Well New Years was my Birthday so I hoped it'd bring me luck with my rolls. Turns out it only went as far as the GSSR as I got Waver like I wanted there, and then 14 tickets and 240 Quartz for Musashi got me nothing

With the quartz that waz left I did a multi roll for mushi while I was washing my dishes AKA Manipulating water...

I think it's legit to call a GSSR pull where you get two of your most sought 5* Servants (of the available pool) "pulling a Jammin" now.

I believe I was first and second, actually. The first time I did it was the very first paid quartz summon in which I got Tamamo and Drake together. Now I got Tamamo and Sanzang. Wait.. now that I think about it. In the summer paid summons I got Tamamo too. And my good luck started during nerofest when I tried for Nero and good spooked by, you guessed it, another Tamamo.

So basically, I'm blessed by Tamamo.

In fact, statistically speaking...

Since I started playing this game about year and half ago. I've pulled a total of 12 five star servants.

• Mordred
• Altera
• Ishtar
• Drake
  
• Tamamo (x4)
  
• Sanzang (x2)
  
• Raikou
• Jalter

Which means 25% 33.3% of the time I pulled a five star... it's been Tamamo.

EDIT: I can't believe I somehow failed to calculate what the correct percentage 4 of 12 would be. How is that even possible? The key to EX Rank luck really must be stupidity.

Well, I pulled the Lancer GSSR because I liked all the characters on it, as well as their playstyle

Artoria as a AoE Spammer
Enkidu as Cu 2.0
And Karna as a generalist

Also all 3 had buster NPs which I now want to use Merlin

You know something I really enjoy about FGO and that continues to add a lot to game for me is discovering servants that may not be at the top of tier lists but are just the perfect one in certain teams your putting together or in certain situations.

The latest example of this for me has been Helena.

She's not a top tier four star by most assessments, including my own, and she was certainly never a servant I was targeting. Just randomly got her with Ishtar. But in my preferred Arts Caster team, alongside Sanzang and Tamamo, I've come to use her over a support Waiver or Merlin.

Because instead of granting a 3 turn attack or buster buff like they do she grants a slightly weaker 3 turn Arts, Quick, Buster buff. Which when combined with Sanzang's NP gen up and Star gen up grants huge bonus's to star generation and NP spamming. And with my max 2030 can provide 20 crit stars a turn on skill on top of whatever stars are there which skyrockets NP gain even further. AND can take advantage of Tamamo's Arts buff to do solid AOE damage and clear waves of mobs while throwing out a defense debuff that Sanzang can use to pummel tougher enemies. AND her 20% team wide NP battery is exactly the amount Sanzang needs to NP on turn 1 with a Black Grail.

So, though she's not the most powerful servant, in this very specific team her performance is as good or better than Waiver and Merlin in non-boss fight situations; which is most of the time. Because neither have NP's that do damage. And instead of buffing pure damage she augments the card effects along with the damage which in an general purpose arts team is what I want.

I agree with that
The fact that FGO makes EVERY unit somehow useful in at least one scenario speaks wonders of their game design, even if its simple.
Compare that to FEH where every unit can inheritu almost everything and there are so many useless people there that will never be viable.

Sure it was a spoiler but hotdanm, the most useless weak 1 star assasin, mata hari, pretty much broke the LAST BOSS of the gamr entire gimmick. Hot danm.

Im now enjoying building a more offensive tank team with Enkidu and Merlin. Enkidu gets loads of stars that make Merlin Crit and charge his Np faster.
I was able to keep +15% NP for 3 turns straight (that is stacking Merlins np 3 times) with Waver. Will soon try Tamamo

Yeah I did haha, it's a good run but between each it's felt very dry haha. 15 tickets and 336 quartz for Musashi was the 2nd most I've rolled for a servant after Scathach counting her last two banners I've rolled for I think, but I'm glad I've had some pop up when I have gone for them, although Coatl was a spook as I was going for Gorgon If you or anyone else would like anything specific up in my supports, let me know

I play all kinds of this games now. FGO was like a gateway drug for me. Though the only ones I ever stay with are the ones with a story element to them. That's the great thing about FGO it's basically an ongoing visual novel. The events are written kind of like side episodes and the main storyline a pretty robust Fate story.

You should take a look at Epic Seven. I started playing that recently and it feels very SquareEnix-y only it looks way better than pretty much anything I've seen. The animations are also like Avatar the Last Airbender level.

thats true im kinda a big square fan

i did try once to get into FGO but i wasnt able to get right into it for how much limited things you can do at the start, i already know that gacha games arent easy at the start but i just felt it was on an other lvl considering how hard it is to get quartz or should i say how long it takes to get a good amount, tho im up to playing it again ( ahem starting it i mean, i didnt even reach far ) if i can

i will look into Epic Seven maybe i will play it one day, but no promise. it does look interesting especially with what you said with the animations looking like Avatar the Last Airbender ( btw best cartoon )

about FFBE if i had to say, it does have a great story its just have a really really slow start, btw the characters that the story focuses on are all original ( well all those who are original have some kinda story if its in main or events )
and KHUX is not for everyone only fans that are dedicated and been long enough so im not even going to try with it.
