orb on the end of it shattered into pieces, and from inside it, purple smoke began to rise and swirl, growing quickly, enveloping them all. Athena, Neptune and Mercury all looked round in fear as vision began to enter their minds.

He immediately decided he was very impressed by the mage, he had not felt this excited in his life in many many years, he had always been looking for some fun and finally he found a rival that would satisfy his need to become stronger.

"Shall we stop this silly warm up?" the dino takeover mage smirked allowing his body to shift in his hybrid takeover, his back remained that od the stegosaurus, his head was partially morphed in that of the sharp fanged trex with hair, his tail ended in a round dangerous looking spiked ball, one of his hands resembeled the shield similar to a triceratops head, the other was encorporated with sharp talon, his feet were strong musled scales.

Tex crouched and rapidly shoved the shield like arm in Sniffs face.

"Celestial dragons fang," okami roared sprinting out of the debris and aiming her attack at Ari's stomach. The older girl responded by blockint it with her sycthes blade, blood trickled oon the weapon as the two struggled to overpower the other.

"Okami!" Tora cried in relief from atop Laymi's head, the child was trembling in fear, she had never seen Ari that ferocious.

"Bitch! You could have killed me with that!" okami growled, blood was trickling from her forhead, fortunately it was not flowing into her eyeas, the had busted the roof above with her magic to evade the attack, the stones had turned to dust on contact.

Okami noticed the dark colour spreading on Ari's fingers and gasped, was that the price of death magic?

Trex swerved showing control over his attack aiming straight at Sniff. The change of direction took the monkey by surprise; the stegosaurus slammed into his small form, sending him spinning across the room. He crashed into the ceiling, ricocheted off and hit the far wall.

'Crap, you might even be stronger than Kureda!' he said as he dusted himself down, back in his human form. There was blood trickling down his forehead and chest.

'Shall we stop this silly warm up?" the dino takeover mage smirked, allowing his body to shift in his hybrid takeover. Sniff's eyes grew bright with excitement. He had been planning to take this guy down as quick as possible and move on to help Okami. He hadn't planned to use Hybrid Take Over unless he really needed to. But this? Damn, meeting such an awesome Take Over Mage, he couldn't help his blood boiling!

He clenched one fist, about to transform. Then, he stopped himself just in time. He had to go all-out right now, and he was all ready to. But such a strong mage, and an apparently honourable one... he couldn't think of this guy as just another enemy. Before he got serious, he had to ask.

'What's someone like you doing in a cult like this? You don't seem stupid of naive, and you don't seem like a bad guy. So why help revive some dark mage?'

"I owe Ari, she saved my life," the man scratched the back of his head a slight blush on his face, it was obvious it was more than just a debt, "She was different before, you might remember the old her,"

He thought Sniff was an opponent he could talk to, it surprised him, he never talked to any of his companions accept Ari, though lately she had changed drastically, and the little Laymia.

"I think Ari is not Ari anymore,' he murmured.

"I just wanted to find a place were I could belong," Trex whispered sadly before charging in shoving his shield like arm into Sniffs stomach, hid tail swished aimed for his back in the same spot he was aiming in his front.


"Light arrows," Ari bellowed aware she would not be able to overpower the celestial dragon slayer she shot the attack straight at Tora and her freind. Okami threw the scythe out of the way making her sister lose balance.

Laymia froze not understanding the risk she would be in. She looked straight at the smirking Ari with red eyes glittering with melace when she felt a weight throwing her out of the way.

"Isn't this kid your friend!" Okami growled holding the trembling Laymia an Tora. the little girl looked up at her savior as the light arrows which had piered her right shoulder, waist and left leg disappeared leaving the blood to ooze out of the wounds.

Ari's smirk grew wider, "I have no friends or family celestial dragon, I am but one hell of a demon,"

Was that really Ari?

A moment later, he had taken on a similar form to one he had used to beat Kureda, but with one addition. His legs, lower body and tail were blue and those of a kangaroo. His chest and arms were a silver gorilla's. Red antlers were on his head and a pink elephant's trunk extended from his face. 'I'm ending this!!' he roared.

Sniff sprang forward, landing just in front of Trex, legs bent, apparently ready to strike. Instead of attacking, he flicked his head, and his trunk tore up the floor between them. With the dust as cover, he leaped up into the the air, flipping upside down as he did so. His feet landed on the low ceiling of the room. He used that as a springboard to launch himself downward at Trex, punching hard at him with both of his long arms.

"You think we didn't try boy!" Trex growled angrily unlike his usual stoic self, he was however impressed by the boys takeover watching Sniff's movements with his green slitted dinosaur like eyes.

Sniff sprang forward, landing just in front of Trex, legs bent, apparently ready to strike. Instead of attacking, he flicked his head, and his trunk tore up the floor between them. With the dust as cover, he leaped up into the the air, flipping upside down as he did so. His feet landed on the low ceiling of the room. He used that as a springboard to launch himself downward at Trex, punching hard at him with both of his long arms.

"YOU THINK I DIDN'T TRY TO SAVE THE WOMAN I LOVED!" Trex roared covering his frame with the shield like arm, the boy managed to push him back a few metres his feet leaving talon like trail marks. He aimed his tail right at Sniffs punching arm with crushing force. He notice one of his shields triceratops horns had been nicked clean off and smiled happy to have a formidable opponent.
