That's exactly why I haven't been able to get into this fight. Ippo and Kamogawa have said several times that they've dealt with much stronger opponents. Plus, Malcom is as brittle as a graham cracker, considering how he got hurt by a graze, so it looks like the match will hinge on a few good hits from Ippo. And that's just dull.

(The character in my sig is Mikami, from Death Note. And he's actually just writing something in a book, believe it or not.)

Damn that's Mikami? Lol i mistook a pen for a sword. So sad.

Hmmm Malcom looks smooth on his feet and he doesn't really have any fear of Ippo's punches. Since he thinks they cannot be worst than a bullet. Although Ippo hasn't gotten a clean hit yet. However at this rate a clean hit from Ippo is looking unlikely unless Malcom gets overconfident and aims for a big hit (unlikely since he's calmly taking his time).

Owell i just hope there is a big finish where Ippo and the Coach figures out the trick and finally he can land in a huge hit then makes Malcom vomit or something.

Hahahaha well Ippo will make him feel like he's has gotten a hammer to his ribs. Providing that Ippo gets in a hit. Just a single hit and the fight is spun around. I mean remember that match where Ippo took on this guy who trained up his Abs till they were rock solid. Ippo just blew his guts to shreds. Now all Ippo has to do is to get that one hit in. Instead he's struggling and being all confused.

To be honest though I have no idea what the trick for Gedo is. ^^

Lol its still the same. Ippo getting his face beaten into. But finally someone figures out the trick. Apparently it seems to be simple and you would not believe whom exposed the trick in the first place.

I would say the trick here but I cannot read Japanese T_T so i am just guessing its something very basic.

Gedo is probably just shortening his jabs at random to throw off Ippo... that and the fact that his one eye is swollen shut... his depth perception is way off...

Hopefully this fight ends in the next few rounds, I am sick of it...

Gedo isn't a bad character, but I hate seeing Ippo go into newb mode like this.

Geddo is just throwing his punches with his finger extended, thus making it seem his punches are longer than it is. It's a cheap trick and can't imagine Ippo fell for it.

Alright, I'll play along. His hand is in a glove that is wrapped in bandage. He isn't hitting hard, which is why Ippo isn't that hurt by it, it's more of a flick. It's just what he uses to throw Ippo's distance off. So his fingers aren't jammed or crushed.

Lol too be honest no. Most of the moves cannot be used in real life. But this must be a trick beyond boxing to fool the straight forward stumps that are the Coach and Ippo.

Flicking the fingers and mixing them up but having enough damage to rock Ippo? Gedo must have taken karate lessons or something ^_^

He shakes his glove... maybe pulling his hand out of it to increase his range a bit.. He just hits Ippo with the padding and that's what is causing all the swelling..

After all it seems like the uppercuts are what is doing most of the damage..

Wonder how the author is going to explain all this in the next chapter. Suddenly from a boring fight it turns exciting for me cause Aoki was the one that figured out the trick for the move. hahahahha
