Great, best eppisode in a while... xD,
I loved the animation.
Its obvious that they need to drag it, other wise they would catch up in seconds, but if next chapter ends with I...., I'll be happy!

what puzzled me is that they add things that hint Magellan as a logia :
*the cloud which is part of him
*when luffy says his attack as no effect (when he hits Magellan, it's logia like)
I'm not sure that was wise

Yeah there was never a confirmation that he is a logia or paramecia.

I always thought, and still think that he is Logia and not paramecia. Sure Logias are only elemental stuff, but it's a manga for gods sake, Oda can tell the truths he wants xp

One Piece Episode 436
The episode was rather short (17 minutes of new content). Most of it was Luffy struggling to continue fighting Magellan after being poisoned. Mr. 2's subplot of running away from Magellan but then fighting Hannybal to save Buggy/Mr. 3 only covered so much. It was unfortunate that we didn't get to see the end result of Mr. 2's transformation on Hannybal.

Anyways... great episode.
Great Rufy, but Magellan is too strong.

True. The pacing was really slow. they could've got to next week's episode this week.

this episode was so so. i understand it has to drag on though. cant wait until the escape. i guess we have about 6 or 7 epiodes before it starts, thats if no fillers are added

The circumstances that lead up to New Kama will take up at least 3 episodes alone. Given that the content in each episode is limited, the escape may very well be over 10 episodes away.

So 438 will be Bon-chan waking up on New-Kama, being explained and all, and @ the end we see him finding out that Luffy has already begun treatment.

On 439 Iva explains what he did to Luffy and what he can do.

On 440 Bon chan and the others cheer for Luffy and @ the end of the episode we see Luffy not screaming anymore and punching the door. End.

441, food is delivered, Luffy revived, Luffy talking to Iva and Dragon being revealed to be his father, then Iva supporting Luffy. Might end with them running after Luffy.

So basically, episode 438 will cover chapter 537 with some stuff added to prolong the episode.

439 is chapter 538.

What should be only half an episode is an entire episode of cheering so episode 440 is the other half of chapter 538, and in the end, what I said that would happen happens xD

And on 441 it's chapter 539.

So basically, 4 episodes = 3.5 chapters. Not bad actually. They can't afford to move the pacing very fast. They're like 30 chapters away from the current chapter, so, that's like what, 15 to 20 episodes? maybe 30 if it's only 1 chapter per episode, but I prefer it this way so there are no long or short term fillers xp

This is definitely slower than I expected.
Pissed off that this episode didn't end on a good note with Bon-chan defending Luffy against the Army Wolves.
Episode 438 seems to cover up to what was expected to be covered in this episode.

What's up with the blood... they putt blood in episode 377 so why did they cut the blood here... was it necessery, it almoast looked like comic relief... this was supposed to be emotional but I didn't see any emotion in that scene, just a guy with a funny look...

I'm surprised as well. The anime's rendition makes it seem like Bon really didn't fight the wolves.

The reason why this scene felt like comic relief to you is because the majority of the episode was comic relief.
