May day is what you think it is, it's a bank holiday on the first monday of May.

Except May Day is celebrated on the 1st of May traditionally, bank holdiay this time is not on the 1st of May, but still a public holiday.

We know what the holiday is eni. He was referring to the bank holiday on Monday. in England we get a public holiday for May day which isn't on the 1st of May as it got moved.

I wanted to ask a question.

A few weeks ago, a girl that i recently met needed a date for an upcoming wedding. So she asked me, and I politely accepted the invitation. But here is my issue.

Now I have to the follow the rule : Don't look better than the groom!

Just wondering, should I wear a typical suit or a tux?

Friends of the groom made fun of it and came in trashy clothes after the ceremony (as a play on the bridal couple, they changed back to suits later). Oh, memories

If that's the wedding's only 'dress code' than just wear a regular suit.

Tuxedo only when the bridal couple specified formal evening attire for the wedding (called 'black tie' on invitations, if I remember correct). But seeing that a wedding includes the ceremony as well as the ('drink and dance') party, most prefer it a little more comfortable for their guests.

Total agreement here; House is absolutely amazing. UNfortunately I've missed the last episode or two due to work, but good God, Hugh Laurie is a friggin genius. Put House and Wilson together and the episode is made for me xD

Hm, I should theoretically have party tomorrow evening. It's April 30, so it's Walpurgis Night and there are plenty of parties ('Dance into May') and bonfires allover Germany through the night. But possible can't leave the kids alone, so... meh. Guess, I'll have to wait for May Day itself and attend one of the festivals with the kids together

Could technically attend one of the demonstrations as well... hmm... ah no >.<

bonfire parties are the best. You know when people are feeling it when they start disappearing into the woods from time to time all sweaty and hair all messy.

Pft. I barely wathc anime anymore :/ I get bored so easily. I watched the first two episodes of FMA and stopped because TokyoToshokan stopped friggin working! The eps I have to download have to be mpeg4 because I have a mac and am too lazy to get the correct file adaptors to watch mkv and avi and whatver.
