Hey everyone,
Blackbeard is the enticipated main rival Luffy has for Pirate King. Many thought Kidd may be a challenge for Luffy to surpass, but the great contrast between their results in their first ever Yonko confrontation has made it clear that Oda decided to skip that part and make Luffy a better pirate all around as a result of his Rayleigh training.
It seems on the surface at least, that Luffy gained an advantage even on Blackbeard by gaining information from two Road Poneglyphs while Blackbeard isn't said to control any of them.
However, Blackbeard is a veteran of the New World in every sense of the word. He gained all he gained through decades of planning and hard earned experience, and now that he is regarded as one of the four Emperors, he probably commands more power than he ever did before.
There is two pieces of information revealed in the Zou arc which make me think Blackbeard may actually have copies of some of the road poneglyphs.
1) Nekomamushi saying in passing that there are copies of the road poneglyphs floating around. (It's wherethe Strawhats got the idea to copy it)
2) Oden, Momonosuke's father, who presumably had access to the Wano poneglyph and the Zou poneglyph, sailed on Whitebeard's fleet a long time ago. The same fleet Blackbeard sailed.
There is of course also Big Mom's poneglyph, and the fourth road Poneglyph of which no one knows the location.
So how many Road Poneglyphs do you think Blackbeard has has access to through his pirate Carreer? And how close is he to One Piece? Closer than Luffy perhaps?
