The last two episodes are nothing but shit and dumb, all they do is flashback the whole time.

Completely ignoring this episode and looking forward to the begining of the war next week, as well as a new opening. But we'll have to wait another week after that before "the man who shakes the world" makes his appearance. The animation looks good next week too . I just hope they don't put in any random fillers in the coming cannon episodes.

If anything what they should've done over the last 2 episodes is show us Jonathan a bit since they had shown him during the Marines gathering at Marineford; showing him working alongside Sengoku and Tsuru on battle strategies and etc...

I like the "filler" its really just all the shit Oda knew they'd cover so he rushed a couple chapters and left it to the anime guys to fill out. Yeah i know "fill out" = "filler" but its different!

Like at least the OP "filler" thats comming out is relevant to the story and not just an excuse for the lack of content per chapter! *I'm looking at you naruto!*

I'm quite surprised they didn't flash back to Akainu blowing up the refugee ships from Ohara though.

I just noticed something ridiculous. All those times they showed Gol D Roger's execution in the anime, he had wooden handcuffs on, not sea-stone, suggesting he didn't eat a Devil Fruit. Wonder if they ran that one by Oda first..

I like it! It has a different feeling, it almost feels like an ending, instead of an opening, but is cool, I'm waiting for the lyrics and translation !
But I would like some more One Piece like spirit into it, its should at least put some hope at the end of the song...

Opening is simply amazing in terms of the visuals, but not too keen on the music yet. Surprisingly enough, the music is very, very serious especially for One Piece.

Considering that so many people read the manga in Japan, it's not surprising at all. They actually spoiled future events in the previous opening as well.

Good episode but disappointed at how a few scenes were done, particularly how the shichibukai and admirals were introduced; it was good but couldve been better. The scene where Sengoku reveals Ace's bloodline was good I thought.

The opening was not bad, I was expecting somethin upbeat because we're entering the war but they went with something a little "reminiscent" in mood that focused on Luffy and Ace. Imo they shouldve had a downbeat song like that after showing Ace's and WB's "misfortune" in battle.

Brilliant episode i would say. Powerful moments with the help of the great ost when: everyone is talking about whitebeard, the ost and sound effects when every Shichibukai and important Marine man is presented.
The silence was needed when Ace is revealed to be Gol D Roger's son.
A very well done episode in my opinion.
If they keep like this, the war will be as epic as in the manga, or even more, because they're gonna fill with other things. They can use every minor character (or minor character in that moment) out there. For example, i didn't know what Tsuru's power was or that it was shown until i read the SBS. xD

ugh, i can't upload my awesome luffy avatar..
oh well.

Awesome opening, the song is okay, I wanted it to be more action-like,
but still okay.
The animation is done nicely, and not from what I unexpected.
I truly expected them to show the war scenes instead of this.

The song goes well, and i give it a 8/10.

The part where they show luffy walking and running through marineford with no one around is nicely done, and when as he walks, allies and enemies are shown, awesome job there. What I din't see coming was the last part, when luffy meets ace and they reunited, but we all know it'll be short.
The opening avoided spoilers but..they somehow give the impression that everything is gonna be alright, which is creepy considering how it won't.

Episode is full of win, i was on the edge of my seat for the last few minutes.
I won't complain about the sound that ace keep making "ssss" "hhsss!"
i guess it only adds to the mood .
Next episode will be in 2 weeks time, aww.
But it's worth the wait, cos we know that he is coming.

Hey, I’m a bit late in watching ep. 459 lol but anywhoo…

I think the new OP theme is awesome. Great mid-tempo beat with befitting lyrics that totally go with the up and coming war at Marineford imo. We’re going to see a lot of action, etc so a heavy, fast-tempo (action-like) op theme would kinda ruin it for me…sounds kinda werid but oh well. Btw ~ The Thousand Sunny looks so smexy in the op intro.

There were plenty of fricking awesome spoilers in the new opening as well. It’s great for me (btw - Joz looks AWESOME!) but at the same time…for those who only watch the anime…was it too much of a spoiler blitz? Will they feel the same way seeing the “events” occur again!? E.g. revealing of df’s, etc. Hmmm. I’m glad I read the manga as well.

To the anime-only fans: PICK THE MANGA UP! Dammit!

Overall, ep 459 was meh..ok I guess. I’m still disappointed with the animation and all. But, I’m most definitely looking forward to the next episode!
