How could I forget THIS?!

Togashi got so fucking artsy during the Zoldyck arc. There's so much good imagery. I don't even know what to say. Gon's FACE... just look at his expression. Unwavering and so brutalized...this was the first time in which we'd ever seen anything like this in the series. So wordlessly POETIC! I really hope that the 2011 anime series does this scene justice.

Yea that is pobably hands down my favorite Gon panel in the manga, Popo. I first saw the 1999 anime, but after watching the series I had to hunt down that scene in the manga since its one of my favorites. And the manga version is just too amazing, its so brutal. I'm hoping we finally get a no holds bar version of that face.

Okay I'll contribute a favorite scene few seem to mention.

Moreso a favorite scene from 1999 Hunter, but its powerful in the manga too! During Yorkshin when antique appraiser Zepile gets complimented by Gon, he realizing why he wants to help them out so much. This is one of the cutest but subtle moments in the series to me, as an artist I can relate to having a piece of art touch someone else deeply and be touched by hearing them compliment it without realizing how special it actually was to me the whole time. I didn't like the episode in the anime at all at first, (being a collecting episode in the middle of Yorkshin arc) but its a defining scene of the series to me (both manga and 1999 anime)

So I finally got Volume 1 in the mail (along with more HxH volumes).

I've read it before online and checking the book out from the library
but it sure is nice to actually own the volume.

Anywho found myself a new favorite scene.

Favourite scenes in no particular order:

+ Pitou cradling Kaito's head in his lap (so shocking!)
+ Palm's dress made of butcher's knives (LOL)
+ Killua threatening Pufu with Kanmuru and frying bits of him
+ Killua after removing his needle and taking out Rammot (wow...Killua really did own this arc)
+ Netero's horror face frightening the King for the first time in his life
+ Komugi holding the dead Meruem
+ and of course....

Pariston's fortuitous win and immediate resignation, and the faces of the Zodiacs thereafter. After building up so much suspense about Pariston's intentions, and the importance of the election, his decision was probably one of the funniest scenes ever for me personally. And it placed Pariston among the upper echelon of manga trolls.

Hunting beyond is definitely going to be interesting.But the thing that really stand out in this page is the words at the bottom.This should be the most hated thing any fans but after going through so much hiatus,when I saw those words,I was actually smiling and cursing at the same time since I knew it woudl happen eventually.

I didn't really like Mereum x Komugi but seeing that panel would make anyone feel touched by their caring for each other.Their "love story" was still better to read than Twilight...

Couldn't agree more with you.The time was moving so slowly during those part.
I just hope that if the current anime ever make it to the chimera ant arc,they will do that part justice.

That's why I read the volumes. No hiatuses there...well except waiting for the NEXT volume.

It's going to be mother loving INTENSE when it's animated.
