I remember that the manga was at the end of the ant arc (killuah protecting komugi from pufu) when i started studying.
I took my time studying and now i got my bachelor's degree.
That is kind of depressing.


It's good that there's tower of god, it's the only shonen i can bear cept HxH.

To be fair, we discussed it earlier as well, there's no empirical reason to assume the show is gonna come back anytime soon. The franchise as a whole isn't really being touched either. Well asides from the recent licensing

I stand by what i said about that matter <:
I think there will be news about a chapter before the year ends.

Aside from that, i think it would be nice if togashi allowed someone to make a spin off series.

I mean, the non canon movies seemed to be fine with him, someone making a manga or anime spin off about the backstory of kite and kites training under ging would probably be pretty cool.

Or a glorious 'zushi, master of heaven's arena' spin off.

He's taking a break. I was informed by outside sources at how long he has been a mangaka outside of HxH. The Hiatus's are him basically trying to take a well deserved break that is probably going to progress into an unfinished product.

He's been a mangaka for at least 25+ years, and has all the money he needs. He has no intention of dusting off his table and working hard core to finish it. Because he doesn't want to ruin it + he has no monetary desire to do so.

Hell, as you pointed out it just got licensed for official English release...

I always stick with the fact that it has never been a year without a chapter of Hunter x Hunter.

In 2013, we got the One-Shot like what? December?

So, the hopes for this year are on.

Exactly that.
I mean, togashi could always give us a leorio special 2 chapters.

It was argued that togashi might be too sick to actually draw, but i do not think that.
The last time we got chapters, he had to take 2 hiatusses inbetween the serialization to finish off his 9 chapters and then get into hiatus.
That seems to me like he forced himself to do the last few chapters until he notices his back pain gets bad.
Now, with such a long time of hiatus and probably medical assistance, i find it unprobable that 2 chapters are impossible for him while he was able to force himself to publish the chapters he had while his condition was severe.

Well, in a way, i guess it is a good thing Togashi has the time to plan out the DC arc thouroughly.
I guess it is pretty hard to write characters like pariston and gin consistently, because they may not fall for dumb traps.

For example, in tower of god, the genius koon kind of often does mistakes which annoyed some people with tower of god.

Something like is not that problematic with a character who is in the protagonists team, but with a villain whose maintrait is his incredible and devilish intellect that could severly hurt his character.

With kurapica, gin and pariston, there are many characters this arc which are not easy to write.

I simply think it is a proof of passion what he did with the start of the DC arc (or shall we call it saga?).

Someone without passion for what he does is neither willing nor able to pull of an exposition like that.

Also, i think, if it'd be clear that he is unable to carry on for good, we'd know it by now.
I might be wrong on that one tho, there are cases of mangas which were on indefinitie hiatus forever before being cancelled.

There is no way the manga could be this good if he had no passion. He could have ended the manga at the Election arc if eh wanted, it would have been pretty bad, but still acceptable in a way.

There are no news of his return at all so, let's assume it's not real...

Right.
After all thi time people would be able to bring out very detailed fakes. Would be no problem for them.
Think abut very often they do it for popular ongoing mangas as One Piece, but One Piece comes almost every week, so most of the fakes were pretty bad because they werent really thinking about a good fake.
In HxHs Case its on Hiatus since forever, so if you want to make a good fake you had plenty of time.
