I swear every time someone wants to talk shit about too many non-UEFA/CONMEBOL teams in the competition shit like this happens
Interestingly enough, the CONMEBOL teams are yet to win a game at the tournament. Brazil, Uruguay, Paraguay, Ecuador all winless.

Big result for Egypt too
They should have won. Belgium are a shell of what they once were. Though with the new third place rules, qualifying has become easier somewhat.

4 draws in one match day? Last time that happened was in 1958 :amuse

Right, and by my last tally, UEFA teams have a total of 14 points out of a possible 30

Oh that is lower than I expected :blink

Which region has the highest points tally so far? Asia?

Games today don't look very tasty. France vs Senegal is good one, but the rest are somewhat not very exciting. Senegal coming off the back of an AFCON win (And all the Morocco post final drama as well). Will be very interesting to see how their play translates at the world cup (Continental champions as well, much like Spain)

Tomorrow though :kukuku Been waiting for a week, think all of the games tomorrow I will catch.

Argentina's game is today huh, Lord knows I'm ready for Messi ball.

Need to see those insane passes and through balls slice through the defence like butter cause it seems absolutely nobody in these past few games know how to string a through ball.

With France's win its 17 out of a possible 33. Most points after that is 8 from African teams out of 21. Best percentage after UEFA is CONCACAF surprisingly though, 7 points out of 15. For Asia, they've earned 7 points out of 18.

Still think it's interesting since I need to see how teams like Norway and Argentina are playing early in this tourney.

Jordan and Austria was entertaining.

Jordan Goal keeper was shaky, He even got more shaky when he got hit in the face. At many points in the match i thought he is scared of the ball. I predicted 2-1 Austria but the universe must intervene to change the odds. Austria got a Penalty at the last sec and scored the 3rd. :catshrug

Both Senegal and Algeria losing by 3 goals :oh
Senegal game was depressing because they should have been 2-0 up by half time (Sarr is such a wasteful forward, goodness gracious). Mane was also playing in midfield for some absurd reason.
Still rooting for them to make it out though.
Algeria have just been a waste of space since 2019. No new superstars aside from a washed Mahrez (How they have never found a player to replace him is also another anomaly)

Still think it's interesting since I need to see how teams like Norway and Argentina are playing early in this tourney.
Argentina? Messi should have been sent off, what's left to say  :pjsalt

Jokes aside their group is ridiculously easy. Should be an easy 9 points for Argentina.

France vs Norway seems more promising.

I'm not watching much of this but was surprised we won and more so that we got 2 goals. Double decker 0-0 draws is all I was expecting from the Socceroos yet we showed that our sausage roll is bigger than their shish kebab.

The US are heavy favourites with some electric attack it seems, so we should be using our standard haramball set up of 5-5-0. A nice double decker bus to show our Kangaroo league can rival the Burger league. Did see some US media people trash us which I can agree with, but, they need to stay humble. They were talking like they're Zlatan but they are not on his level, they resemble Arteta. 0-0 haramdraw will humble them. If we get beaten we need to bring Big Ange back as manager, give him that third season he promised us after giving Spurs a trophy.

There's only 1 or 2 guys that start that are in the burger league, mind you. Our keeper and old-man Ream now.

I've only seen people bring up Grella's comments and he's a nobody. No one else is really discounting Australia, but for some reason I've seen players bringing up invisible nay-sayers in the media. Whatever you got to do to get up for a match, I guess.

Croatia goal keeper is real good, Imagine if Jordon goal keeper swapped places with him. I think England would score 7+ goals

Mexico wasn't anything special either, insanely lucky to win your group just because the keeper couldn't hold onto the ball because his own defender was in the way.

South Korea should have been the strongest, but they've been rather mid. Son is a shell of his former self. Maybe you can blame the altitude somewhat, idk.

All three hosts through to the next round :amuse

Very impressed by USA this tournament. Most dominant I've seen them at the world cup in ages. Then again Pochettino was always a decent coach, from this world cup it's becoming evident that experienced coaches are the best bets to lead countries in world cups (Tuchel another one as well)

On a side note, I love this gif to absolute bits :XD

Australia was pretty underwhelming after what I saw with them against Turkey. I feel like route 1 football would be a perfect way to exploit the US's weaknesses but the coach benched both goalscorers from the first match. Very puzzling to me.

I still don't feel super optimistic against a team that actually plays football and can counter efficiently, but so far the group stage has gone as good as it could have for us

USA are decent underdogs. Not seeing them go far but they can create a true surprise, they have the means for it.

Looking forward to Morocco’s game against Scotland.
