Favourite Game Music

The Final Fantasy X has one of the best soundtracks ever in my opinion, but I'm vaguely obsessed with the undertale OST right now ahah!

90% of the music on my laptop is soundtracks, probably half of which are video games.

My favourite music of all time is the Final Fantasy IX soundtrack, but that's mostly because of nostalgic feels. Anything by Nobuo Uematsu is fantastic and I love the Final Fantasy orchestral and piano covers of all the FF game's music.

So besides the chiche of the FF series, I think what I've listened to the most recently is the Undertale OST. So simple yet so good!

I haven't checked previous pages, but Chrono Trigger's OST would be one of my all-time faves. Sure there are things like Zelda or Pokemon OSTs or from recent games, like Bastion/Transistor and Undertale that I play regularly, but none of them evoking the same feeling of nostalgia that I get when I listen to any of Chrono's theme.


I wish there's going to be a HD remake of this game

Motoi Sakuraba is one of my favorite video game composers. I liked him ever since I watched Gensoumaden Saiyuki, and he worked on Valkyrie Profile's soundtrack which happens to be one of my favorite RPGs and has one of my favorite soundtracks of all time.
And more recently he worked on the Dark souls series. Songs like this one:

Crysis trilogy has probably one of the best music sets I have ever heard in games. Mass effect also has pretty good music, when it comes to music with some lyrics not just the orchestra type the Need For Speed usually come with some pretty decent music. FIFA used to have very good music but nowadays they just drop whatever so I think quality has dropped quite a bit.

It's from Brotherhood of Assassin's Creed series.I love the Ezio trilogy and Jesper Kyd's composition was pretty good in all the three but the one I posted above takes the cake.The music is spot on with respect to the game's setting and it makes the game more fun to play.Some people might find it boring but I love it.

I really enjoy listening to the soundtracks from Ori and The Blind Forest and Child of Light. Listening to them everytime when I am sad, I need to relax or I am reading some books. Really emotional - just like both those games.

I've been replaying Twilight Princess HD again recently, and I have to say this always tickles me in the right places when it plays. Great atmosphere imo, and one of the best tracks the game has to offer.
