Honestly level 30 isn't hard to get, i half tail the game and get to 28 in about 3 days worth of play + watch anime?

I'm sure if you were focused on leveling it wouldn't even take that long. And if you actually used the leveling bonuses they give you. (I never use the exp boosts in the beginning of the game, only towards the end)

I spent a lot of time and levels trying to get out of a zone of map, so, the stuff that has been done at around level 22 in videos on the net, I did them at level 28. Stuff like that. I ended up doing certain anti-siege quests, etc. several times.

Sword + dagger? Never tried that combo on my rogue before. Might give it a whirl and see. But my two set ups are Dagger-dagger and Dagger-pistol. Have you tried the bow on the rogue yet?

No, right now, I'm using Sword + Pistol. Never played around with Sword + Dagger.
Bow, I don't know. I think it's just to swap between weapon sets and leash a mob, maybe. If you are melee, that is. Other than that, I see no purpose whatsoever if you are going for heavy burst, since I found the damage rather lacking.

I did them whenever I got them. Next is up at lvl 30, I think.

28. Just got to the new map, finally. Mobs over there are giving more exp, lol..

dont bother clearing mobs for exp, its just not efficient. quests and exploration yield more exp

Well, I know, but I just don't have that much fun without mobbing, so, I still do it here and there.

Just realized that to be able to do my level 30 lore quest, I have to either wait till level 35 or buy the game. Well played

ahh back in the day there weren't any level requirements to continue with your story quests, only prerequisite was that you cleared the mission leading to the next one

made it easier to rush through them with premades, ended up ugly with me being level 50 during the island defense quest lol

Finally bought a nice armor yesterday with nice stats I found somewhere from a merchant I unlocked with a quest. I guess mob drops are way ahead of merchant items, which is to be expected, anyway.

I bought it with karma. I guess that's how nice items are bound to be bought from merchants, rather than common items that you buy with silver/bronze coins.

Save your karma for later

You can be pretty flashy stuff with it later on (for lots and lots of karma)

It's not particularly hard to farm it up either, I can explain that stuff later. But the more you have to spend, the better. But yeah, the small amounts now won't be that much of a deal later I suppose~

I only bought one item, anyways. I thought a lot of quests were giving karma, so, it felt like I could spend a bit since I wasn't getting any chance to buy stuff from the common merchants.

The grind is real, I'm still trying to get to lvl 35 to get to my story, though past few levels have been relatively easy. Sword/Pistol is indeed more fun.

Yeah save it beyond that as well, large quantities will yield interesting stuffs

It's farmable though, especially now that more and more people are playing it

Mob experience starts to get relevant a bit with bonus XP stuff or whatnot. I don't know if it's coincidence or not, but from rams or sheeps or other naturally "neutral" monsters give a lot of bonus XP to me.

Also, 80 is the max level right? If we f2p players making it to 80... will the game be basically the same as the full version without the expansion? because i know we unlock features along the way?

@Haku, have you tried the pvp yet? It's pretty interesting. The whole leveling so that you and other people are the same mechanic makes it easier to get into.

Well, there is a class you can unlock with the expansion. Other than that, I guess there isn't that much difference.

The character slots can be purchased separately from what I read, so, it shouldn't matter.

And no, I didn't try PvP. I don't find it that much fun, to be honest. I'm not even familiar with what other classes' do to make PvP work.
