He's good but very low on the pecking order. Was also called as backup for LB. I think he can probably play in the final minutes whenever De Paul (for example) gets tired

Unfortunately every single country has insufferable fans. Recently I went to some post match discussion and saw a lot of bad fans from Brazil talking trash in the dumbest ways imaginable. But that doesn't change me rooting for Brazil. Some insufferable pricks will get their kicks/validation from their team winning, whether it be the ones in England or France or wherever, doesn't really matter. Forget the fans, enjoy the players.

Ah Sanse said most things lmao. But yeah, imo it's like how Senegal lost. Damn luck for them, the guy went for the ball and hit the attacker that was also aiming for the ball, the intent doesn't matter there cause he took risks and that was the consequence of it, it was a faulty movement as well. That Bosnian player didn't end up with some serious injury out of sheer luck.

If it's incidental or not it doesn't matter if it's reckless. Balogun tries to win the position against the opponent knowing full well he's there, spreading himself and because of it he clumsily lands on the opponent with his full weight. It's reckless. He didn't have to do that to "land on the ground".

Marcelo got a red card breaking the leg of a player in a Libertadores match and I'm not sharing it because it's gruesome af but it was an accident and a very clear red even if the leg hadn't been broken.

If the rules reinforce the idea that it's better to go to the ground and embellish something, instead of staying upright and actually playing the sport, then it goes against the nature of sport and the rules that exist to protect players IMO.

I don't see how accidentally planting your leg in a terrible place is "reckless". It's not as if he was trying to walk up someone's back, or stepping on him to gain an advantage, he simply just stepped in the wrong spot. The player wasn't hurt and he continued to play.

The letter of the law can be what it is and whatever interpretation you want to use, there's no universe where an incident such as that takes place and the player deserves to miss match for it. Will never agree.

I am never accepting Bluetooth offsides as part of the beautiful game.

Not even sure the ball can detect hair lol. The player probably touched the ball with the head and we just cannot see it precisely in detail.

I much rather have "unfair" situations like this one than straight up robbery like it used to happen. We can have a neverending discussion about a barely touched ball or a 1mm offside being called and the attacker having no advantage from it whatsoever, and that not being the spirit of either rule, but it's much better than any alternative presented and I much rather things being as objective as possible than relying on the good will of a ref. Overall I think technology has been used well in this WC.

My biggest gripe is having the WC in a country that doesn't give a shit and already hosted it rather recently but welp money. Also the betting ads break I mean cooling break.
