I can't believe they used snapshots in this episode to cover Jinbei's fishman karate! *facepalms* It looked so awesome in the manga.

I have to say, I am very disappointed with the Anime at the moment. I would rather have years of fillers than watching the actual content in slow pace and horrible animation. The thing is, there won't be a second series like FMA has, One Piece is simply way too long. For me there hasn't been a single episode since Shabondy, that was worth watching several times. It kinda annoys me, since the content is great, but this is Shippuuden all over again.

Like you said it's either this or fillers. Like everyone I want awesome quality but I'd rather not watch filers if its avoidable.

I think the studio has done a good job given their predicaments.

This episode was okay , the pacing felt somewhat faster (emphasize) The Scene i hated was the dragged out Luffy fighting the Demon Gaurd when the impending wall of doom that was Magellan coming his way and there was no need to have a flashback for some of those events with BB

But i guess it was better than the pointless buggy scenes .., I do love the ending though Magellan one shoted BB was still epic and him screaming "STRAW HAT" in a very distorted and creepy tone was really awesome it made me feel that he is The Big Boss of Hell

Decent episode.. Meh overall, but Damn! I loved the BB and Magellan parts..

Seemed like they were just trying to kill time by stuffing filler in....

Venom Road is the most bad ass tech. seriously...

I dont think so

His inconic laugh that he did through out Arabasta arc isnt featured as much here, but at his intro his laugh and voice didnt seem too different

also its been a few years since the arabasta arc Ryuzaburo Otomo voice might have changed somewhat ..

Dunno if anybody has pointed it out yet but after this episode I can understand what BB meant as he said he will shake the world. He meant WB's Devil Fruit powers. I love Oda's hints.

This episode has slightly picked up pace, now that Hannyabal is incapicitated and Buggy's faction almost out of the prison.
It was a decent episode, but hopefully the next few are better.

great episode...Magellan at the end deffinatly now looks the part to be the king of hell, ID. Luffy, now that against the demon guard, the luffy I want him to change to and remain after the war, drop it serious pure bad ass..

Way too many flashbacks in this week's episode. All in all, a very shitty job by Toei. Thank you for pissing all over the Impel Down Arc.

The best part for me was the ending where Magellan was standing infront of the staircase leading up to level 3; when he transformed and used venom road! How fricking awesome was that!?

Hm, if you skipped the Jaya summary it was more or less a good episode with a nice pace... and it ended precisely at the end of chapter 544.

I just don't get why they put in that filler scene with Luffy crushing Minotauros.

Well, the anime has gone a very long time and the flashbacks in Jaya took place over 300 episodes ago.
I don't think the average viewer in Japan, especially the little kids, would have remembered the events in those flashbacks.

Killing me with the flashbacks and all. They need to stop that. I would seriously prefer OP to come out fortnightly and have no fillers than it coming out weekly with snapshots and random fillers. Yes, fillers are helpful especially going back as far as Jaya is concerned and people who don't know the full story of BB/Lufy and Ace.

The problem is, I don't really think they care about quality, since there will always be people, who want to see the content animated. Of course it would be awesome to have One Piece biweekly with better animation / pace, but this means less money. In the end their goal is to earn money, not to perfectly satisfy their fans.

It's really a shame, the more or less most popular manga in the history is animated in such a cruel manner

I would so like that idea.
I mean, every arc they produce a set of ovas covereing the entire story, and just move to the next one when it's finished in the manga, well something like that, but it seems unlikely, since One Piece anime is breaking records after records of audience every time it's aired.
