Basic info:

One climbs the Tower by passing through a number of Floors. Each one contains different tests... Rulers are the overlords of a floor. Always someone of at least High Ranker status. May be called different things, depending on floor (“President, ‘Boss “Chief’ etc.). Rulers rule with the permission and consent of the Guardians.

The First Floor of The Tower, also known as Headon's Floor, is the floor of the tower in which those who enter are tested by the Guardian, Headon. The test in question is usually fairly easy, but can be altered in difficulty as Headon sees fit.

This floor has no Ruler.

Floor two of the Tower is also known as Evankhell's floor or the floor of tests. The floor is publically known as a place to find the talented but its true purpose is to maintain the safety of the tower. In the past it was a floor with simple tests like any other, but the intrusion of certain irregulars such as Urek and Phantaminum caused the people that ruled the tower to feel insecure. In order maintain their power the floor of tests was made into a place where 'dangerous elements' could be weeded out before they could become a real threat to the rulers of the tower.

Ruler: Evankhell

Guardian: Second Floor Guardian [name unknown]

Director/Proctor: Yu Han Sung

Test Administrators: Leo-Ro, Quant, Yu Han Sung, Ren, Hax, Yu Bok-Dol

Position Managers: Wave Controller: Ren, Fisherman: Hax, Spear Bearer: Yu Bok-Dol, Scout: Quant, Light Bearer: Leo-Ro

Regulars Test Assistant: Yellow, Mr. Neonbag

The Seventy-Seventh Floor of the Tower.

Ruler: Formerly Urek Mazino, now Backryun

Main Test: ???

This is the base of Walhaiksong, a group said to make an influence in the Tower equivelant to that of the 10 Great Families .

The Hundredth Floor of the Tower.

Ruler: Arie Hon

Main Test: So far unknown. Urek Mazino was made to withstand Arie's attacks for 10 minutes.

The One-Hundred and Thirty-Fourth Floor of The Tower.

Ruler: Zahard

Main Test: N/A

Currently the final Floor of The Tower, where those deserving the title are granted the postition of Ranker and are showered with everything they could possibly want.

The Guardians are spiritual beings that rule over their floors. They give tests to the Regulars to have come to their floors.

Guardians are nearly united to the Shinsoo on their floors, and have ultimate control over it. They have existed from the ancient times, and they ruled over as the strongest beings in the Tower for a long time. After Enryu killed a Guardian, it was widely known that the Guardians could die, too, but they are still the ultimate beings in the Tower.

Every Guardian from 1st to the 134th floor made a contract with King Jahad, but the Guardians above 134th floor still have no interaction with the humans, and they punish those who climb their floors.

Guardians cannot leave their floors with the exception of Headon, the Guardian of the 1st floor. He is the only one who can visit all floors from the 1st to the 134th floor.

There is no Guardian in the 43th floor since Enryu killed him, so regulars may pass this floor without a test.

Headon is the Guardian of the First Floor.

Although Guardians can't desert their floors, Headon is the only Guardian who can visit other floors from the 1st to the 134th. He is also one of the vetaran Guardians in the Tower. Headon is the one selecting the Regulars, and because Regulars go straight to the Second Floor when they come into the Inner Tower, they don't get to see him.

The Second Floor Guardian is the unnamed Guardian of the Second Floor. It resembles a gigantic grey eel. It first appears in the story when it makes a contract with Baam allowing him to use Shinsoo.

The guardian asked Baam what he was looking into so deeply. He then asked him if he wanted to make a contract, or fight with him. When Baam replied that he wants to make a contract the Guardian looked at him to see if he is worthy to use shinsoo. It then said that he looked tasty, smirked at him, and formed a contract.

After he was done making a contract he left with the cryptic comment "But remember ye who climbs the tower, this is not your power but your shackle. Always remember."

Well... I just made this thread because of Headon! This guy is becoming one of my favorites characters, it looks like he has his own agenda and it is hard to predict his actions and motivation.... That is why he is in my sign! XD

Another character I would like to see soon is Evankhel, the ruler of second floor. Evan said before that they were lucky Evankhell wasn't there or his gang wouldn't be able to enter the second floor easily... This guy must be a monster, I wonder if everything Yu Han Sung does has his approval...

Ah~ I used to think that Yu Han Sung is actually the guardian of the floor, not merely a director. XD So that means Han Sung is actually a 'free' Ranker who helps with the tests on that floor?

I wonder in what circumstances the rulers would show themselves. They delegate the job to guardians, thus more or less making their existence somehow unimportant. Even more when it seems that, for example, Han Sung manipulated the tests on his own... >__<

I think Guardians delegate thier job to ruler, unless a irregular request a test directely from the guardian (which should be more difficult in theory).

I don't know how rulers act but I think Evankhell must be lazy and let the director do his job, I read somewhere that he is really tall so maybe I'm just relating him to Aokiji in my mind! XD

Arie Hon tested Urek Mazino personally, but I don't know if he does that always or he did that just because Urek was a strong dude... Probably the latter since the test would be too hard for a normal ranker...

I wonder what floor does Koon's father rules...

Floors

There´s a question in my mind for a long time, maybe i´m the only one who don´t really understand it, so if someone could clear it up for me?

There is always the talk about the familys climbing the tower and that 134F is the last open one, where you have to reach to get what you want and be ranked, but that is not really the "roof" or the top is it? Because I read that after 134F there is 135F and more? So if it isn´t the roof, who grants the wishes of the climbers? And how can Lahel see the real stars? Also how many Floors are there really? And finally, where was Baam before he started climbing the tower, outside?

Hope this questions aren´t too stupid :D

We saw the turning point of the story on floor 20, where everything started anew, with season 2. Personally I really liked the art of this floor, why first I didn't know what to expext, but after seeing Viole I was wow, than slowly realizing that he is Baam, I was :yay

Next time there is going to be floor 25. How might SIU, the author play with our minds is unknown, but I must admit it, finding anything even remotely similar to ToG to read is almost imposibile.

For me reading ToG is simply said refreshing...:amuse
