Many people do hit midlife crisis in their early teen years as noobs. Then they realize couple of years later that it was a false alarm when they hit it in their early twenties, only to see that they have been deceived again.
And again, till they run out of life force, they will think they hit a midlife crisis, realize it was for nothing, and then fall back to the same pit next time.
Humans are interesting creatures.

I will call this the circle of self-awareness. It doesn't lead to a certain location, so, it's a round tunnel that you can magically fall in, only to never be able to get out, even when you think you are finally out.
