Miscellaneous Help with Edited Mangas (how to)

Hey ppl!
Im thinking of creating a Edited Manga group to translate one piece to portuguese.
my crew (xD) and i cant clean or read jap, so we asked Null if we could use their scans and so.
they okd me and i began to work
but theres a small problem.
im kinda of completely noob with this and i wanna know how do i do the Edited Manga
i know its already cleaned and so
i just have to write the translated text and put inside the baloon, right?
ok, but whats the easy way to do it??
im doing it in a kind of fancy way, but i think it takes way too much time
and that u guys who r experienced would have a better way for me.
ill describe the way i do, so that u can know what i mean.

1 write the translated sentence of a baloon on the notepad;
2 use the rectangle tool to make a white rectangle over the text inside the baloon;
3 paste the trans inside the baloon and get the font size right for it to look nice and 'inside' the baloon;
4 thats it, go to the next one!
just to make sure: i put the trans layer over the rectangle layer and so.

thats what i do, but if u have a simpler way, pls share it!

why are you putting a rectangle over the text? just take the selection tool and press the delete button. The just open the text tool and put the text in. Theer really isnt a much easier way because you are just gonna be copying and pasting mostly. Shouldnt take that long.

post a sample page of your typesetting (which is what this part of the process is called) and ill, or someone else, will tell you if you are on the right track

hum there it is how im doing it!
and btw im using comic seans ms cuz i couldnt find which font null is using.
if any of u know what it is and where cna i find it, id be glad!
i looked over dafont for some time but didnt find anything useful.
guess thats all!

ps: as u could see, there were somethings that i left unchanged, since the meaning was the same, like laughts and the so.

edit2: if thats called typesetting, was does the editing do?

well, to answer your last question first, i guess editing would be the entire process of taking the raw to final form. I split it up and said typesetting but i should have included cleaning which is taking the raw from nasty looking to beautiful.

You should try to imagine a diamond around the text and make it fit into that. it makes the text look better. Other than that it looks good

Also, i would imagine the font that null uses is wildwords and you can find it here http://www.unblessed.net/guide/type/fonts.html
