toei screwed this episode up by adding in filler materials
and hannyabal just pisses me off.
I can't believe how slow this episode is,
I was expecting the end to be

Luffy encounter blackbeard

but becos of the fillers...
such a boring episode, only nice part was the triple ownage.
Toei better don't give the same pacing crap to us in the coming arc.

I have see the episode.
Excluded the part of Buggy and Mister 3 (they have took too much time) the other parts have been good.
Amusing the parts of Hannybal.
BB and Shiryuu already from this episode seem they have make an accord (in the manga there were no signs, but of however this was very predictable, was sure by the title of the episode).
The okama are really weak (as the manga suggest), they have lost in a blink of eyes .
Great than in only one hit Rufy, Jimbei and Crocodile shoot down the "Demon Beast".
As I imagined was increased time of the fight between between Sady-chan and Iva, I hope than also in the next episode there will be for a bit this fight, I don't hope than wlll be show only the conclusion.

Every week the episodes are getting poorer imo. Toei really and truly have fk'd up the Impel Down arc. :mad

I use to love watching the One Piece episodes, now it's just... :oh

It's more painful watching these episodes compared to the manga chapters tbh. I am disappointed.

I use to fall back on the episodes whenever OP went on a break from SJ. Now that Toei has truly pissed on Oda's work, I feel enraged to the say the least. :wall

Any moment now and I will turn into Sanji back on TB.

Meh it was okay, as per usual, they added in the buggy and mr 3 parts and made it too long.
Animation wise it was average, next week we finally get the short luffy vs blackbeard fight.
Pacing is slow, its not even one chapter.
Sigh, why do I even bother, this is one piece anime's pace afterall.
6/10.

After this episode it's hard not to love Hanyabal!!! I loved how bad ass he looked and his speech mannerisms... Too bad they ruined the scene of Luffy punching BB in the face.. What's up with the dramatic stall.....

Anyways, meh. not bad as far as OP anime goes.. I guess...

me too, Hanyabal's struggle was nice to see

I understand people who are disappointed about the pace but that's the only thing they can do right now, Anime is too close to Manga. Personally I think that's better than putting in a random Filler like in Bleach, so it's ok for the moment but they have to do something if they didn't want to ruin the war :oh

oh well, Luffy punching BB should have been more epic but I think and hope they are saving money for the upcoming war

After going through more than our fair share of Hannylbal's overbearing comic relief in the past 10 or so episodes, it's refreshing to know that he does indeed have a serious side.
I agree that the pacing is slow but then again that is the norm for the episodes these days.
Next week should be better, what with Luffy and Blackbeard's confrontation.

Episode 466 was ok. The BB pirates looked much better compared to when we first saw them arrive at ID. What really put's the animation quality of this arc to shame was when they used the flashbacks of Ace, Amazon Lily, etc. Something is still not right about the animation of this arc in my eyes anyway.

Tbh, I really don't like Jinbei's new voice. I preferred the original one done by Daisuke Gōri (

).

Check this part of ep 430 (skip to 03:40 - important speech) where Jinbei is speaking and compare it to the new voice. Gōri's voice impression better suited Jinbei's character imho.

It's going to take me a long time to get use to the new one. It was cool though, the way Jinbei said "teacch" in this episode. :amuse

I can't agree with you anymore. They totally eff'd that up. For all of those who ONLY watch the anime, be sure to check out the manga version of this arc!!! It was one of the most entertaining arc's to read imo and I can guarantee that you'll love it too.

Is it just me or is the quality of these animations getting worse each week? Is their budget low or something?
The new episode had some really gay stuff in it like dragging on Hannybal + Luffy while having everyone else watch...this isn't how I read it but it was okay.

I think they did a good job showing Blackbeard's power, he's starting to look ready to challenge the admirals. Still slow though, Toei is really trying to make me hate Buggy.

Anyone else catch the odd translation when Ace was talking to Teach on Banaro? I had previously seen "You've lived twice as long as I have" suggesting Teach was >40, but here he said "You've lived through twice as much as others." Could that be a reference to his "Special body properties" or whatever it is that Marco mentioned?

Considering how the anime covers a little less than a chapter's worth of material an ep, there's no reason why the animators should use the large sum of the budget animating these episodes.

The last episode with remotely good animation was 431, and even than it was just a key scene. This arc feels really slow but I guess that's what happens when it gets really close to the manga. They're probably saving up their budget for the next arc, which probably needs it more than Impel Down.
