I'd say yes. Togashi said he liked it and that he'd like to draw why Hisoka was on the ground at the beginning their interview. So if he draws this one day its canonicity couldn't be denied IMO.

Finished reading it, that was cool. It's heavily implying that Moritonio got crushed by Ging in the exam. Maybe saying it's canon is too much until Togashi draws that story he talked about.

Tonio's ability is some mix of Transmutation/Conjuration? Or it's pure Transmutation resembling a Conjuration ability a lot like Machi's? I'd say it's the latter.

I loved the implications generally... the jongleurthing in the hunterexam from hisoka... then his timelimit for gon and killuah to enter the heavenarena which is nearly the same which he needed for learning Ren. If you love hisoka and his storyelements you enjoy this oneshot really good.

I have to say that I love the fact that Ishida included Hisoka's famous line about his aura having the properties of both rubber and gum. when I got to that panel I was chuckling and saying out loud like a crazy person.

About Tonio's ability, maybe I was wrong. Since Hisoka used Gyo it means Tonio used In. Scarface is similar to Texture Surprise so it's Conjuration. And after this the pillars became invisible. So, the pillars are conjured, hidden with In, and he gives them magnetic properites with Transmutation.

Not really, the Hatsu thing aside(which is influenced by the environment). Wing estimated that Gon and Killua could learn Nen in a week or even earlier. Gon also knew how to use Zetsu even before learning Nen. They knew how to spread their Aura instinctively too.

I also LOVED the spinoff! So engrossing, and fit incredibly well with the HxH canon. Hisoka learning nen from a serial killer, infiltrating a trope prior to sneaking into another one years down the line, and being as insatiable as ever made this one of the best one-shots I've read in a long time.

I love it! It's part of my Headcanon from now on (At less until Togashi fully includes it (At that moment it would be full Canon) or rule it out (At that moment will be Non-Canon))! (I don't see it contradicting anything from the Manga anyway...)

I agree with Demonspeed about Moritonio's Hatsu Blood Magnet, it use both Conjuration and Transmutation, Moritonio is a Transmuter so his category is very close to Conjuration (He is 80% efficient in Conjurer techniques) so it makes sense.

So, Hisoka is basically a genius like Ging, he can analyze other peoples abilities and techniques, understand them and make them his own (Just like how Ging analyzed, copied and improved Leorio's Hatsu and process; Hisoka analyzed, copied and improved what he saw (Like the juggler routine, Akabi's Ten & Ren, and, of course, Moritonio's Scarf ace to create Texture Surprise)).

I would love if the chapter is republished with finished art instead of just sketches though! But I'm not complaining, it's just that some drawings like Page 65 feel so good that I just want to see them finished!!

I also think that this seals the deal with Hisoka's fate. Just like Han solo got a spin-off around his death, Hisoka is getting his own.

Lets see the things to author picked up from the Hisoka we know.

First... we know that hisoka loved bungee gum at his young age.... and thats what he is consuming the entire onshot.
Second... the cardpyramid he builds and destroyed... we know this habit of his.
Third... the juggling which i already mentioned.
Forth... he wants to steal his sky swimming ability... well he did the same with bungee gum.
Fifth... Moritonio has nearly the same fetish as hisoka himself.
Sixth... a lined that Hisoka used to... "the first rule is to hide your magic tricks" or something like that.
Seventh... his quote about his nentechnique which another user already mentioned.

So really many, many, many kudos to Togashi from me. The only thing i missed is his erection in the fight. No homo.

As the trope goes, when an important character is about to die, he gets back story development. Funnily enough, his story started with taking the kill the head of a troupe, and will end with him being killed by the head of a troupe.

I really liked Torio' ability, very interesting in its uses, but Hisoka' ability to make ad hoc use of his new hatsu and kill him proves to me he's more talented than Killua and Gon, at least in terms of learning ability.

Togashi X Ishida OMG "Hisoka's Orgasim" Has never been more appropriate.

I Like this one shot from Ishisa, he told Hisoka's brief backstory very well. I like how he learned Nen from Moritono & was even more talented than Killua & Gon, even though he does seem to be a bit older than them still.

The only thing I dislike which isn't really a big deal due to if this is cannon or not. but kinda is....Is Hisoka creating Bungee Gum & using it in such a fashion...Genius or not from the info on Nen training & it's growth, Togashi has given us it takes quite some time to actually fight with Nen especially if your up against experienced users or to even develop a hatsu that can be used efficient/effectively. That aside it was pretty Kool..I love TG/TG:RE & Ishida Sensei & hail it & HxH the best Manga I've ever read
