While he had the demon blood (past 10 years or so) he wouldn't have been able to learn a druid technique, that is incompatible with demon blood. If he wanted to learn it he would have needed to be free of the demon blood, especially Purge because it purges all evil intention. I can't see him having demon blood and using Purge.
Plus we didn't hear him say he trained with Zaratras, and seeing how everyone thought that Purge was Zaratras ability I doubt it.
Well, Purge is said to only erase "abominable" souls, so I would imagine their blood would be able to be left intact. Heck, we saw it when Purge was used on the Vampire and the Grey Demon. Their bodies stayed in tact, it was just their souls that was snuffed out. I imagine that, even with Demon blood, he would be able to use it still. To be honest, I'm still unsure as to whether or not he still has the Red Demon blood within him or if he can still use the Hellblaze enchantment.

I don't know the requirements for Purge, but I would imagine that one needs to reach a certain level of ability to use it. Hendrickson was probably too weak to use it all those years ago, but now that he's stronger than he was, he could use it. Maybe one needs a strong level of spirit to use it?

The real question is whether during all those years did he bother learning it? So far we've seen that after the death of Zaratras, and under the influence of Fraudrin, Hendrickson experimented on demon blood, in order to become stronger and fulfill the prophecy. So rather than studying druid techniques he went the opposite way, and learned demonic enchantments like Hellbaze. While it's not clear if demon blood would prevent him from learning druid techniques, it could be that he simply didn't bother learning Purge, a druid technique back then, because of how he saw the demons as superior.
I do think there is no demon blood left in him, he showed disgust at the idea of the Ash demon's blood that was running in his veins once, and we know for sure that he doesn't have the gray demon form anymore. My guess is that now he went full druid, with him learning Purge and a few other techniques. That imo could make a difference. The sins and all those who are fighting the demons will need the power of the druids and the Goddess, since they're the most effective against demons.
Also with his current power level I think it wouldn't be hard for him to learn Purge, he could be around Zaratras power level back then, he's a great holy knight after all.

Hmm, his goal was to start a Holy War, so perhaps he did master Purge so he could use it against the demons when he succeeded in his plan. Seeing as how he wanted the Holy Knights to be as strong as they could by any means necessary, he might have mastered all his druid techniques along with the demon techniques just so he could be as powerful as he could be. Ya know, cover all his bases.

He was surprised at how strong the 10 commandments were, so I don't think he carefully planned it. Also don't forget that it was Fraudrin that was manipulating him to ressurect the demons, so it was in his interest that Hendy was more on the demon side, and if he ended up learning Purge it would have foiled Fraudrin's plan.Purge could force him out of Dreyfus body, if it doesn't manage to kill him. Once out of Dreyfus body he prolly can't come back, and if Hendrickson has Purge he can't control his body either, so he would have to look for another host other than those two.

Fraudrin was manipulating him to resurrect the demons, but Hendy thought he was doing it to start a Holy War and make the Kingdom and the Holy Knights stronger, which he did by any means necessary, including using the demons' own power. The idea was always to fight against the demons though.

Purge seems like a power one must activate instead of something that is passive, so if he did know it, it doesn't mean it would automatically purify his own body. So he probably studied it and knew how to use it, but never felt the need to use it yet, especially because of his plan and the fact that he himself already had demon blood within him.

It's also possible that Fraudrin forced him to never use it on Drefus' body or his own.

Well, as far as we have seen so far it seems like to an extent those possessed by fraudrin can remain conscious while possessed, just not in control.Fraudrin made the point that dreyfus wanted hendricksen to be left alive after the demons were revived after all. I am thinking that them not remembering specific stuff relied on further control from fraudring. I mean, hendricksen was able to remember absolutely everything after he was released from the control, he just told the 3 misfits. Which perhaps means he does not care about meliodas finding out the truth.... Perhaps it goes as far as being a taunt to the guy.

My prediction is the following:

King: Learns how to use Chastifol to it's maximum potential, increasing his "Disaster" ability and endurance as well.

Diane: returning to the giant's clan seems to be the only, if not the best option for her. Learning from Matrona i am assuming.

Meliodas: would need to get control over his demon mode, or find a way for Merlin to give him back his power.

Merlin: as has been stated, she just needs to upgrade her level of magic and preparation.

Gowther: Get an upgrade

Ban: find Zhivago (the one who told him of the fountain of youth, who i am assuming is the bandit leader that Ban might have been around) and train with him. Learn how to use "Snatch" to an even greater extent. He might not increase his power level by much, but, his ability will be broken as hell.

Escanor: ... don't think he needs to get stronger to be honest, just needs to control his power. Might decide he wants to kill a commandment before the sins are ready. who knows.

The issue here is not their abilities, the issue is their power levels. Learning to use what they already have to a greater degree is helpful but not nearly enough. What each sin needs is to increase their current power levels at least tenfold to have a shred of a chance. The only one of those that might work within the context of what the sins need is king's because mastering chastiefol equates to drawing out more power from the sacred tree. Even disaster becoming more prominent would be irrelevant if there isn't a power level of 40000 behind it.

Meliodas:
Learning to use his full demon power

Ban:
He will find his sacred treasure and will be trained by faires
King:
Will learn to use the full form of Chastiefol and maybe a training by someone
Gowther:
He will met his creator that will power up him.
Merlin:
Maybe she will find an ancient magic book,or someone like this to improve new magics... but I really don't know.
Escanor:
When he'll be found he needs to control his day's form
Diane:
I dont' know

King and Meliodas have similar problems. In fact, if the wings make King any stronger, maybe even identical. So they would have to use a similar approach. Same for Escanor. Ban might be able to steal much more strength. Gowther can't really do much, since his abilities are mind based. Except if he increases his spirit. Merlin, no idea. Diane just training.

I don't see how or why meliodas has to learn anything. His situation so far seems to be that meliodas was among the stronger demons and for some reason lost most of his power. His situation suggest he should get back the power he lost somehow rather than learn anything. In the past he was someone galan wanted to face of with, thats not something that makes sense if meliodas was always as weak as he is now.

I am not sure if trained by fairies is a thing. We have chapters dedicated to the fact that fairies are cultureless creatures without ideas or purpose of their own, only helbram had a notion of those things. The only fairy from whom ban could even learn something would be king... With ban it would make more sense that he abuses the crap out of his immortality to train. He literally can't get hurt and getting physically stronger is all about causing small tears which heal and slowly make you stronger. With his healing he should be able to turn a day's worth of training into years worth of it.

Diane probably just has to awaken her potential or something. According to matrona it was only her disposition that held her back. She probably just needs to get really pissed and go super giant or something.

The issue the sins have are not of skill, they need pure raw power. Learning new tricks simply won't help as new tricks don't do anything against overwhelmingly greater powers. Even if all the sins had 10000 power they still wouldn't be able to dent a single commandment...
