I think you're better off connecting. I'm not sure, but emailing could also compress your pictures.

Ah thanks it seems the apps do compress the images pretty terribly, ended up just sending one through google drive and it looks fabulous..

It's because Twitter/Facebook aren't storage sites. It's hard to accommodate millions of users without sacrificing picture quality. Services like Drive or DropBox have a more specific purpose.

What's an excellent phone out there to get? S5 or HTC One? I'm mainly going with S5 because of ZeroLemon, but otherwise I hear excellent things about HTC One. I don't want an iPhone because it's not close to excellent, and I'm too used to freedom.

It does seem to be quite inconvenient, but I'm not an Apple or iPhone fan. iPhone seems to be really limited in freedom and being able to customize, so I'm sticking with Android if possible.

I dunno, might have to ask them in an email if they don't mind, I guess.

Some newb questions I have is: What exactly is a data plan? Do you think I can opt out if I will mostly be in a place where there's wi-fi (i.e. home and campus) in September?

I have a basic inkling of what a data plan is, but I don't want to ask the guy at the phone booth for more details because I know he'll try to pressure me to get it.

Data plan is a plan where you're allowed to use a certain amount of data, like 3MB or 5 GB, each at different price. I don't think you can opt out if you use smartphones as they require internet connection. You can choose the cheapest though. You're better off choosing the cheapest even if they offered a choice of no data plan, just in case.

Like, if you're outside and need to find a place, you can open up Maps and google the directions, which would not be possible if you were not allowed to use data outside.

Since Im part of that amazon reviewer program I seem to finally get a mobile phone to review (BLU Studio 5.0 C HD Quad Core, Android 4.4 KK, 4G HSPA+, 8MP Camera - Unlocked Cell Phones - Blue) Will be curious to see how it compares to my current phone.

Well, the iphone 6 is by no means innovative but it does seem to have impressive hardware. I wonder how battery life compares to other phones, if the stuff they said is true then it should be better than current phones.

I just find it annoying how they hype things like they invented it. Phones have had NFC for years, Apple is just adding it to their phones now.

I think they claim shit like that for the Apple fanboys. They'll eat anything up because it's Apple. I miss Steve Jobs.
