The grind so far has been so tiring that I'm not trying out new classes. It'd be so freaking painful to go through same stuff, after all.

It'd probably be a lot more fun if the group finder was unlocked earlier for f2p people. But I don't really know the xp gains you get from group stuff.

Group stuff? I don't know about that. I have done lots of quests, and retakes at some stuff whenever I was lost on the map, but nothing feels that easy.

You do realize that most of those dungeons are unplayable at the early levels, right? xD

Really? I figured if the group finder was open at level 15 for people who paid, there would actually be PvE content that's doable....

Well, I just checked dungeons from wiki. At the very least, you can start from lvl 30 and upwards for that.

Group finder prior to that is probably for "Group Event" quests that you need to be together with other people to kill spawned field Bosses, but the server I'm playing is crowded enough that I never need a group finder mechanism to do the quest together with, I'd say.

I never devote my mind to soley playing an MMO, so i never get bored of the grind lol.

Well to be accurate, i play MMOs while reading, or between gaps in homework. So i can't really say they aer boring because i hardly stick around long enough for the grind to affect me.

@Haku, do you traditionally play MMOs or is this a recent uptaking?

I wouldn't say I'm a traditional player, but it's not my first time playing one, either. I don't really find time to play in between stuff, however, so, I often commit fully when I'm playing, lol.

Anyways, played my Mesmer a bit. Looks okay, but eh.. Not that better than Thief.

I'd say mesmer gameplay is a little more dynamic as there are more playstyles.

There is? Well, I tried a two-handed sword I got, and a Scepter-Pistol combination. Both seemed really less than dynamic to me. Especially what Scepter does is pretty boring. You use one spell, and then wait for like 12 seconds doing nothing. Maybe I should stick to the sword instead, but that way I'm melee and it hurts a lot.
Overall, the cooldowns are massive, so, it's using a couple of spells, and then just spamming 1 and try to kill.

ah you eventually get zed like clones that can do stuff like attacking bursting cc'ing or swapping place with you

Oh. Wait, eventually? Isn't it like thief, like you unlock all skills at around lvl 7-8? I already got all five of the skills, and didn't notice a swapping ability, hmm.

All skills are unlocked by 31 right? because of the '0' key? Unless I'm mistaken.

The blind on pistol-dagger rouge is too good. Soloing is sort of a breeze, just keep the blind up on a group of like 8 mobs and swap around til you're done.

Unless they are ranged... then good luck.

But i still like my guardian more. Maybe i'll consider dropping the 50 for this game if i keep enjoying it at this rate.

Well, the mobs I see are either running at me at full speed or they are ranged, so, yeah.

I'm using dagger-pistol right now. The melee fighting capabilities are higher, although there is worth in Sword-Pistol, I think, since you can immediately blink in, deal damage, and the moment they are using their interrupting abilities, blink back out to juke.

Level 30? Wow, that's fucking awful...

Honestly level 30 isn't hard to get, i half tail the game and get to 28 in about 3 days worth of play + watch anime?

I'm sure if you were focused on leveling it wouldn't even take that long. And if you actually used the leveling bonuses they give you. (I never use the exp boosts in the beginning of the game, only towards the end)

Sword + dagger? Never tried that combo on my rogue before. Might give it a whirl and see. But my two set ups are Dagger-dagger and Dagger-pistol. Have you tried the bow on the rogue yet?
