I have a lot to say but will keep them for the actual matches it's just im exhausted and i have a work to do, if i start arguing i know i wont finish it ,

but actually it makes sense it's not a male character popularity vote its a vote for the best fitting husband, guts is no doubt a great character but he s way too ravaged to be suited as a husband (except for casca which is even way more ravaged than him) if you want to live a peaceful life you wont marry a guts like guy i guess, unless you're Casca.

Actually, you didn't. you just said it was "set in stone". If you are referring a husband must have a penis than that is up for debate. Firsly, some countries do not recognize that and do not have wife/husband on the marriage certificate. I am arguing a husband having a penis is irrelevant because there are millions of anime characters with their own unique gender expression. Maybe there is another thread where this can be debated?

One sided? Hm, I don't know what kind of Manga Wars you were following but to be fair if only people actually campaigned for their nomination in the Manga Wars instead of literally doing nothing for it then they probably would had a chance to win it.

Unfortunately that wasn't really the case since only Erin, Orgz and I were campaigning. It's only natural that people voted for the one that did put a lot of effort in their nomination.

Oh well. At least it was a deserved victory so it's okay. My hard work and dedication got paid off in the end.

Fictional characters are what authors want them to be. They don't have gender-issues unless they are written like that. Do you wanna nominate Artoria Pendragon for Husbando Wars? She lived her life as a male because she had to yet she is 100% female and so a waifu.

Of course this refers to the classic understanding of a marriage. Why wouldn't it? That is why it is called Husbando wars and not "Best Dong" wars. A husband is a husband and not a wife. This doesn't have anything to do with what they think they are. Gender and Sex are two different things. A woman who thinks she is a male but is 100% female on a biological level will always be a female unless she changes it. For example it doesn't even matter if Erza grew up with boys. She is still a woman. There can't be a debate.

This will be my last post regarding this matter, as I actually don't want to discuss this any further, sorry. This has nothing to do with this event at all.

yes they deserve love, ofc, indeed they can't help it, it's the world where thay live, but honestly would you nominate Casca as best waifu ? likely no, i guess, neither you nor anyone else out here. Why !? She has never ever been nominated in waifu wars, and i think you likely would never want her as a waifu for the same reasons i would never want Guts as a husband

I can appreciate you trying to be sincere about a topic like this, but I think you're off the mark here.

You're basically saying Erza should be eligible to be nominated as a husbando because of her masculine qualities, ignoring how she identifies. Do people think she'd want to be considered a husband? Husbands can only have masculine qualities? Wives can only have feminine ones?

A version of Casca perhaps, yes. I'm referring to Guts progression as a character though. There is definitely a Guts that isn't husband material... but we're talking about what a person develops into, not what they were at their lowest/worst.

He's scary to his enemies perhaps, yes.

Jellal, better husband than Guts? In what dimension? Guts has a dark past but he has far better than Jellal IMO. People nominate Guts even when someone like Serpico exists for a reason.
