She's definitely less one-dimensional than Fischl since she actually has some AoE potential despite her totems being single-target (for some reason?), but she's still an Electro Sub DPS with off-field damage, good particle generation, and some bonus mobility. So I would still predict she's going to fill the role that Fischl does, albeit offering more.As you'd imagine I've done a bit of studying on her kit while building artifacts. I suspect she can be used like Fischl but that's not going to be what she's best at.
Her elemental skill is the Fischl part. If you're building into that you can go extra EM with her passive and build that up. But the base multiplier on it isn't great. Pretty similar to Oz just on a skill with 100% uptime. And her passive is 1 point of EM to 0.15% of skill damage. So if you've got her skill 10 she's going to do like 170% to begin with. Say you put 200 EM on her you're getting 30% damage back, plus whatever reactions are going on, for the stat investment.
How I intend to build her is around the other half of her kit. Her burst. Since the multiplier on that is pretty huge and since Ei's buff is based on the amount of energy used she gets the most burst damage currently possible out of that. It's not going to be Eula damage but at lvl 10 it's 450% on the initial hit and 600%x3 from the towers.
My expectation is that she's just going to go well with Ei. Also, as a rule, I never set aside the waifu factor.
I don't think an EM build will work very well personally. The main issue there being that it's kind of anti-synergistic with running her alongside other Electro units, which is something most Electro units kind of need, especially those with 90 energy burst costs. If you're building EM on a unit it's very easy to have that be rendered a completely useless stat if said unit isn't the one triggering an elemental reaction. This is especially an issue with how something like Electro-charged works, as well as someone like Beidou or Raiden doing a shitload of AoE damage. Of course that's just one facet of an EM build with her since her Skill actually has an EM scaling, but not sure the math will bear out and make that a useful thing to stack. Unless you want to use her as a mono-electro in a National Team type setup. I might be completely wrong but on paper that just doesn't seem ideal, unless you have no other electro units. So it might be just one of those useful bonus things that you get some added damage to her Skill accidentally, but not something worth intentionally going for if you plan to use her with Raiden, Sara, Beidou, etc.
Yeah, I think the main issue is the Traveler being labeled 5 star. None of his variants really feel like one at all. I'm still pretty interested in what the Dendro Traveler will be like though, especially since we still don't even know how Dendro will work outside of Burn.I just wish he was a little more fun to use. It seems like all that's lacking are little quality of life changes. They don't even need to change the damage and he'd be fun to play. But sometimes it seems like they designed him to be clunky.
