Cleaning How to Clean Manga...

Well rykarreolacr spanked me asked me to make a cleaning tut on how i clean dragon fall manga.
So here goes.
I pick page 6 from chapter 3 of Dragon Fall

This will take you less than 2-3 minutes :D
The raw quality is extraordinary so it's not gonna be to hard.
Before everything i desaturate the page *CTRL+SHIFT+U*
We start of by leveling the page until the qrays become white.*actualy the grays are suposed to be white but the scan quality gets faded...**To open the level tool pres CTRL+L*
From the original settings

So now the white parts are white right?
Now there are many options to get the black parts to look good but i prefer doing the folowing thing.
Duplicate the layer *Ctrl+J* like this
*Oh yeah forgot to say that i didn't sesaturate my pic when i started the tut =)) , so please desaturate before you start, i desaturated it after , same result but the pics that are above this one are a bit green if you can see :)*
Duplicate the layer and set it on multiply or on color burn.Usualy color burn , but for this pic i used multiply.
Color burn kinda pixelates the image sometimes.
Final image + duplicated layer step.

Hope you got the esentials , it's a really shity tehnique but works in usual cases.
I only use it on verry hq raws that don't have grays like naruto dose.
*I mean when the character skin is gray in the hq version of the cam pic*

Maybe you're working with the image in greyscale already?

Ah, I see. One additional thing, if a picture is scanned as two pages... how should one go about separating the images? (to make two pictures 1) sorry for asking stupid questions but I think it would sort of add to the tutorial?

I always do this gently, then take a whute brush and do the rest. Only layers cant do!
