Misc Attempt First Attempt Cleaning

This is my first attempt at cleaning I didn't do the boarder yet but I wanted to know if you guys think I did a good job keeping the black, black and the white, white.

yes, the blacks are good but if you invert the image you can see there are some specks on those...
but thisi is not the main problem!
the real problem is that you over filtered the iega, destroying the grey parts, plus the image size is too small, I think 1200 or 1300 px height shoul be good.
you also cropped too much one the left and on the bottom, cropping should just remove the black parts on the border of the image, i think you should look at
some tutorial

and the burn the black with burn tool set with "shadows"
try to look at the precleaning tutorials on this site http://senbonzakura.kageyoshi.net/ (just level the black some more then they do, because they aim to HQ)
