I think if England survives until the first cooling break the game will be theirs to lose.

It's definitely padded against a lot of whatever teams, but Belgium, Soviet Union, Brazil in a Confed Cup. My point is lungs are lungs, if you don't play at altitude or have time on your side you will be affected by it. Even if England travels tonight they only have 3 days, that's not enough IMO.

I think England needs to score before then, Mexico has a similar defense to Congo, but they're better at scoring IMO.

Yeah, quinto partido curse is over. Idk, but Mexico will only play at home through quarterfinals since the semifinals are in Dallas and Atlanta. But in the QFs they'd face Brazil/Norway winner, so those teams could have the same kind of issues. However, it's not really a new experience for Brazil since they have to go through the same issues when playing Bolivia away. Brazil/Norway also get 1 more day of rest between matches compared to what England will get.

Unfortunately every single country has insufferable fans. Recently I went to some post match discussion and saw a lot of bad fans from Brazil talking trash in the dumbest ways imaginable. But that doesn't change me rooting for Brazil. Some insufferable pricks will get their kicks/validation from their team winning, whether it be the ones in England or France or wherever, doesn't really matter. Forget the fans, enjoy the players.
