Ok, this is my first time translating, and I have two quick questions about how I translated them into English.
First is あ~~~~いたたたた.

It is obviously about a character in pain, but I'm not sure how I should translate into English.
I came up with "Aaaaaaaah. It hurts..."
Would that be an acceptable translation?

And my second is なんでさぁ。。今頃家建てたの?
I came up with "Now why.. has the house only been built now?" Is that also an acceptable translation?

I just need some clarification from some veterans because it's my first time, and I want to make sure I'm on the right track.

Thanks!

Edit: I have a third question. What exactly does こんなもん mean? The sentence in question is まあ。。。こんなもんか。

Sounds fine to me.

JP txt is 建てたの(did you build) not 建てられたの (was built), so the speaker seems to be talking to the owner of the house. I would use active voice rather than passive.

What exactly does こんなもん mean? The sentence in question is まあ。。。こんなもんか。
 Rephrasing まあ、こんなもんか=まあ、こんなものか=まあ、この程度のものか=(大したものではないな)

So would "Now why.. did you guys only build the house now?" be fine then?

Regarding こんなもんか, the basic meaning of this phrase is along the lines of "This is not a big deal."? Am I on the right track?

Thanks.

Why ...
So, why ..

Your TL sounds fine to me as long as chosing the right "you" (singular or plural).

Well, it's kind of hard to tell. If the speaker is talking about what s/he did, it can be something like "I guess this is good enough. " for example. If s/he is talking about something else, then it could be anything from "I should have expected this" to "That's about right." Context would change how to translate the line.

Sorry for not responding, I've been pretty busy irl. But the context was that the speaker was commenting that the house was smaller than she had assumed. Thanks for all the help.

The literal translation of まあ。。。こんなもんか is something like 'Well, it's like this?' or 'well, this is it.'. As mikkih says, it's kind of a rhetorical question. まあ is a sort of verbal pause, like when people begin an explanation with 'well...'.

So if you want to translate it properly, imagine a friend of yours has invited you to their house and you imagine a 2 or 3 room townhouse. Then you walk in, expecting them to give you a tour but it's so small you can see it all from the doorway. Your friend looks expectantly at you and you need to be polite about their house. That's exactly what I believe your character is doing, giving a polite 'well, this is your house?'.
