I'd be inclined to think an Admiral must be stronger than a Shichibukai (else how could you possibly keep them in line?), but I have a hard time seeing Fujitora win this. I guess it's hard to picture in general how to stop Doflamingo's immobilizing techniques while he could probably use his strings to slide around even if Fujitora had him pressed down with gravity.

Can Fujitora avoid the strings? Push them away with gravity? Have haki strong enough not to be sliced by them?

Thoughts?

We saw Law blocking the strings with his sword, a stronger individual like Issho should be able to do that as well. I can't imagine Doflamingo escaping gravity with strings.

That's the case I think of a battle scenario. If it's power levels we're talking about, then as we can tell from the Manga, Issho is easily stronger.

I would not say "Issho is easily stronger". He is a bit stronger but not by much as for what manga suggested.

It would be pretty hard fight for both but I still give Issho victory most of times as Doflamingo backed off from fight with Aokiji back on Punk Hazard. He didnt wanted to risk fight with somebody who is AT LEAST as strong as him or most probably a tad bit stronger.
Law said to Joker when they talked through den den mushi that if Mr J would fight with Kaido it would be a fierce battle and J would be wiped out.
So Law knows that Kaido is top yet Doflamingo would give even an Emperor a battle. So all in all I would put Doflamingo as a tiny bit under Admirals as they seem to be close to Yonko strength being top of Marine forces.

We have to see more from both- Dofla and Issho to even start to speculate how fight would be looking and how long would it be.

We don't know how a Yonkou would fair against an Admiral. Law also implied that the Admirals can very well take out DD. And when he met Issho for the first time, not only did he refer to him as beast, but also implied that he would be "Scared shitless" if the Admiral was coming after him. That and him actually being scared shitless from just seeing Issho's warm up is enough for me to put him a good deal above DD.

Also, in my personal opinion, I put the Golden Age Admirals above the current ones.

It was a bit of irony from Doflamingo- comment about being scared shitless. Beside Doflamingo more likely commented on that if he would quit Warlords he would be at loosing site as there would be Law + Fujitora against him. It ended up opposite as Law planned so it was Fuji + Doflamingo vs Law.

And dont add up when it comes to Joker seeing Isshos warm up. He was rather angry at Fujitora for him NOT WATCHING(pun intedned) at what he is doing/who he is attacking- calling Fuji stray mutt. Remember that Doflamingo also laughed in face of Kuzan after breaking out of his ass-icing.

Admirals faired very well against old Whitebeard not going all out though. So against Yonko imo any Admiral has chances of winning, not great but some they do have.

Golden Age is in the past. New Admirals are facing same kind of problems like old ones as now number of pirates is growing. There is simply more "history" behind older generation. History for current generation of Admirals is being made in a way now. Garp was a legend, Sengoku was nominated as fleet Admiral- Akainu now is one. No reason to hype old generation over new as all they did was play same roles- fighting Yonko level pirates and commanding whole Marines. Same old same old..

Also Kuzan said that Akainu should dispatch AdmiralS to Dressrosa to deal with Joker and his crew. Difference cant be big if it takes Admiral to take down Doflamingo, not any of Vice Admirals. Plus second Admiral to deal with his crew.

Law calling him out for lying shows that DD was supposed to actually be scared shitless if Issho was after him. And he specifically said "Hey! Law! Look, an Admiral is here!" So he was definitely that he would be in trouble from the Admiral alone not Law+Admiral.

He needed a towel when he saw Issho pull down a meteor. And his yelling was because of how stressed he was(since he could've died in that attack). he didn't laugh in his face, he was breathing heavily from just breaking out of a simple attack(done by a calm Kuzan with his hands in his pocket). He simply left because he knew Kuzan won't insist on killing him. There's also the fact that Sakazuki was confident that Issho can take out Doflamingo, Law and Luffy by himself.

Akainu, Kizaru and Aokiji are the Golden Age of Piracy Admirals I was talking about, not Garp or Sengoku.

He said that because he doesn't know who will be sent. Law also said AdmiralS will come after DD, but only Issho came to beat the piss out of all them.

I said that Issho is stronger than Doflamingo but not by far. Your reasoning in my opinion is a bit of exaggeration to what you prefer to see instead of what was really happening.
Akainu does not know how strong Luffy is. Beside even if he would be sure that Isshou can take out those 3 then Im sure he didnt mean all of them in one moment. In my opinion Doflamingo and Law working together would be enough to take out Issho. Putting all hype of admirals aside both of them have really haxed powers and are very strong- Doflamingo as Top Vice Admirals and Law at least stronger than Smoker and Vergo(or more capable in combat so to say).

Dont make Issho look like he is impossible to beat.

Also as for Kuzan freezing Doflamingo- they were close to each other and Flamingo had his back wide open on Admiral. If it would be Akainu then he wouldnt risk.
You seen what Kuzan is able to do in seconds when somebody puts his guard down for a moment when Jozu fought him. Also Doflamingos haki helped him not to get really frozen like Jozu had been. Aokiji also didnt insisted on fighting with Doflamingo as if he would fight and take out Doflamingo back in Punk Hazard he would save a lot of problems for marines. Doflamingo came out of Kuzans freezing without any damage at all.

Its clear that Doflamingo is closer to Admiral combat power than anyone else that we seen in action in last two arcs. He is as close to Admiral as possible still being a bit under one.

As for Golden Age Admirals I misunderstood.
So the one that underestimated Doflamingo was Akainu. Both Kuzan and Law have more DIRECT informations about New World underworld and Doflamingo.
Joker with crew is far too much for one Admiral to handle.

No, I'm sure my reasoning is just fine.
Akainu is not stupid, if he doesn't know how strong Luffy is, he knows about Law and DD. I also don't think he was meant to take them all out at once(though that can still possibly happen). If I learned something from OP, it's that hype> haxxed powers.

I'm not making him look impossible to defeat, I'm just stating what we see. You're the one overrating Doflamingo by saying two Admirals are needed to deal with him. Two Admirals are probably enough to take on\out a Yonkou crew.

The point is, Kuzan was calm as hell, while Doflamingo was breathing heavy from just breaking out of that small attack. Kuzan was no longer a Marine, he has no obligation to fight DD at all. DD on the other hand, had to resort to fooling the entire world(and maybe risk Kaido and Big Mom coming to Dressrosa) instead of fighting Kuzan. Shows where he stands.

I'm well aware that he's the closest character to an Admiral(in the last two arcs at least), but still pretty far.

Only a Yonkou crew would need more than an Admiral to deal with it. One Admiral with one battleship will obliterate DD and his crew. We've seen Akainu alone scare a two DF wielding Teach and his elite crew.

Just a correction- I wrote that Doflamingo with his crew is too much to handle for one Admiral. Real my post till end.
All I dont agree with you is one thing- you make gap between Fujitora and Joker to be bigger than it is. Its really small.

As for Kuzan situation- if he can use his connection like he shown what would be the point of risking with his life against Kuzan?
You repeating that Joker breathed heavy while Kuzan was all cool so to say. He was but just for seconds after he broke out of ice. Freezing has also suffocating effect if you forgotten :3c

He was breathing heavy not out of fatigue as if that would be the case he would do so on more than one panel.

Give this arc more time and you will see that Doflamingo is ALMOST as strong as Admiral, behind only by very small margin.
His underling was Vergo- probably one of strongest Vice Admirals in series. Law beaten Vergo and wasnt able to beat Doflamingo. So Joker is at least two steps above stronge Vice Admiral that was boss of Marines Base G5 in New World.

Doflamingo has aspiration of being Pirate King and he is very well prepared to make his move in some time. He had Vergo and his top 3 Seats(Diamante- one of those- is expected by Doflamingo to be at least as strong as Burgess) as main force and plenty other fighters that are more than capable. One Admiral is not enough for that group as its not as far behind Yonko crew as you seem to think.

This argument about the number of Admirals required to take down DD and his crew seems kind of out there, considering that DD's crew has little to do with own ability. Fujitora alone probably wouldn't be enough to bring down the entire SH crew, but that doesn't mean that Luffy's operating on the same level as he is. And this comparison of DD's crew to the crew of a Yonkou seems completely out of place. I particularly don't get this two Admirals taking out a Yonkou crew, where did this come from? There are so many problems with this statement. And furthermore, this logic that states that Law defeating Vergo, supposedly one of the most powerful VAs, and his subsequent defeat to DD indicates that DD is very close to the ability of Fujitora is pretty shoddy.

How'd we come to the conclusion that these two are near to one another, in terms of power. By sheer status and reputation, Fujitora should be assumed to be significantly superior. In terms of what they've shown, the difference doesn't seem to be overly large, but then we've barely seen Fujitora in battle. That's what we have at the moment. This talk about Yonkou crews and the such seems out of place and is entirely irrelevant, particularly considering that the one Yonkou crew we've seen in action would absolutely stomp DD and his crew.

We'll see...

But know that Akainu alone scaring a crew that should be much more powerful than DD's crew is a proof enough that one Admiral is enough to take out DD and his crew. Saying that the difference between DD and an Admiral is a "very small margin" is just exaggerating.

Thanks for giving an opinion on post that you seemed to not fully "feel" now this kind of response is totally out of place if you dont back it up with some argumentation:p
I wrote that Doflamingos crew is not far behind Yonkos crew. BEHIND. So its not equal. Duh.
And you respond like I am stating its same.
As for what we have seen till now considering Yonko crew in action- most of commanders were not able to stop seriously wound Akainu. Only Whitebeard himself was able to hurt him. There was quite a few of commanders stalling Akainu and nothing more. Two Admirals working together should be able to take care of this kind of crew. But Marines have to use them very strategicaly- like rare weapons. It would be a slaughter if we would have 3 Admirals vs Whitebeard pirates only(outcluding Ace). There was like 50 ships at marineford back in war. So Warlords and elite marines had a lot of work.

Its not like Marines had to balance out just WB pirates but also all forces from New World that came with them. When it came to 1 on 1 as we seen only Whitebeard was superior to an Admiral(at least in healthy state). Marco, Jozu, Vista were good but not good enough to deal with any of Admirals. Instead Marco and Jozu fallen- circumstancial or not, they fallen after one opening. Only Whitebeard did not. Marco was closest beside Joker that I have seen when it comes to someone under level of combat power that an Admiral has. I take them both as same caliber of fighters.

For me seats of Doflamingo are shown to be around of strength that Law presented till now so they are most likely stronger than Vice Admiral like Smoker. Multiply it times 3, add Vergo and you have quite a force. As I said before Doflamingo is almost as strong as Admiral and I will hold to this opinion. His crew is like smaller version of Yonko crew.

Fujitora wins fight with Doflamingo but not by ownage- by pretty long, uneasy battle and he doesnt come out of it unscathed.

We'll see...

I didnt seen Whitebeard crew scared. I seen that they were not capable of heavily wounding/ stopping Akainu.
Also I wait for confirmation of another thing- that all of Doflamingos crew has Devil Fruit powers. It would add up to their overal combat ability in my opinion. Doflamingo is after best stuff.

As for very small margin I admit that I exaggerated it in heat of discussion- I should have used "by small margin" :e3 :p

I meant BB's crew.

I still think it's a big margin. Maybe DD could get a few hits on an Admiral, but he will get merked in the end.

Oh sorry:darn

Burgess two years ago was fodder compared to Ace who lost to Blackbeard. Van Augur also. As for doc and rest its clear. So it would be Blackbeard and Shiryu of the Rain vs Akainu- too big risk to take for Blackbeard that just gotten Whitebeards power and has gotten strongest underling that he couldnt really fully trust from what was shown. Now I do thing that just two of them would beat the crap out of Admiral. Also it will be crazy good to see Shiryu closer to end of story when Luffy will be as strong as Yonko, Zoro in league with Admiral- then Shiryu should be in top shape.

That Shiryu vs Fujitora would be amazing.

If I am wrong and Doflamingo will be shown later in this arc to be a lot weaker than Admiral/ not ready to take one on then I will openly admit that I was in the wrong and you were closer to how it is KingOfNight.

And did I once suggest that you said they were the same, I stated that the comparison was pointless as a factor in determining how DD compares to Fujitora; and it is. And your suggestion that DD's crew isn't far behind a Yonkou's crew is baseless, particularly considering that we've only seen one Yonkou crew in action and we haven't seen DD's top fighters take action. Furthermore, from what has been shown of DD's ability and the abilities of some of his other crewmembers, the Yonkou crew we've seen, that is Whitebeard's crew, would completely annihilate them. It isn't close, there isn't anything to suggest that, the manga has, in fact, painted a completely different picture.

The problem I have with this is using Akainu as a basis for the power of an Admiral when it's been suggested that he was the most powerful of the original three. Whitebeard's crew elite showed themselves to be capable of standing against Admirals; see Marco and Jozu. So your argument indicates that you think Aokiji and Kizaru would be able to take on Marco, Jozu, Vista, Ace, Blamenco, Rakuyu, Namur, Blenheim, Curiel, Kingdew, Haruta, Atmos, Jiru, Fossa, and Izo, and their entire divisions. Really? They'd have to get serious against the first two names on that list alone. Your argument is ridiculous, and completely at odds with the manga.

Marco was closest beside Joker that I have seen when it comes to someone under level of combat power that an Admiral has. I take them both as same caliber of fighters.
And that was why there were the Shichibukai, who contributed quite a bit. If they weren't there, the battle would've turned out a lot differently. It wasn't just the marines against Whitebeard and his allies. Your comments about the division commanders make note of the circumstances that lead to their defeats, I don't see the reason in addressing your claims about how they compare to the Admirals.

For me seats of Doflamingo are shown to be around of strength that Law presented till now so they are most likely stronger than Vice Admiral like Smoker. They're shown to be around the strength of Law? And this is based on what? And how does four VA-level individuals get you near to the strength of a Yonkou crew? I mean if it was this easy to take on the crew of a Yonkou, I can't imagine what's been stopping the Marines from cleaning up the NW. And as I said before, your opinion is based on faulty logic.

Ace was pretty strong back then, so we can't really tell. Burgess did, if I recall correctly, take attacks from both Garp and Sengoku and was still laughing. It's not just Shiryuu and Teach, there's also all those supposedly incredibly dangerous level 6 prisoners with him. You're underestimating Admirals too much. They are the justice equivalent of the Yonkou.

Deal. If DD shows himself to be close to an Admiral, I will state that I was wrong then and there.

Burgess tanked attack from Garp only in anime.
Also one more thing- it was shown that BB crew during Marineford War wasnt killed by Sengoku + Garp combined.
Two fighters slightly under level of Admiral combined were not able to beat/overwhelm Blackbeard and his crew.
So why one Admiral should be capable of beating Doflamingo, his seats and rest of crew.

Impossibility - as for Law and comparing him to Doflamingo Seats, they seem to me to be only slightly under Doflamingo himself. Same as Zoro and Sanji are slightly one and two steps under Luffy. Law was shown as only a bit under Doflamingo overally so I put him and Seats at same measure so to say. Remember that Laws ability tires him more he uses it and he tried to conserve as much as possible when he was going to Green Bit he even avoided fighting flying fish to preserve what he can as he planned to go against Doflamingo. Then he fallen for Doflamingos trap and had to fight Admiral and Joker only by himself. That depleated him a lot so when he was fighting on bridge he was tired already. Last scene where we seen him he was out of breath mostly. More tired you are, more your rection time gets longer and overal fighting capabilities drop.
I said that Doflamingos crew is behind Yonkos crew. Thats all.
Also Doflamingo expected likes of Lao G to be able to hold his ground against Burgess, Bartolomeo or Luffy. He is also quite sure that Diamante is more than enough to handle those fighters. Even if he is wrong that speaks volumes about how strong seats must be.

What makes you think that Blamenco, Rakuyu, Namur, Blenheim, Curiel, Kingdew, Haruta, Atmos, Jiru, Fossa, and Izo are so special? Do you take every one of them as strong as Law? Because I dont.
Ace, Jozu, Vista and Marco are threats. Rest is not comparable to Doflamingo Seats. Doflamingo made fodder out of Atomos. He was also capable of stopping Jozu without much effort, standing on him and smiling. Jozu was capable of fighting Aokiji for some time so difference between Doflamingos crew is same as difference between his strength and for example Kaido. There is clear difference but they are not fodders. Law said himself that it would be a fierce battle between Kaido and Doflamingo if Doffy would anger Kaido. Joker would get wiped out but it would be a fierce battle, not straight up ownage. Im just against idea of one Admiral being enough of dealing with Jokers crew and making them not as dangerous as they are.

KingOfNight- one new tought came to me. It was said that stronger somebody gets stronger that persons DF ability is. So if Doflamingo was able to stop Jozu with his devil fruit and we didnt seen Jozu being able to move even slightest bit, he just gotten pissed with vein on his head at Doflamingo that means than as person Doflamingo probably is overally stronger than Jozu. Jozu who lost to Admiral but he put up a fight.

They seem to be........based on what. Is there a statement suggesting that, some feats? Anything? I don't doubt that Law was tired against DD, but what does this have to do with the seats?

I said that Doflamingos crew is behind Yonkos crew. Thats all.

Really? Because your last post stated that they were 'not that far behind'. DD was also certain that Vergo would stomp Law, so I don't see what you're getting at. And how does Bartolomeo get into this? DD's thoughts on Diamante's abilities are just that, thoughts on Diamante's abilities, that doesn't extend to the other seats. And we've seen how DD's predictions pan out; see Law v Vergo.

They're division commanders, they're obviously special enough. And my point was that these individuals along with their subordinates would be fighting alongside the four other division commanders against these two Admirals, who you stated would be enough to bring the entire crew down, which I'm sure you've realised, once put in context, is ridiculous. And how do you come to the conclusion that the other division commanders aren't a match for DD's seats, based on what? There isn't anything to suggest that, nothing whatsoever. And for the record, I don't think one Admiral would be enough to take out DD's crew, but that doesn't mean that they're operating on the same level as the Yonkou.

And as I said earlier, the strength of DD's crew compared to that of a Yonkou's crew isn't any indication of how he would compare to Fujitora.

I am simply replying to your posts as they go. Its not my fault that by trying replying to all you write I am getting further away from point of this thread.
That many of Whitebeard commanders was not able to do almost anything against wounded Akainu. Also Akainus main target was Ace, not even going after all commanders. Make him healthy, add to him another Admiral and there you have it. Only WB was capable enough to heavily damage Admiral- nor Marco nor Jozu or Vista were capable of this, they didnt had power to do it. All of Admirals powers have wide area of effect and are deadly. Two Admirals concentrated on fighting together and taking out WB commanders would do short work out of most of them. Thats all and finish rest after struggle as WB crew was not any real threat to life of an Admiral. Whitebeard was only one. If not for Jozu once he would get some holes in him against Kuzan at very start of fight.
I feels that this goes nowhere and I can respect your different opinion and I wont call any of what you say to be ridiculous. Think whatever you want about my view. Its a waste of time to contiue this. Also its not proper place for discussing WB pirates vs 2 Admirals.

Ok, Akainu was injured, so was everyone else pretty much. It was a war. And despite the dramatic line-up, did Akainu actually fight, much less defeat, the WB commanders? Also, if every Admiral was Akainu we wouldn't be having this discussion to begin with because you wouldn't be making the statement that DD was near Admiral level. If Akainu is so overwhelmingly powerful, as you suggest, surely he wouldn't have a problem taking out DD and his entire crew, which sort of runs at odds with what you've previously suggested. However, this is pretty much pointless, Fujitora isn't Akainu, and DD isn't one of the WB commanders, or the lot of them.

I'm certain the entire purpose of my intervention was to say that what you were addressing was irrelevant. I'm also certain it was you that requested I expound on that. You were meandering away from the point of this thread before I stopped by, which was the point of my initial comment.
