Question How do you feel about Lisanna?

So my first thread it's common to see her name when bringing up your hatred for characters but I do wonder if everyone feels that way. I don't hate Lisanna, she's kinda pretty but she's just not relevant or noticeable anymore. This isn't a bash post either. How do you guys feel about her? Looking forward to the comments

An entirely unncecessary existence that did more for the story while she was dead. It added weight and development to Natsu Mira and Elfman.

Gotta keep in mind that i only watched the anime. In the manga, i mean, it's already black and white, with Lisanna having white hair... Even more useless.
But white hair is cool. Well we have Mira for that already though, so yeah, wats Lisanna doing.
Very nice name Lisanna, i would name my child like that since it's beautiful, but her character is so useless that i would be ashamed to name myself after her.
While looking at takeovers: oh god her bird form is so ugly... But at least it's colorful. And her bunny form, just try to find even uglier than that, you can't.
She's beautiful, but her transformations don't reflect her beauty since they're so ugly.
At least she was useful once! I think..? If i remember correctly. When Mira was rejected by everybody but thanks to Lisanna and also Elfman she didn't end up suiciding or something. Good point for Lisanna.

Happy is 100 times weaker than Lisanna yet he's 100 times more useful.

Who is she the favourite character of? I guess nobody LOL. I'd see nobody take Lisanna as avi or background, the only reason would be her sexiness, with her jaguar takeover or something.

Basically. Other than her being a cute and potential pairing with Natsu, don't care for her. She isn't that interesting to me nor does she really stand out, other than being "little sister" cute.

I voted for don't care but I honestly hate her. One thing I still don't get is why nalu fans still feel spite by her. She basically gave up on her dream of marrying Natsu when she told Lucy to stay by Natsu. I hate her cause she's useless and she drags down Mira's character so much that people underrate her. Not underrate as in she's the strongest in FT or on Natsu, Gray, Erza's level (she's around there but on the same level) but it's gotten to the point she makes it seem Mira is weaker than she really is, which sucks cause Mira is a great character. Still have no idea why she's fighting Ajeel.

I really couldn't careless about her. Tbr I don't really like her at all, she's uselessly weak with her magic which none of her souls are strong or pretty at all (especially that cat one she stay uses all the time) and I find her an extra waste of space and uninteresting to the point I find her more of a background irrelevant character. That's about it.

If she was just used in Edolas Arc I think I'd have liked her. But since she was revived she's been no good. So a fail for me. I dislike her (though she does nothing wrong as a person).

Don't know why people dislike Lisanna.. That's a shame because she is one of my favorite female characters from the Fairy Tail Guild.

She's honestly probably the most underrated character in the entire series. But then, this is coming from somebody named "Nemispelled", who pretty much enjoys the company of all the Strauss Siblings in this series.

In fact, I respect the Strauss family the most because of their rough/tragic past. I'm glad that they joined Fairy Tail since they are the best group/family in FT, in my opinion.

Seeing the 3 Strauss siblings as kids and growing up in the guild just raised them higher on my "Favorite FT Characters List".

Lisanna even mentioned this arc that she trained with Mira over the timeskip. If the Strauss Siblings weren't trolled as much as they currently are, I'm sure that they could have made this arc a lot better than the pitiful state it is in right now.

I agree. I don't understand where the hate for Lisanna stems from. Yeah, she's weak. But that isn't a reason to dislike her. In fact, they shouldn't even be related... Liking a character shouldn't have anything to do with their strength. It goes both ways. One shouldn't base a character's power off of favorites either.

Anyways, if you think about it, Lisanna hindering Mirajane actually helps create suspense for the story. We get so much PoF, that this is the only time where we get a glimpse of Fairy Tail losing. As for Mirajane's power level, half of it is determined by what was shown in the manga. But the other half is up to the readers/viewers' interpretation. If you're a person who solely relies on feats without taking certain factors into consideration, then yeah, Mirajane will be weak. But if you are reasonable with portrayal and understand that not everything is about feats, then Mirajane is quite average. Maybe a little higher. My point here is that Lisanna's presence has nothing to do with Mirajane's power level.

As for the poll, I voted "Don't care or mind/irrelevant". I have no reason to like her. But I don't hate her.

With that said, I'm going to give you guys my criteria for NOT liking a character:

1. Character's with Horrible Personality
Example: Erza's Father. I have absolutely no respect for him.

2. Annoying Characters
Example: Ichiya. Contrary to most, I don't find humor in his scenes and he adds nothing to the story. I'd argue even less than Lisanna. Besides, I find someone like Happy funnier. Maybe that is because I'm not a fan of trolls.

It does not displease me or cause me hype, it seems pretty, but nothing more, Lissana is a character who does not have much background l what makes it difficult to have a feeling for her, I can not deny that, that she has a nice design, but in The Fund is a Mirajane beta version, although something simple, so really, it is not my favorite character, but I do not hate it.

It would just be good if he had some background and did not depend so much on his brothers for plotting.

No it doesn't. Not when it's used for every fight the two of them are together. Her literal only use in the story right now is hostage and handicaping her siblings. That's why she was more useful dead. She was a source of strength. Something to overcome and to live as hardest to live for her share as well.

I don't really feel anything towards her now. She seemed nice before and I felt bad for Elfman and Mira that they lost their sister, but now that she's back... Damn, her being gone bringed some nice stuff with it actually and it got literally wasted. Now she's just alive for just the fact of being alive and Mashima obviously doesn't know what he should do with her... And that's awful.

You're misunderstanding my point. I'm not saying whether Lisanna is more useful dead or alive. All I'm saying is that "being weak" is not a reason to hate a character. At least for me. You can be disappointed but that's about it. Bashing Lisanna for handicapping Mirajane isn't necessarily right, in my opinion.

Oh my, when i hear the word "hatred" towards the characters like Lisanna i'm mostly don't know what to say, because it's just pointless to "hate" characters like that.

i adore relationship between Natsu and Lisanna when they were kids. ( it's obvious she is still sweet to him and will always be )

Lisanna is very caring person towards everyone in guild ( and of course towards her siblings), she is real sweetheart.

Her Character was better off dead. She had more impact to the story as a dead character and added more depth to Natsu, Mirajane, and Elfman. Natsu's drive for friendship and his over protectiveness for Lucy would have more meaning if Lisanna his childhood best-friend died. Natsu's freak out over the idea of Lucy being dead would of had more feel to it in my opinion if Lisanna was dead.

I also want to add that, I feel the root of the fanbase's hate for Lisanna is the fact that unlike the other female characters their isn't much kick-ass about her. we got a few sex appeal transformations and some goofy useless full animal takeovers. Lisanna could of been a cooler character if done right. Hiro Mashima could of done more with her animal theme. Her Catgirl, Harpy, and Mermaid forms were a start but she could of been so much more. Just look at the list of animal hybrids she could of became.

but instead we got pointless fan-service from her. Just look at other female characters in the series, Most of them have sexy transformations that's fan service but it works because their transformations make them powerful which makes them cool, we like them even more because of it. Erza's armor, Mirajane's demons, we got Lucy's Stardress which is 75% fan service but with hidden potential super speed, super strength, and long range attacks.

Lisanna fails in my eyes because she just lacks what makes anime women cool. She could be doing some Wolverine style weapon X attacks but instead she's putting on a catgirl outfit and playing cheerleader.
