Depends on the kind of phone you're looking for. Smartphones tend to drain more juice than usual. If you don't mind the size, then get Galaxy Note, I guess? If you don't mind paying extra, then check ZeroLemon for batteries. I bought one for my SGS3 and it is amazing. It's on 9% battery life and I charged it to full on Friday night. I'm not even sure if 9% is accurate or not, as it showed lower percentage but after a while of screen off, the percent went back up.

If you don't want a smartphone, then Nokia, I guess?

I don't know it is right to ask here, but which phone have longest battery life? Because it kinda suck you just use it for 3 hour from full, and already empty. For reference, please
Depends on your budget as well as your usage. Personally, it surprises me that your phone usage could drain your phone's battery life that much. I have a Note 3, and I use the internet pretty extensively (I don't use it for social media though) and I only need to recharge it twice per day, at max. Some phones also have power saver mode, which allows you to lower your screen brightness, as well as putting your phone into sleep mode. Most of smartphone these days tend to have decent battery life, but then again it depends on our personal usage of the phone.

It sounds like his phone is an older model, thus having a lot more abuse to the battery and it not holding much of a charge anymore.

Maybe a background process going crazy? I have had that problem with my S3 a few times, particularly a daemon or whatnot connected to the GPS. Maybe he simply has too much stuff turned on. I can't count the times people have complained to me about their phones running out of battery too soon only to make them realize they have their gps, wifi and bluetooth turned on while obviously not using any of those.

ZeroLemon battery is the best ever.

Anyone diddle with iPhone 6's dong yet? If so, how is it? I hear the battery lasted for two days while at a theme park, but that could be for different reasons.

Ha, figured. Smartphones suck with battery, but that's to be expected. <_<

I got SGS5 and love it. The quality is amazing, creeping on IG has never been better. :3 It also seems to be fast and all, but overall, not much difference from SG3 from waht I noticed.

Apple stopped being innovative, revolutionary, or anything good once Jobs died.

So apple failed to estimate the amount of pressure hipster-tight pants could put on a phone? They clearly don't understand their target demographic.

Anyways, apple stopped innovating after they got the iphone and ipad out. They never really broke out of that model.... And smartwatches are still useless. A smartphone can be insanely useful, specially now that the technology exists for them to be have the horsepower they have. The same cannot be said about a smartwatch... The only valid reason to own one as far as I can tell is the fitness things it has but other than that they are more inconvenient versions of smartphones

Apple was innovative enough though, and their 4 and 4S were beautiful designs. The 6 looks more like a Samsung phone, in a bad way, and now the Plus looking like it's made of plastic. Like, the main thing Apple has right now is its fanboys and people who care about the image that an iPhone represents, but if the iPhone gets horrible, then yeah. People are already complaining about iOS 8, one or two that I know saying that Steve Jobs wouldn't have let the buggy update pass.

Smartwatches can get better, but I'll always stick with them being irrelevant and irreverent.

I don't think the iphone 4 counts as innovative. They did not really present anything new over the iphone 3 or the competition in general in terms of design or features. The design was basically the same as the iphone 3 and features were already behind what other phones could do.

How are smartwatches irreverent? Or to what exactly? To be honest I can't even think of a future use for a smartwatch. Given the size limitations I don't see how it can ever be anything but a poor smartphone that does not make calls. A smartwatch would invariably be terrible to watch videos, annoying to tell the time (it even seems unreliable in that regard since it runs out of battery quickly), it would not be more convenient to listening to music than a smartphone(perhaps only mildly so). If you could speak through it it would drain the battery and perhaps that of the smartphone it would be linked to. The only real advantage to that would be that you get to look like a power ranger. Assuming you are the sort to believe that is an advantage. Its all about the fitness with smartwatches. They would be able to take over the function of a small ipod along with insane functionality when it comes to all that fitness related stuff. Its the only thing I would look into when buying a smartwatch. Although it remains to be seen whether the apple watch is the best choice for that.

Perhaps I misunderstood the meaning of irreverent? I can think of plenty of uses, but I still don't like smartwatches and would not get them. Assumption would be that the two good things they're useful for are for checking time and schedule/tasks, and I guess making calls and sending texts, eventually. Personally though, I'd rather get a cheaper fitness checker, as smartwatches may not be reliable.

Also, apparently iOS 8.0.1 is even worse than 8. El oh el, gg Apple. They're gonna sink within few years without Jobs.

according to google: irreverent: showing a lack of respect for people or things that are generally taken seriously.

Well, yeah, they are good for that but the issue is that they are limited to that so far (the video shown in the other thread a few months ago made a point that it was the only thing they do). For day to day stuff you don't need such a thing. The sad part would be that said texts will probably end up referring you to your phone anyways.

I have read about the issues with IOS although I doubt the situation is THAT bad. Its inconvenient but it can get fixed within the short run. Its a shame for apple that they released a buggy software but provided they solve it soon it won't hurt them too much. This sort of thing happen all the time, I doubt it can be so easy to destroy their image. There is the increased crash rate for apps too but then again that is something only the tech savvy would really care about. Jobs has been out of apple for years now, if his absence was going to break apple then it would have already broken. Jobs was primarily a salesman after all. He had good eye for making products people wanted (basically removing as many features as possible) however even his innovation ended up the iphones and ipads. He was making thinner and smaller devices in the end just as apple continues to do. The main issue with apple is their lack of innovation. In that regard what will happen to them, provided they continue making decent products, is that they will be seen as one more company making phones. The only way to avoid that is for them to wow people with entirely new things which they have not done since they released the ipad (and even that is questionable as "new", tablets already existed by then).

How are they sinking? Apple fanboys still buy the shit out of anything they make. Plus, their PC division is still super successful. Apple isn't going anywhere.

The OS hijinks and "bendgate" dinged Apple stock (down 3.8%) but is no more than a temporary controversy. All of the problems are easily fixed. Operating systems don't matter to the average user as long as they can preform basic functions. These type of things never effect long term sales. Once it's out of the news cycle no one will remember.

Got another new phone this time a windows phone (Blu, the one on the right). I mainly use a Sony Xperia z1s (left)(well of my four phones the only one I paid for) while the second one in this picture is a review one from amzn, as well as the windows phone, and I have a 5inch one too from Blu.

Windows phone has been pretty awkward the app store feels so empty and since everything I did was on android I couldnt transfer anything and have felt so nekkid using this phone all day. I like the size and how cute it feels but otherwise I miss my sony phone, the glass and waterproof ness as well as large screen > cute. Id probably use the windows phone for wifi browsing around the house anyway, also oddly it doesnt get my 4G connection or anything so its pretty awful out on the streets.

The specs makes it a beast. I have owned Note 2 for few days only as I am not comfortable with the size you get on a Note series handset. Note 4 has tempted me a lot but its damn expensive here. Gotta wait for the prices to come down.
