I didn't realize that we needed ranged options for the Thunder Manifestation... So now I'm leveling up Yoimiya, fortunately the Pyro Hypostasis is ridiculously easy.

I don't think you do. Or at least if I did then I didn't notice it. I used Eula and Diona almost exclusively to farm it. Just charged in and pounded it with a claymore mostly.

And it's especially scummy when you don't even clarify this in writing until the new banner is live and not beforehand.

Genshin has been flirting with its end since the very beginning. Every month it draws breath is a miracle.

It makes far too much money for that to happen any time soon. They brought in $1 billion in the first 6 months alone and they've probably made more money with Raiden's banner than any other banner so far.

Ranged might make it faster but I don't think it's like the Hydro version where it's basically a requirement tbh. It's just annoying running away from you at certain points.

I guess I need to remind myself that I have a Zhongli with 4pc Tenacity of the Millelith on my team, so I guess tanking all of the boss's nonsense until it stops running around like a 4 year old is a bit easier than usual lol

Yeah, I bet either could hit it.

The hit box seems bigger than you'd think it would be too. It's a lot harder to hit the Ruin Hunter than it is this thing.

There's some points in the fight that it isn't as easy to hit with normal melee attacks but yeah, it's more than doable without ranged.

finishing up inazuma's story and well... that was anti climatic.

maybe i expected too much?

liyue is currently the best story for me (I miss zhongli's voice).

Managed to get Ei to C2 (along with Sara to C6), and the Thunder Manifestation was not as hard as I expected - My team of Noelle, Xinyan, Yanfei, and Ningguang handled it well. Honestly, I think Ningguang did more damage then Yanfei...

Ningguang can do some real damage when she's built, no doubt about it. She's like a turret.

given the general hate for healers, i don't trust the "reactions" to tell the whole story.

It needs that in general for sure, but the Test Run is also way too short for no reason, not varied enough, etc. I'm not sure what we're supposed to glean from killing 8 mobs in 5 seconds with a 5star Healer.

It's way too early for me to be this definitive, but on paper she sucks and has no business being a 5 star. At least Jean can use Viridescent and buffs your ATK, has other utility with her CC and above all can do damage. Qiqi is less useful but at least she figures into Melt which is more damage than Vaporize. Kokomi seems to have this unique Fischl/Noelle-esque healer thing going on but you're also not allowed to crit so two very important stats are completely pointless on her....and your ascension stat is Hydro DMG Bonus for some reason...but her damage sucks and all of her constellations are geared towards doing damage... but she's a healer... who can't crit... for some reason?

The healing from her E is also only AoE and you have to be near it to get it so it makes it far less effective. From what I've seen the healing from when she has her Burst active is also pretty lackluster too. I get that they're trying to do something unique here but she just seems clumsy and inferior to existing healers.

I won't be rolling for her. Neither her kit nor her design tickle my fancy.

Boy, seems like a quite a few people are already pretty steamed about the anniversary reward stuff for Genshin. Which to be fair is all pretty stingy and a bit lame.

I'm sure some of it is just internet overreaction theater but there are some things in there that really do seem just designed to piss people off.

The most ridiculous thing on there is the web event thing where you have do some anniversary card for a 10% chance to get a free welkin moon. That has got to be the dumbest idea I've heard in a while. I don't understand why they would think it would be a good idea to do that. What is the benefit of annoying 90% of participants?

I think people are banking on those rewards being "Community" rewards, so not actually the entire thing, which explains a lot of it being rewards that have nothing to do with the game, which they've done before for art contests or something.... but either way wouldn't surprise me

Put corrosion in the test run
Start the characters off with low health

there's zero thought. an employee just soullessly followed a template given to them.

I get that they're trying to do something unique here but she just seems clumsy and inferior to existing healers.

So she's legitimately worse than Barbara...

from her design it seems there isn't a lot of wiggle room either. that crit rate thing is jarring.

I really don't understand why they don't just do the ol' FGO classic. A paid one time banner where you're guaranteed a random 5 star. It's makes them lots of money. Players love it because they feel like they got a great deal and they have something shiny to play with. Everybody wins. I feel like that's the minimum gatcha anniversary standard.

It's worse because they boost particle generation immensely, give them gacha weapons, etc. I mean, there is a disclaimer, but it's a mess. Haven't played her character quest yet though since I've been putting off Raiden's and it's a prerequisite.

Idk if I'd say that, but I don't think what she offers instead of Barbara is really noteworthy. A clunky pet and gimped damage. She of course looks great and the animations are great, but nothing else about it screams 5star to me.

the animations are great

kind of disappointed she attacks like ningguang- for all the flailing around she does.

then the attacks don't read well on screen
the darkening with her burst is an odd choice given how oversaturated/bright everything is with her.
