That's not how this series works, lol. Escanor's a good guy, so his love will be reciprocated at some point. It's only villains who not allowed to be in happy relationships.

And I also have a theory that Mael and Merlin came across long time ago. Or maybe both of them are lovers and Arthur could be related to both of them. Which I assume Merlin knows Escanor is Mael and loves Escanor but she doesnt show she love him.

1- arthur is the priority of merlin that we all know and she can well love him after all that stops her from doing it?

2- That thing about the son of hope I think it's like a title like the escanor that is called "the most powerful of all men".

3- I don't see why Merlin would be a fool if she doesn't choose the escanor, because after all if you love a person she has to love you and if she doesn't she is a fool? Serious? To think so is stupid.

4- no matter what it looks like, escanor will always love Merlin unless Merlin reveals that loves someone else (the most likely candidates are meliodas and arthur and escanor)

5- When was it said that the escanor was mael? because as far as I'm concerned he only has his power but nothing else and that they could be related would have to have a good explanation so that merlin hasn't noticed that the escanor power was the one of mael.

Uhm nice outline but unfortunately those 5 could only be summized in 1 sentence, "Bias Arthur" perspective of love.lol. Again you are confused, Merlin havent had shown affection to Arthur but she cares because she thinks hes the child of hope. Showing affection or caring a person doesnt mean you are in love. Ok lets make believe Merlin is in love with Arthur, that would be a one sided affair. Have you ever seen Arthur shown romantic emotion to Merlin? I dont think so. Have Escanor shown romantic affection to Merlin, obviously. How about Merlin to Escanor? Yes she did, she was the only one who was worried when Escanor engaged duel against AM Meliodas in her perfect cube and after the fight she was the only one who shows concern to Escanor to have some rest and dont act as a tough guy because your sunshined almost totally consumed your hp. Listen it needs 2 to tango in love. If either one doesnt show romantic affection that is not love.

Hey! I don’t know if it’s off the subject but do you guys think Merlin loved meliodas in the past? Like in the Q&A section it was said that the most humiliating thing in her life was confessing to someone who doesn’t reciprocate her feelings. Do you think it was meliodas ?

It probably was Meliodas, yeah.
In a volume omake (don't remember which one) Meliodas said that he wanted to buy a present for kid Ellie, but later said that Elizabeth isn't spoiled and wouldn't care about stuff like that. Merlin then said that Meliodas is already giving Elizabeth so much, including "what he never gave her."
Pretty sure she meant his love, and Merlin's known him the longest so it makes sense.
